If they brought Shadow back she could be a foil/buddy for him. They would probably put a lot of their own spin on her character, though, along with a visual redesign, same as for everyone else. I can imagine the production team for this show struggling a bit with sega to give her an adequate bust size, though. I mean, there is that french component, so I'm sure they'd want to.

I think Rouge is actually the most complex character in the actual games. That's not saying much, there's nothing about her that's really original, just a blend of some catwomanesque cliches with that "vaguely sexy older sister figure" type that shows up in japanese culture sometimes, but she can believably manage more emotional range than the rest of the cast.

I'd like to see what they did with her, anyway.

I think you're reaching, I'm pretty sure I could have processed all those jokes in my early 20's. Anyways, the show will still entertain children even if they don't get all the jokes because stuff is happening. It's visually entertaining and it's written in a way that the parents can enjoy it too. Any show designed for young children should take this approach as to not drive the parents insane while they are subjected to it.
