I got some bad news for you but there has been actual scientific research done for this fetish. I don't have the articles right now but I can link them later if you want.
The short result of the study says that most people develop this right around puberty (either shortly before or after) or during their teens. Because the brain is still developing, this fetish tend to get deeply psychologically rooted. And if you still fap to it after the age of 18 then you are about +80% sure to have it for life.

Not the incon guy (I'm >>10857827 and so on) but I find it's easy enough to just wear something thin like Depends or Tena or even the "overnight"/"extended wear" attends and not get noticed.

I certainly feel the bulk, but no one has ever commented on it. If you have something really thick on, like a Bambino or ABU thing, yeah, but even then, I've worn a dry one around town and no one I ran into was even like "wow your butt is kinda big" or anything.

I once went on a sorta-date with one on that I wet throughout the night, and even waddling home, I don't think anyone really noticed or gave a shit out in public. People are pretty self-absorbed.

The thing you have to watch out for are leaks, either from just peeing too much or from a failed or improperly done up diaper.

Pharmacy's fine. People there don't care, and they sell the stuff for a reason. Unless you're in a super small town or your family knows some of the tellers or whatever there's no real reason they'd go telling people you bought diapers. They probably won't even remember you.

Then there's just long plane/bus/train rides in general.

Sure. I have one incomplete memory of bedwetting once. This must have been very soon after potty training. I mostly remember the dream I was having. Happened to me last year. I was very stressed for a which lead to me grinding teeth while i slept something fierce. The pain in my jaws and teeth caused even more sleep problems. Went to the doctor and got prescribed, guess what: a pacifier.
Since 2011 in Europe, these have been used a treatment for people who grind their teeth in the sleep (and for other treatments). I was very skeptical at first but it worked wonders. I ended up liking it as it also made me fall asleep like nothing else. Slept like a baby until the grinding stopped. I still use it a few times per month.

(Had) a coupon for some percent off of a bag/case from Bambino. I had ordered a sample years ago, but I can't remember much about it at all.

If I were to order a bag or something, what would you guys suggest getting? I remember a lot of talk on the new Magnificos or what ever they are, but perhaps something a bit more "classic" and plastic backed would be a better choice.
