we wuz furries an' sheit
i like egyptian mythology
>>10231549
Kinda hard to deny, I guess.
>>10231549
Ironically, the goddess was depicted with white skin and the head of being the only miscolored element.

We wuz Albinos

It's a common historical fact that before Islamic Expansion the MENA region used to be Indo-European aka White. The Arabs genocided the Whites and were the first non-Blacks to enslave Black people.
For example the Egyptians used to have orange hair.

So basically Ancient Egypt was like modern society the most now that I'm reading up on it. Dentists, toothpaste, women having equal rights... Wow, that's pretty fucking neat and totally fucking assholish those rat bastards broke such a good thing.
Why is it that Egypt the only country from the middle East I actually like. Same goes with me not calling Egyptians sand niggers or kikes- and no not niggers, cause people living in Africa are not even niggers.
Is it because I have always like ancient Egyptian things since i was 4 years old . That might be another reason how I became a furrfagg, first it was Toth,Anubis, Kek,Ra, then I grew on it. now here I am spending majority of my days off from work getting stoned or playing with anal toys on my days off.
>>10240319
What is even the point of this post?
>>10240355
Just saying that I respect Egypt,
>>10240319
Because Egypt was actually really baller and then muslims fucked it up because they decided cutting off heads was more important than being productive
>>10240355
what is the point of your existence
>Egyptian mythology gave me a theriocephaly fetish
>Egyptian gods usually drawn as furries
Ugh
>>10240319
Ancient Egypt is fascinating as fuck, from their success as innovative architects to their religion of (mostly) animal-headed deities. Not only is that civilization old as balls, it lasted a ridiculously long time when it was around.
And it has some really cool aesthetics, at least stereotypically.
I don't know any people who became furfags through egyptian mythology, though. It seems to me to have been mostly kids cartoons with anthro characters that made blooming boys and girls realize they could be attracted to animal-people.
However, liking egyptian mythology as a kid was definitely easy. It was all so damn exotic.
Stuff like Stargate and The Mummy drove home the appeal of egyptian imagery when I was a kid. Their exotic fashion/armors, them living in a (seemingly) barren desert region, their gods with the heads of various animals, huge stone structures, etc. There was plenty of stuff to be interested in.
Even if the Egypt of today is just another muslim country, its ancient history is easily worth remembering.
>>10238490
High-status people being pale is something I've noticed going across cultures. It probably comes from being able to live largely indoors.
I love ancient Egipt. It has such interesting culture and exotic character.
Also this.

To blog post and have a friendly concersation. What the fuck is even the point of any posts here if not for conversation with other people?
Didn't Anubis in mythology have a wife named Anput?
>>10240395
There wasn't really anything left of Egyptian culture for the Arabs to do anything to. By the time they rolled into Egypt, it had been a Roman province since 30 BCE, and before that it had been a Greek province. The Egyptian temples themselves essentially shut down between 300-400 CE because of the rise of Christianity and the outlawing of paganism in the Roman Empire for good in 435 CE. So Egyptian culture, whatever was left of it after centuries of Hellenistic and Roman rule, had been officially gone for 200 years by the time the Arabs conquered Egypt from the Byzantine empire.
Unfortunately this one's on the Romans.
>>10244679
Yeah, most gods in Egyptian mythology had some female consort or another. Since the "actual" name of Anubis is Anpu (Anubis is the Greek version of his name) and -t is a feminine suffix in Egyptian, Anput is Anubis's female consort.
Disappointingly, she was usually just a woman holding a flag with a jackal on it.
>>10244679
He did indeed.
>>10244734
I love the spelling
Who's your favorite god? (Answer with picture for bonus points. Male or female version, don't matter.) If it wasn't obvious what's my favorite one.
>>10244830
Ra, obvs, cause he makes like, the sun and stuff.
Did Egyptology cause anyone else's necrophilia?
>>10244830
Sekhmet. Seeing her portrait in AoM for the first time, back when I was a kid in early puberty, legitimately aroused me.
And I just have a solid hard-on for kickass, vicious women. And cat ladies are very nice too.
>>10240319
>Egypt...
>Middle East...
Two different regions.
>>10244929
No...?
But on that subject, I've heard that necrophilia wasn't uncommon among egyptians. The bodies of beautiful and high-ranking women would sometimes get fucked by horny priests.
No idea if this is actually true, though.
>>10244999
Trips with the picture/answer and everything nice
>>10245052
Egypt is part of the Middle East.
The country is trans-continental, so it still gets lumped in with the rest of the middle-eastern countries.
>>10245090
>Trips
I'm gonna take that as a sign of Sekhmet's blessing and approval.
Buff Jackal is best
You'd think there would be more shit out there of Set and Horus fucking
>>10245281
Now now, they never actually fucked.
... I think.
Horus just tricked Set into eating some leaves or vegetables that had his cum. Porn where Horus is getting a blowjob from Set would make more sense.

>>10244733
Anput is sometimes, but a very big sometimes, depicted as a woman with an anubian jackal head. So don't worry anon.
apologies on the fucked up anatomy
MOre of this goddess she's sexy as fuck, they say she's a fertility god so I want to knock her up
>>10246165
Taweret? Goddess of fertility, childbirth, protection, and other things. And usually depicted as pregnant.
She's definitely someone you could knock up.
>>10245357
I would imagine that they wouldn't see people like that. It would be just a very devout person, priestess, priest, acolyte or something like that to a god or entity.
Real talk, are we gonna buy Ass Creed Origins just for Anubis?
>>10248136
As much as I love Anubis(a fucking lot). I still wouldn't buy the game. I think as a god that judges the dead he would be disappointed with me if I chose to endure a shitty game just to see him a couple times in the game.
>>10245357
"Normal person."
The egyptian goddess for sexuality and eroticism (among other things) is Bastet. The cat goddess.
So Egypt would've had a loooot of furfags.
>>10245726
>Fucking Romans.
that's how things went wrong in the first place
>>10250761
Kek
>>10248443
>The egyptian goddess for sexuality and eroticism (among other things) is Bastet. The cat goddess.
horseshit.
she's the goddess of household and protection, they didn't actually have a godly perception of sex and eroticism, that's some new age shit some hippie made up in the 70's
all things considered the Egyptians were very conservative and family-oriented, virtually all the artifacts you're going to see at a musseum are household objects. Considering a vast majority of their society were farmers working their asses off half of the year then minding their own business later, it makes sense.
>>10251449
She was the goddess of protection, love, fertility, perfume, music, dance, perfume, etc. She was basically a goddess of pleasant things, along with protection since cats were very important to deal with disease-spreading, crop-killing vermin.
The egyptians weren't exactly super chaste, at least not when you look at their deities. Horus tricking Set into eating his jizz, the gods getting Sekhmet drunk and making her fuck the first guy she sees, Isis cheating on Osiris and Osiris cheating on her, etc.
Of course they were family-oriented, just about any society usually is in those ancient, difficult times. But that doesn't mean they were christian-level uptight about sex.
>>10246463
>>10246743
WTF? I love Egypt now
>>10244830
I think Anubis would want her to be naked.
>>10251449
>>10251668
Classifying Egyptian gods into strict categories is hard because Egyptian gods changed quite a bit over the course of Egyptian history and because they themselves were wishy-washy about drawing strict lines between gods. (There wasn't even one official creation myth; different groups of gods had their own myths about creating the world.)
But, if you're looking for something that's more specifically a goddess of sexuality, you may be looking for Hathor. Sekhmet was also a goddess of fertility, and sometimes Sekhmet and Hathor are the same god, because Egyptian religion is confusing like that. I don't recall seeing Bast called a goddess of sex or fertility before, but it's possible, especially since later on she ends up being mushed together with Sekhmet and a bunch of other female goddesses.
Fertility is also a big thing ascribed to a lot of male gods, like Osiris and Sobek, along with some of the creator gods like Khnum and Atum.
>>10240029
Wait, are you surprised that the extremely advanced and civilized society was all honkies?

>>10239937

>>10240029
women didn't have equal rights, only men were allowed to become priests.
Herodotus just talked a lot about women's rights in Egypt since he had his mind blown that women had any rights at all. Ancient Greece was basically saudi arabia tier when it came to women, Greek women weren't even allowed to leave the house without a man.
>>10244691
>The Egyptian temples themselves essentially shut down between 300-400 CE because of the rise of Christianity and the outlawing of paganism in the Roman Empire for good in 435 CE
all the schools that taught how to read and write in hieroglyphics were based out of the temples as coptic had long since replaced it as the common language. When the temples were shuttered the knowledge of how to read hieroglyphics (which were, and still are, ubiquitous on monuments and buildings) was lost within a single generation.
Depsite efforts by some medieval muslim scholars, and later european egyptologists it wouldn't be deciphered again for nearly 1500 years.
>>10231549
cebron know that.
>>10245063
Herodotus claimed that noble houses would wait several days after a death to hand over the bodies of deceased women to the mummifiers so they wouldn't be tempted to fuck the corpse, as an embalmer had recently been caught doing that and it caused a big scandal.

>>10256571
Far as I can tell, no.
It reads like it was written by a vorefag, so that's a warning there.
Plus, I don't think the Egyptian gods had "hell", exactly. Or at least not seven of them.
Let's not forget that jizz-covered lettuce played an important part in one Egyptian myth.

That's not really what defines a joke. A joke is just something that's meant to amuse. It CAN have setup and payoff.

>>10283894
There's also League of Legends but don't do that.

There's a good selection, but that game doesn't have ALL the gods.
Sekhmet isn't available, which is pretty disappointing since she's famous for a tale where she goes to punish humanity and then nearly kills literally EVERYBODY in her bloodlust.
Not porn but still obligatory.

Fun fact - the Roman Emperor Hadrian had a gay lover named Antinous. He's often depicted in artwork with the Emperor, and there are even several statues of him in various 'costumes' - as Osiris, as Bacchus, etc. He travelled with Hadrian a lot, and unfortunately drowned in the Nile. Hadrian never really got over it and tried to deify his boy-toy after his death by forming a cult around him.
