Thanks, I should just be able to pop the veins off and save them mostly intact if I change my mind, but yeah, taking the smooth robutt into account maybe just getting rid of them entirely is the best option for now. Maybe what I could do is follow the panel line on the stomach down the shaft, though that might look a bit too much like racing stripes and end up a bit silly.

I need to work on the urethra opening too, and I might need to make the testicles hang a bit lower. And the enhanced ass comes out a bit too far horizontally, so that needs a bit more shaping.

I'd say simpler is better. The middle one is definitely the best for a realistic size. Mostly smooth with some panel lines would be perfect. The veins and wrinkles are difficult to sculpt correctly at this scale without doing the modeling on a computer, and would look out of place on a robot anyways.

I think the main problem is you are pretty much doing a tube with a ball/cone stuck to the end. The head of the penis sort of sits on top of the shaft as if it were on a spoon. The middle one you did looks close to what I mean. Tried to draw it here:

For veins, remember they are buried and covered by flesh, not floating on top of it. They should merge down with the penis.

That's a big help actually, yeah. Most of my experience is with objects, not organic bits so I think I'll have to give them another shot. The middle one and the limp phimosis one are the only two I'm anywhere happy with and even those are still a ways off. Part of my problem, same with drawing, is that I always have trouble deciding which details to leave out. Especially here when if I do sell them, they'd probably be unpainted so I'd almost feel bad selling such little actual sculpting. I guess I could just try selling them pre-painted if it comes down to it.

Assuming that was meant for me, I've been meaning to try an etsy or storenvy shop for a while now. I'm trying to recast these shackles now as the first things for sale, but the two perpendicular circles make it hard to get a good, consistent mold that doesn't tear after two or three casts. Penises are much easier to recast, but harder to mold in the first place, but I'll post here and in the Shinki thread if I ever get a store set up.

Oh, and just for the record, the shackles don't fit Polynians yet, but once I recast them, a polynian sized version should be easy to make.

Emil's look is just way too fucking niche. He's a copy of the gentle shota archetype found in fujobait shows/manga, which does not appeal to everyone. The outfit's design also pushes the shota aspect, further alienating the portion of people who who liked shamrock for the trap appeal. Finally, it tops it all up with a dull, poop brown color scheme in a line of characters with bright colored hair.

I'm sure a Shamrock with a different hair style would've done leagues better, but I appreciate Daibadi for trying to deliver some variety.

all these figs are the general size of the line. If you own a fag/nendo/female fig they're all roughly same size.

You know absolutely nothing about production costs, that's rarely how it works. if anything them being a not so popular brand raises the price of them. Less figs produced by the factory = less of a "discount" on bulk lots. it works out in ways like 300 figs = $20 per fig to make, 500 figs = $17 per fig to make and so on and so forth.

for being a smaller brand they also have amazing QC, way better than the MOMO brand which was in the same popularity group but much more expensive. (which ultimately ruined a bit of their popularity as many didnt buy due to the price point)


I'd also love to know what plastic they use, because Im 80% certain they use a better grade than figma and many others. These figs feel great in hand and not at all flimsy. The only parts I've heard breaking are the pegs.

Even if you break a peg, replacement kits are cheap and compatible with most other Polys since they all use the same colored ball joints. and just buying one packet will leave you with lots to spare should another accident occur.

They might not be for you, but the price is what I expect and most figmas before and even aftermarket cost around that much anyway.

She's mostly pretty solid, but there's some uneven paint apps in a few places. Nothing deal breaking, her left arm's elbow ball joint was also partially open, as if it wasn't closed fully, that's an easy fix too.

I'm not too experienced with polys, but it seems like this batch is okay so far. Also, I don't know why I expected individual articulated fingers on the power glove. It's just 2 closed hands and 2 open hands.

Not always. EMS is based on package weight and DHL based on dimensions, so sometimes, especially with books, DHL will be cheaper. Some of my manga orders from Mandy cost in the 7k range for EMS, but only 2700 for DHL for instance. On the east coast of America, a half hour outside Boston, it takes about 6-7 days for EMS and 3-4 for DHL

RSAL is legit. Sometimes slow but I've never had an issue.

EMS is like a 3 day turn over for me (western canada) but also expensive. Though it should be noted if you're using amiami and have a big enough shipment EMS can be comparable. My last order was HUEG and EMS was only $5 more than regular shipping.
Also got my Vania today. No pics yet unless yu want awful phone pics. She's pretty nice. Some joints are a bit loose particularly her wings piece and her abdominal piece seems to come loose a lot.
One issue I had was a paint scruff on her transparent wing piece but I managed to scrape it off with a sharp knife. She also seems to have a bit of a mold line on her inner thighs but it's not enough to bitch about.
She has so many accessory pieces that fitting them -all- on without clutter isn't super easy but it's doable.
She feels really nice too, the vinyl isn't super soft like figma and has a little more rigidity to it which I really like.
She's also feels like she has a lot more "girth" compared to figmas which is a bonus. I like her size as well, makes me feel better about the price point.
The brown dockers fit with the school uniform aesthetic I feel, but they do look a bit off.

All in all a solid figure. I'm pretty impressed.

Reading up, I'm seeing that florescent lights can produce UV rays that cause yellowing, so switch up to LED bulbs if you're using those.

Also maybe look up some tuts relating to fixing yellowing issues on old consoles/handhelds and use them on the poly parts.
