Like, if I have a treasure map with a plot charted out, and I'm missing a corner of it, then I know that it's somewhere within the boundaries of the area where the map ended around it.

Even if that area was a large area, if I had the resources of, say, a galactic army that has the funds to build a giant death weapon, I could probably afford to send some troops around to scour this finite area of planets (only the ones that can support Luke's alien species) and eventually find him.

I still love Star Wars, always have and always will. But the new canon is overwhelmingly hot garbage (Rebels, all the current books and comics, etc) and the new trilogy is so full of unoriginal, shitty designs and ideas that it is hard to get excited about. That said, I am hype for The Last Jedi, loved TFA and Rogue One, and am looking forward to Battlefront 2 and EA's other Star Wars games because I played the fuck out of the last one. I doubt any of it will come close to being as good as the first six films, TCW, all the EU books, comics, and old games, but still enjoyable.

Yes. I only really got into Star Wars when promo for The Force Awakens started. Before that, I had seen Revenge of the Sith in theaters and I didn't really remember anything besides the duel on Mustafar.

I've come to realize that nothing will ever be as good as the OT, and I even think that TFA and Rogue one were worse than the Prequel trilogy. I know I really can't have nostalgia for them because I only watched ROTS once in theaters when I was young and that was all the memory I have of Star Wars growing up. I know the sequel trilogy will most likely not ever be better than the original 6 movies, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't extremely excited for the Last Jedi despite all of the questionable design decisions. I love Luke and Rey as characters so at the very least I have the interaction between those two to look forward to.

My favorite character in all of Star Wars is Prequel Anakin, so I may just have shit taste. Oh well, I enjoy it.

I will say, that even though Rebels is clearly written as a show for children to sell toys, it does have it's moments. The Darth Maul story arc alone is enough to warrant watching the series even if you don't like anything else about it. And I enjoy the portrayal of Thrawn.
