In addition to all of those, I love the Full Action Figure SAGA capsule toy series. I hope it continues on for a while. Funny how it scales with Revol Mini which I also liked (RIP). But so were SIC Kiwami Damashii in that size. There is a secret subgroup of 1/16 scale lovers in Japan apparently.

Kaiyodo's Dokuroman skeleton capsule toys are also fun tiny figures to have. Also 1/16-ish.

The dbz figures are from the bandai shokugan shodo line. The megamans are from Bandai Shokugan 66 Action Dash Mega Man Action Figure Set.. the dbz ones are far superior and the best mini figures I've ever seen. The quality is top notch as far as durability, they're not fragile some joints might pop out if youre posing them in weird positions but mine so far have been great. Im only missing wave 1 and 3. Theyre pretty sweet and i think the sculpts are far superior to every other dbz figure including figurarts.

These arent SHF they're 3.75 inch figures, Bandai shodo line. You can find most of them for under $20 bucks each. So you can scuff em up to your hearts content and not be worried.

Infinity Gauntlet is like the dragon balls themselves, throws away any meaningful fights out the window.

I always thinks it's funny when someone thinks people from the Dragon Ball world are somehow evenly matched to their beloved comic book super heroes from Marvel or DC.

Unless it's like reality altering shit, nobody is a match to DB characters. Even someone like Muten Roshi can blow up the Moon with no trace. Most can move faster than the eye can see and that is at the basic level. Some Japanese anime operates at an insane level of power inflation (DB is probably at the top on an average level) which makes most comic characters looks incredibly grounded.

Revol Minis are slightly larger because they are 1/16 scale where as GI Joes are 1/18. And MGS1 Minis are expensive now I don't think they are worth it really. Might wanna check someone else first.

There are many high and low end feats for all of them. Supes "benching" the weight of the planet for 6 days or something nonsensical like that. Then you have Goku struggling with 10 tons on each limb until he goes SSJ. Base Frieza blowing up a planet effortlessly. Buuhan doesn't with a strong attack. Etc. And a lot of comic characters operate at a much higher level than DB characters (at least pre super, but it's hard to gauge them). Anyways, someone like Silver Surfer should be able to beat most iterations of Goku. Thanos would easily beat Goku. A lot of cosmic level comic just operate at a ridiculous level, even something like blowing up multiple planets or even galaxies is fairly inconsequential.

Problem with DB is there is no trace of logic in them due to the nature of the author, so the whole thing is kind of broken if you start pointing out instances when someone can do this but not that...

I think the takeaway is, if you can move at super speeds, can survive energies capable of destroying planets or galaxies, punch holes in dimensions, etc, and are capable of generating similar energies, then yeah. But I feel like comics that's rare because it breaks the story (unless you are dealing with god level guys). I'm sure there are moments like that for quite a number of them but most of the time it feels like they stay relatively grounded. Same way DB guys feels like they can't do all that shit, especially so because some are at the level when they go all out fighting the excess energy can destroy the universe...the whole system is broken. I just think DB is way more broken in general so it's out of reach for others who are trying to maintain some level of order in their story telling.

I think whos stronger and who wins depends on the writer. Goku can go ss god but get taken out with a laser gun.. haha it realky depends on whos writing it but it would be a fun match up thanos power set would be good vs kakarot.

The only way you can get individual figures directly is from mandrake, but they very likely won't have what you need. The other alternative is to buy from Amazon/Yahoo/Rakuten JP sellers through a proxy service, the same ones you use for P-Bandai stuff. Buying them through proxies could be expensive too due to all the fees (Domestic Delivery, insurance, commission, consolidation, non-exploding packaging etc fees). It may be cheaper to preorder full cases even with all the repeat figures.

It'll happen here or there. I have every Shodo Kamen Rider figure so far and I'd say they're usually quite good but small blemishes and misapplied paint and what not does happen. Ideally I'd like to keep the boxes of my extras sealed in case I ever want to sell them, but I will open them to pull out better parts if need be. Had some with 2 lefts legs, parts that don't fit right, etc, so I don't mind opening the extras if need be.

Ordered a case myself thanks to this thread. $60 for ten figures is a good enough deal I don't mind the repeats. If they're even close to being as cool as they look I'm excited for them. They're a steal compared to the prices Marvel Universe and so on used to go for, despite being (seemingly) comparable in quality.

He's been in storage and somehow there's a bunch of sticky gunk on his turban. His shoulder pads also seem to be slightly yellowed. I coulda probably cleaned him up a bit but this was a quickie shoot for this thread. Certainly he's not on par with Shodo in terms of articulation, but he was super cheap, durable, had magnetic feet and effects parts.

Yeah, I notice the DBZ one's soft plastic results in a lot of ball joints that don't like staying in, while the Ultramen/kaiju have harder plastic so this isn't really and issue.
Yeah, I know how to tighten joints, but the tightness isn't the issue, it's making sure they don't pop off randomly when posing.

I got Goku, Nappa, and Vegeta today. Great figures, I have very few complaints.

The characters they've done so far show some weird priority, though. Super Saiyan Bardock and Blue Vegetto before basic shit like Piccolo or normal SS Vegeta? I get wanting to mix Super stuff with classic stuff, but it is weird.

Yeah, also less well proportioned, detailed and articulated. It's a shame really, with just a few tweaks, Sodo could be just as good as Shodo and that would expand the character selection tremendously.

I really love this line except for the body that they've used for Vegeta. The hips' movement is a little limited and the knee join seems to be placed too far up the leg and makes his poses look bizarre and a little difficult to balance. The other figures I have are all great, though.

I agree, i just noticed that when posing him earlier. The shins on bardock and vegeta are curved too much for some reason. It looks weird in some positions. But vegets head scupt is one of my favorites.. think im going to repaint one vegetas blue hair black so i can have a vegeta without the scouter.

No particular reason. There's a bunch of Shodo with a peg that's there for no apparent reason. You can probably safely clip them off, but I keep mine on because of my autism.

Sadly no. I just checked. DB heads are too small. You could stick them on from the base of the neck, but not the base of the head.
