Keep your hopes to a minimum because Union Creative intentions for making more action figures doesn't look good at the moment. Zero new reveals since WF Summer 2016 and they stopped displaying some altogether.

You can't look at that face and say the figure is "fine". It's fine if you don't like the series, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But it sucks for figma to drop the ball so hard with such a popular IP.

I like it enough, I keep up with the manga when a new volume drops. Never seen the anime.

I though it was the cape (which looks and works fine in hand, big plus being removable) or lack of stuff, or general pricing. Sure face isn't perfect but faces never are really. It's in the norm, I don't see what made this so special.

I jot it down to a much bigger (and younger) fan base increasing the amount of nitpicking. Being new to expensive imports wanting everything to be perfect for their best anime ever. Which is fine, I just didn't see this particular figma that different from their other releases, nor did it have some actual issues like wobbly joints or the questionable looks for the live action based figmas.

I think the biggest thing I can say about it is that it's fucking BORING. For one of the funniest and most dynamic action manga in recent memory, they sure went vanilla on the approach. If I were in charge here, I would have gone with an optional DX release, with effect parts and lightning for punches, blood splatter pieces, an "ok" soundplate, a deadpan flat-mouthed faceplate, a cactus and watering can, etc. This is more of a pipe-dream, but a swappable oppai hoodie body would have been great too. I know Figmas don't really go for the spare body thing, but I can't see a street clothes Saitama selling well as a single release either so...let me dream.

I think you just have low standards. There is no reason for people to eat up low quality, low effort releases like Saitama with a smile their face. It's not young people nit picking, it's people expecting good quality when they buy (relatively) expensive niche products. Especially from a big company like GSC.

The articulation on Zeiram is pretty good (got these pics from eBay). His shoulders have great range of motion but are hindered by the coat/cape. Leg articulation is great but hindered by the rubber pants. Mirai Ninja has minimal articulaton.

Speaking of shared universe, I've got this artbook/manga called Red Mausoleum by Amemiya Keita with a main character named Ajari and other similar creatures that could easily pass for a civilization that created Zeiram. What little dialogue is present in the manga is either pure nonsense English or clipped out dialogue from American comics.
