I hope they're cooler with Bandai, Goodsmile Factory, Max Factory than Tomy was, and neither company has to jump through hoops to get their stuff imported here if at all. I think you misread my sentence and missed the point of that little paragraph, my anon.

As the master license holder, Tomy was the company every other company had to check with to see if it was okay form to release stuff here. Tomy is a bitter rival of Bandai, so they wouldn't accept shit. Max Factory and Goodsmile had to work with making their figma and Nendoroids Pokemon Center exclusives here, so I'm assuming Tomy gave them or would have given them a hard time as well.

So when I said I meant that I hope Wicked Toys is " cooler" with other companies than Tomy, I meant that I hope Wicked Toys wouldn't keep waving their Master License around like a cunt. That's also why I brought up DC Comics. DC and everybody who owns some kind of toy license of theirs don't seem to give many fucks about Bandai making and releasing Figuarts here. On the other hand, Tomy was essentially an absolute wall.

I have the same concerns with you about Wicked Toys, which is I am saying that may the silver lining be that we can get Pokemon SHFs, figma, and Nendoroidd in the West without having to jump retarded hoops. Bandai in particular was really banking on that, I think their weird management of the license may be the result of floundering about, not knowing what to without that accessibility to the West. That's a world with Wicked Toys as the Master License holder that I can live with. Provided Bandai and Max Facotry up the ante and actually increase production as a result of more open trade.

Does anyone have the Jakks Weavile? I'm on the fence about getting it or the Pokken minifig pack.

That's how it's supposed to look, Stufful has all the proportions of a your average cheap stuffed animal. But it's supposed to have a tag. The Japanese plush had the problem of having both an onmodel tushtag and it's real, practical tushtag. The US website's stock image of the same plush doesn't show either, but I'm pretty sure none of their stock images show tushtags (but the plush still have them).

Maybe the American branch decided to cut costs and nix the second tag.

Whereas other popular franchises like Strike Witches, Kancolle girls etc get tonnes of their "whatever" characters made. It's only been a few months and already Overwatch has 3 characters up for release. Disney's had 4. Whereas we've had only 7-8 different Poké nendos over the last 3 years.

Realistically they could at least do the Kanto gym leaders for nostalgia, plus Nurse Joy or Prof. Oak with starters. I'd even be happy with a few fan favourites from the gyms like Brock, Misty and Sabrina.

I'd also like to advocate for Mega Lucario. His wavemate Mega Blaziken looked like quite the mess but he's really an excellent figure. Good articulation and a really nice sculpt, and even an accessory in the form of an albeit pretty dinky looking Aura Sphere. Mewtwo is up there too but I think gets less attention because of the D-Arts, but it's still a good figure. Honestly, I think I'd put Machamp under all those 3, even though he too is pretty fun, just not as much fun as I thought he'd be.

Any way to tell if they're genuine or bootlegs? They're all marked with a year and Nintendo or "Pokemon" but no manufacturer. Figuarts are better than Figma in a lot of cases, anime styled figures generally aren't where they shine, but the Ash and TR are good. If we get an SHF Misty, it's going to be the anime one though, where as Figma seem to be sticking to the game stuff.
