Toku newfag here, just getting started with Kamen Rider W and enjoying it so far. I know I'm going to want to buy a lot of figures eventually, and I'm glad that the SH Figuarts Riders are so cheap. Just one question, though- How's the quality? The only Figuarts figure I own at the moment is Lucario.

I'm specifically interested in knowing how good the joints feel- I'll definitely be playing around with these figures a lot, is there any significant risk of joints breaking?

Id stray away from the Heat/metal ones cause I heard they have some pieces that break, but as for others the quality is pretty good I'd say. You'll notice theres a cheaper version of W and a more expensive one, but both are very good. The cheaper ones only cons are that you can't remove the gaia memories, and theres some noticeable sculpt differences than the more expensive one, but with the expensive one you can remove gaia memories and such and the over all figure is more high quality. But again, even the cheaper one is still really nice so its your call really.

CSMs are worth it only if it's a device from one of your favorite shows or stands out to you as iconic/special. I bought the full Faiz Gear because I love the aesthetic and Takumi Inui/Kento Handa. I'd probably try to get other stuff from Faiz, but Faiz's Gear itself is one I wanted the most.

I don't think CSM is meant to be collected en masse unless you're moderately wealthy and have a lot of space to your name, though. Or if that's all you collect, which given the the spotty release schedule, makes me think that's a very rare case. I don't think CSM has such a devoted fanbase comapred to other Bandai toy lines. For most people, you get one or two you really like or plan to get one or two you really like if they get made and have them the centerpiece of your display. For example, I'd probably take Faiz and the original Typhoon if they'll to make it make after the original Complete Selection they made ages ago.

I have both. SHFSS W is absolutely fantastic, I don't know what price he goes for now, but I bought him on release from Amiami, and he was worth every penny.
SIC Drive is two figures in one, essentially. The base is absolutely beautiful and the paint job is even better. When you take into account the Max Flare set too, it's even better. Though, because of this, some poses can pop the pipes on the leg off a bit.

Both are worth it, but from a purely value for money mindset, I'd say go for SIC Drive.

UPS just dropped him off. Thanks for the recommendations, mate. Really loving this guy. His articulation isn't perfect, but goddamn he feels so prime. The plastic quality is top and the joints are tight and feel solid. Seriously recommended.

Issues:
The legs don't have any swivels and his left pauldron can come off if you move it around like a crazy person. (Also missing a few paint apps, but it's fine for the price level.)

I can sort of understand how he feels. The new packaging style Bandai has been using mostly for Kamen Rider has been pretty convenient for me. Then I got the Ex-Aid 3-pack. I'm so used to stacking seasons vertically, one by one. It's minor pet peeve, but it's kind of annoying trying to tetris something like that in there. Makes me wish I got the single releases that came out the month after. Thank goodness I've invested in alternative, more accessible storage for accessories.

i definitely warmed up to LVUR muteki despite the macaroni cheese gold, but MMX is actually a bit disappointing in that the docking mechanism leaves the rider at a weird angle, and the lack of waist swivel and leg articulation hurts too. i'd wait for the SHF

Has anyone has an issue with SHF Alien Metron? The left leg on it will not stay in to save it's life - just turning the thigh swivel makes it come unpegged. Forget trying to do the crossed-leg sitting pose.

It's more than likely just a very thin piece of copper that got cut off in there by accident. It happened to me with my Jet Combat gashat and made the sounds scratchy as hell. They're easy as hell to take apart with no problems though, so don't worry about it.
