MAFEX General #1: A Clock Work Orange Edition

This isn't a line I collect from very much, but DAMN, that Clockwork Orange guy is too good to pass up.

I hope they keep going with other western properties, I'm liking what I see.

Has the quality of the line gone up at all? I like some of the stuff I've seen but I've heard some horror stories about this stuff in the past.

My first Mafex was the ASM2 Spidey which I was hyped for but he turned out to be a loose mess.
My most recent Mafex' are Boba Fett and Knightmare Batman.
Boba is one of my favourite figures; period. Just beautiful, no QC issues to speak of and excellent paint and sculpt. When I first got it I would just look at it for ages. Articulation is somewhat lacking but I put that down to the design of the character.
Batman is good but I don't love it by any means. It just didn't draw me in like Boba did. No QC issues either and he has more accessories but he doesn't have the wow factor.
I'm definitely willing to buy more Mafex, they still seem to be finding themselves they've proven they can knock it out of the park.
TL;DR They're hit and miss but when they hit they HIT. Take a chance, you might be surprised.

How well does Rey scale with the figuarts?

They look close enough, thanks. I can just compare farm Luke to Jedi Luke and figure things out from here.

I'm also kinda impressed with her face, looks MILES better than some of their past faces *WONDER WOMAN COUGH COUGH*.

Rip off plastic cape

Dab superglue onto spot

Hold cloth cape in place for 15 seconds

You just need to get the original cape off cleanly.
I had heated it up with a hairdryer until it was super floppy, then cut away the connection point with some model snippers.

I attached the cloth cape with superglue. Haven't had any issues with it falling off, and it tucks nicely between his arm and jetpack.

I hope for more non-DC non-Star Wars movie ones
