Not really, it depends on the popularity of the franchise/amount of merchandise it gets.

Guyver is very niche and gets next to nothing. Is figma Guyver I too small ? Yes. Is it perfect? No.

But it's damn decent (as the aftermarket price shows) and the best you're going to get nowadays. Female Guyver turned even better as long as you didn't get one with QC issues on its limbs and Guyver III I'd say it's a 4/5, docking a whole point because the eyes could be better.

I think they made a figma of Kasumi for Max Factory's 30th anniversary because if I remember right, their first scaled figured that sold 44,000+ units during 2005 was Kasumi and this figma is based off the scaled figure. Can't post pics of said scaled figure since it's statueshit.

Fucking WHY. I'm glad I missed the pre-order now. I intended to order it but forgot and was all pissed at myself but god damn I dodged a bullet. Even WITH the problems the first one had it was still decent to look at. This gets his ONE super distinguishing feature (his red eyes) in an otherwise sea of dark brown/black and fucks it up.

There is no doubt in my mind Altera will be getting a Figma eventually.

Way I see it: Scathach is repping FGO, Aniki's repping Stay Night, Jeanne's the first of Apocrypha Figma (which hopefully means Mordred soon), and finally Nero repping Extella/EXTRA. A non-limited Nero figma production was a natural choice considering the upcoming EXTRA anime, but Altera would be a natural follow-up.

At least you don't wish for a figma so unlikely it might as well be impossible, like say, Figma Ushiwakamaru.

Ushiwakamaru is mai waifu but she's got a snowball's chance in hell of getting a Figma.

On one hand, she's the only other female class rep in the FGO opening animation aside from Altera and Scathach.

On the other hand, she's not massively popular and is a 3 star, and I'd imagine many other FGO originals would take precedent. I can imagine Okita being made over her, for example. And in the Rider side, isn't Marie Antoinette even more popular?

For what it is, it's a pretty hefty price tag.
There are pretty well-detailed and well-sculpted 6-7" figures (like Neca or Mezco) for literally $12-$25 which is like a third or a fourth the price of regular figma now. Of course the plastic quality isn't as good but it does put into perspective how much more you're paying for 6 inch plastic figures.

I grew fond of Altera from Extella. Waifu Pokemon is constant pay-to-play cancer. The game mechanics themselves are shit too. No better than Extra if not worse. Extra that did the rock, paper, scissors and MAGIC before got shit on for that. The clusterfuck of characters also means less exposition for each save for a few recurring ones that don't include Scat. Scat's no Mash potato that you're always stuck with.

Honestly I think it's just a case of "hey look - tits and she looks like Aoko!" There sure as heck isn't a ton of writing behind her compared to the Extra/Extella gals and FSN regulars.

The sculpt is nice, but her articulation is pretty crap. There's very little I can get her to do, and any two-handed sword option will end up looking more awkward than it's worth.

Also not sure why they made her standard face looking off to the side. It really limits poseability since everything has to be posed with a side-glare or screaming straight-ahead.

I couldn't recommend her without it being a good price or you if you really are desperate for a Casca figure. Not impossible to work with, but definitely limiting.

It was a nice suprise to see the nurses drop in price at one point for near dirt cheap prices. The heads are solid and I can't get enough of the design of Pyramid Head himself. Really wish they can go after more characters though or some of the other monster designs.
