As much as I'd love to have figures for both of them, I think odds for Lucy especially are slim. Medicos seems to have an aversion to major female characters so far. I just won a got a Crazy Diamond 2nd on YAJ and have a question about him for anyone that has him and newer versions of the Josuke SAS. I know that the alternate Josuke head included with CD 2nd doesn't fit on newer Josuke releases. Anybody try widening the peg-hole to fit newer Josukes? If so, was it difficult and how'd you go about it?

Just want to thank the guys who gave me advice a couple of threads back when my Star Platinum 3rd's torso peg came loose and needed tightening.
I ended up coating the peg in clear nail polish to make a snugger fit and it holds absolutely fine now.

I order from there every few months usually. I use Buyee as the proxy, and the process is pretty smooth with them.

There are other proxy services you can use, but I don't know of any that don't require you to deposit money first. With Buyee you pay at the point of sale, shipping, etc.

I hear in bulk it just becomes too expensive but if you're handling a few figures then it's handy due to how fast the experience is. I usually avoid the "packaging" fee that pops up once you've put an order down in the same page since the seller does a decent enough job packing the item by itself but that's my experience. There's also a warehouse option and package consolidation if you want to combine several orders into a single box.

If I want to buy in larger numbers then I have to research other proxies just to be effective on those fees (domestic shipping and so on).

It's not very complicated. Buyee can get more expensive 1) since it's an auction site 2) since they take some fees for being a proxy for yahoo auctions japan.

Just bid, don't go over 120$ for Gyro, try to find an option to buy-out if possible (pay the price up front instead of bidding), and if you win an auction wait until the product gets to Buyee and you'll get an invoice for shipping fees.

Had a play around with Gyro tonight, and I'm not a happy camper. He's a pretty shitty figure by SAS standards.

First off the materials made to make him are pretty second rate. Most of him is cast in this paint-less gummy plastic which feels really soft and cheap in hand.

Mine suffered a bit of warping around his left shoulder strap, which really accentuates his oddly designed shoulder joints, which protrude out more than they should. I'll see if I can take a hair dryer to it to get it back in shape.

His head is on a peg joint as opposed to the normal ball joints, which is a bit weird, but at least you don't have to worry about snapping anything.

The hat sits on the head with a ball joint which gives it some minor articulation, but at the same time feels like it doesn't sit on his head as best as it could.

One nice thing at Wonfes is that later in the day they had a "pick up and try" sample of the new Star Platinum BIG.

He has a fair amount of heft in hand. Other than that he basically feels like an upscaled SAS. Most of the joints and movement is identical to it's smaller counterpart. Which is a good thing I guess, the original SP was a pretty solid figure.
