Remember me?
Actually this was the Proto Funko

In some ways I prefer them for a lot of characters, but I only ever picked up pic related.
I did get about half that Iron Man Micro Muggs wave, though. I like them, they're nice little desk decorations. Got them when they clearanced out to like 50-75 cents apiece.

mighty muggs were higher quality and felt less cheap. they're still both artsy statue shit, tho.
Yes. Much better paint apps, higher quality, but it died for the lack of sculpting. May that be a lesson.

It's ironic, Mighty Muggs were much less generic and soulless despite mostly having the same mold unlike Pops.

I got into mighty muggs like right when they started
discontinuing them
Still got my holy grail mugg though. Funny how i liked muggs but i hate funko shit.
Loved Mighty Muggs. That and DCUC wave 1 turned me into a collector again right as the end of high school. My favorites are Galactus, Boba Fett, Spidey, Punisher, and Thanos. I used to have SO MANY but my parents' house got hit by a flood after I moved away for college and I lost most. Feels bad.

It's the difference in design choice. Same bodies with unique aesthetics go a long way towards making a figure likable. Pops have a nasty soulless indistinct face they all need to maintain cohesion. Those blank, empty eyes on a tiny and clashing body just come across like a lazy costume, where the Muggs have a uniform body with great stylish paintwork that redefines every figure.
Point is Muggs give a generic template an iconic design, Pops give an iconic design a generic template.

I Really Like Mez-its, I have 2 Different Hellboy's and Green Lantern and Sinestro.
Licensing was an issue with all these early retail urban vinyl designs. Hasbro cheaped out by just using whatever licenses they had in their catalogue, which was a good selection, but not enough. Other brands were too pricy, still in the perception that they were actual urban vinyls.

Yup. Got a Grievous and a G1 Prime and Megs. Neat little things, though I can see why not everyone would like them.
I wish these were worth more. I have a lot of them that are just taking up space.
Mighty Muggs.
Even worse and lazier than Funko Pops.
ITT: people try to convince themselves these were better than Pops
My grandma got me a Wolverine Mighty Mugg, along with pic related from Indiana Jones. Never got another one, not out of lack of interest, but because I was a kid who didn't specifically collect anything.
Bless that woman.

I would buy the fuck out of these for cheap af when they were discontinuing them. could find some for 10 cents or i would use that ancient hasbro coupon and get em.
I collect Funkos but these do honestly have really good designs. I love the Iron Man in OP's pic.

Seems like a king of the retards kind of situation.
