I wish Mega did some Destiny troop packs like they do for Halo. I mean, what they've got now is cool and all but they're getting into the same realm as they have with Halo - in that you have TONS of fucking hero figs and hardly anyone to fight. I myself have almost 300 spartans but like 50-75 bad guys in comparison.

Paint was mixed 2:1 paint:thinner. Base coat turned out ok imo. Smaller details got a bit rough (especially on the helmet) due to lack of quality brushes. I do think it would have benifited from some metalic paint and a wash though.

These things are great. Ive never gotten any megabloks but as a kid and now an adult ive owned many many lego sets. Big halo fan so picked up 4 of the blind bags (looked at codes but my info was wrong so i got different stuff than i wouldve picked.) Im blown away by the articulation and interchangeability of this system. Ill probably pick up a couple more but damn, how am i supposed to stop? Thisbfeels like a slippery slope

I do like the weathered look it gives, unfortunately that specific figure gave me some problems. I ended up getting three, the first two broke in the exact same manner (neck peg) from merely attempting to pop the head on. The third one was fine and I didn't have any problems with other figures of that series, guess it was just a bad batch.

I have the gray and red ones. The grey has more realistic colors and the figures are great. The red one looks good and the figures are very army buildable, as they are more generic, it also has the best weapons. I don't have the blue one, but it's on walmart and it looks very snowy. It would look out of place with the other 2.

Yeah blame me for something that is clearly their fault. Like I said, the pieces have barely any friction holding them in place and I don't have to do anything to make them fall off. I snapped it on, flipped it over, it fell off. I don't know if those parts in particular are extra shitty or what, but the whole thing just feels cheap. Bad hand feel even.

Well, I'm a super Mega apologist and you are correct on the Cyclops. I have 5 and they are fragile as fuck. Anytime you try to move a limb something falls off, but it's more because of the design, rather than the quality of the bricks. The Atheon has the exact same issue.

I've seen people who don't plan on using the pieces just glueing the armor on.

Anyway, I recommend them a lot and they are really cool, but yeah, not meant for playing, more like very carefully posing.

Found some of the blue shipping containers today and bought one as my first of containers. Is it just being spoiled by super cheap clearance sets or is this just not enough for $13? Its a good set, but for $2 more I can just go over to ross and buy Nuketown or, like, 5 of those figure plus terrain sets

This was a fucking pain to build and it's missing a SINGLE piece that, in it's place, was given a standard 2x1 block instead of a 2x1 slanted piece that it needs.

Pikachu... looks just off. The legs are too short, the arms are too long, and he's a bit pot-bellied.

Also just realized that you need to buy the individually packed Pikachu to get a non-angry face, but I guess that makes sense in the battle context of the set.

Get a figure pack of halo or cod. That would give you a good idea of the figures. Also depends on what you're looking for; current soldiers? Ww2? Sci fi military? It really depends on what you want. Personally, the newest set I got and would recommend is the ww2 jeep. It can be used with a bunch of lines and gives you a good idea of the level of detail, builds and scale of the figs and vehicles.

The Halo and Destiny ones are very customizable, but you need to get a few figures to have good options to combine armors. The default armors usually look really good. I can't speak for the CoD ones.

I noticed that they are technically compatible but the Halo and Destiny lines sometimes just don't work together. The only issue I have with the Halo line is the variety of figures available in physical stores, it's tough to find older waves or older heroes
