Is the 4 inch Nel of EXE worth fifty dollars?
>>
>>6419143
If you like Battle Network, yes. He's even better with the accessories that come with the Lan figurine but I think you missed the boat on that.
>>
>>6419157
That's like 200 now.
>>
>>6419143
just got him off the bst last week for 35$. For that price hes worth it but 50 may be a bit much. Its a fun little figure but the lack of accessories hurts a bit.
>>
I think it's pretty great. There aren't a lot of options for EXE out there
>>
>>6419143
No, it's based on EXE.
>>
>>6419209
which is the best iteration of megaman, you shit taste mongoloid.
>>
>>6419143
When I say the articulation scheme is one of the most impressive I've ever seen on a 4-inch figure, I mean it.
>>
>>6419143
Yes, I have the NYCC exclusive of him and hes one of my favorite figures
>>
>>6419143
The real question is, do I get the D-arts X or the 4inch Nel of X?

>>6419739
The correct answer is Truforce X.
>>
>>6419739
The D Arts X is a hundred now.
>>
>>6419743
I can't sing this figure's praises enough, but he really doesn't fit in well with any of the other Mega Man figures. I'm glad I got D-Arts X and Zero when they were cheap
>>
>>6419756
Still worth it honestly. It's a damn good figure, and I prefer his scale over the 4-inch nel. For Classic and EXE I think 4-inches is fine, but I feel like X should be taller
>>
>>6419791
I actually managed to snag the X-Kai version two weeks ago. It's fucking beautifully crafted. Worth every penny.
>>
>>6419855
I picked up the X-Kai at NYCC, and I still have him sealed. I don't trust myself to handle a figure that nice.

D-arts.

It's real 1/12 scale and has way more accessories.

Scour eBay till you get a good deal.
>>
>>6419791
Yeah, if they make a Zero I'm going to have to pick them both up but I managed to talk myself out of X since I already had D-Arts Zero and X.

Get over yourself sperglord. Mega Man's two most defining aspects have always been weapon copying and rock paper scissors style combat which the Battle Network series simply takes to the logical extreme by merging the two into a semi-real time playing card format.
>>
>>6420862
When my original 4-inch Nel classic Megaman started having issues with his arm popping off, I decided to turn him into a custom protoman. All that is left to do is paint him and finish his shield. I'll post here and in the custom thread when all is said and done.
>>

Pray something comes up Wonfes. I want more fucking non-Mega Man characters in the Mega Man line. They gave us a taste with Cut Man, but he was in an exclusive pack.
>>
>>6425051
The exe games atleast came up with different stuff as the games progressed, 90% of the side scrolling games are the same shit.
>>
>>6419143
>Is the ___ worth ___ dollars?

To be completely honest OP, I have found the following to be true:
If you have to ask if something is worth whatever arbitrary amount you are specifying, the answer will likely be "probably not". The reason for this, is you are SOOO budget conscious and poor, you cannot enjoy a thing for it's own features. You are going to constantly be thinking of the thing you went without (food, rent, whatever). That will ruin your enjoyment. So instead, save your money for a plane ticket to some first world country, or an education, whatever it takes to make you less poor, and then start buying toys.

tl;dr: if you have to ask, just save your money you poorfag.
>>
>>6425897
Yeah, but it wasn't megaman.
>>
>>6425896
Fuuuuck that Cut Man was a tease. Still bummed I missed him.
>>
>>6425910
Megaman didn't create the platforming genre, just because they didnt have platform doesn't make it any less MegaMan. Did you complain when they added the z-saber to the X games because it meant less shooting? Who gives a fuck?

They seem the type that would fit best in scale with D arts X.
>>
>>6425939
Stop feeding the troll, you're shitting up the thread just as badly as he is. BN is straight up the second most successful Megaman series, so who gives a fuck if some people are salty it exists.

Truforce hasn't said a word since last year. And since they don't seem to be active in this SDCC they are probably just dead.

The joints on this entire line are known to crumble because they were made with substandard plastic that wasn't meant to last. There's replacement parts available on Shapeways but I know a lot of people would rather not bother.

The next best option beyond 66 Action is the DX figure Takara made, but the face on it is lousy.

check the joint within the figure itself. Sometimes they're a bit warped to begin with, which can lead to shoulder popping. I had the same problem with mine, which led to me having to get a replacement, and mine happened straight out of the box without me even touching the damn thing. Capcom told them they had to make figures for the new anime first before making something else. They probably declined.

Honestly Megaman lines in general don't have enough repaints considering the source material. Except for the old Bandai models and those crappy American toys.
>>
>>6455808
It didn't really, though. Every mass release figure was a new mold as well as the Lan parts pack, and the Rush adapters were heavy remolds. The only straight repaints we got were the three .EXE redecos(two of which came with a neutral face sculpt), Dark Volnutt, and this crappy new non-canon red Geo.
>>
>>6456546
>make a Megaman toyline

>>6455808
The repaints were kinda dumb, but they were exclusives usually. What really bugged me were the MM Classic armor packs and the two pack with Rush Adapter and Cut Man. Cut Man is so far the only articulated non-Mega Man in this entire line. Still no Zero, Blues/Proto Man, Forte/Bass.

The last line that had both classic Blues/Proto Man and Forte/Bass was fucking Jazwares. Bandai didn't bother to do d-arts Blues/ Proto Man and Kotobukiya didn't bother do a Forte/Bass kit.

To this day, it still baffles me why Bandai didn't make Treble a full-fledged action figure, considering that additional joints to his essentially action-figure-esque sculpt would've been a negligible cost at best. Love the way Bass scales pretty well with the Sentinel Rock though.

Uh, I guess you weren't around in 1987, but acquiring boss weapons after defeating them _was_ a novel concept back then.

And Gigantic Series.

The Figuarts is enough. It scales well with 4-inch-nel already and the loose hair peg can be fixed. Let's not tempt fate with more MMZ merch.
>>
>>6459469

It was a badly done MMZ, no wonder it failed, the most "accurate" one is the Figuarts, and still the headpiece is kinda bizarre.

I just think the toy always comes when lines are about to kick it and the character is not as popular as it seems, so it looks like it kills lines when in fact the line was already dead.

Mega Man Volnutt is amazing! I still need X but I'll probably buy the Evil Volnutt figure.
>>

He has great possability. My only bummer is he only has one type of face, but technically comes with 2. I'm starting to think out of them all, Classic might be my least favorite. His left arm always will fall out when I pose him.

Can you please put Volnut next to the Classic Mega Man Nel?

D-Arts Bass is perfect. Most of the D-Arts line was trash, but he might be my second fav. Vile is my desire. Anyway, Bass work great with 4 inch nel Classic. The size scale is perfect.

Any reviews of the Hasbro MvC Megaman yet? Im wondering how cheap did they make it.
>>
>>6463145
Do you even need to see more than this photo to know? You can tell by looking at the back of the knee that it bends less than 90 degrees. The left thigh shows us that that's the max height the legs can raise. The elbows are pathetic, I don't think they even hit 45 degrees. And the face looks like it's been through a blender.

I absolutely love MvC to death, but Hasbro royally fucked up on this figure.

I can't speak for the majority of the line but the Zero is the worst figure I've ever owned, literally falls apart if you try and do anything with him

in the meantime, im also looking for characters that are robots and have "man" at the end of their name to make due, like pic related

Jazwares did retro roto Elec Man, Shadow Man, and Guts Man. They also did 6 inch scale Quick Man and Cut Man.

You can always just look for generic robot looking figures and make do.

Man, I don't think it's possible for us to have had more different thoughts on this guy. His articulation is way worse than classic's, his shoulders barely go up 45 degrees, and they completely ditched the thigh swivel, ankle, and wrist engineering they had going on. He's got this great skinny design, and somehow ends up being clunkier than oldschool chubby megaman. Also, the right hip on mine is loose as fuck and will pop off at the drop of a hat.

This guy's easily my dud of the year, and I've bought some real stinkers.

>His left arm always will fall out when I pose him.
Mine's the same, but it's still a little more solid than volnutt's hip.

It's hard to show how weak the ankles and wrists are, but this is how high the shoulders can go and how much the thighs can twist with only a balljoint. He's got a swivel right below the knee which I think they expect you to use as a thigh swivel, but his knee joint is also keyed, so if you use the twist he can only bend his knees 90 degrees.

Also, one problem with the whole two-copies-of-the-same-face thing is that you can't have him hold his helmet because then it looks like it's got a head in it. On top of that, the neck peg on the helmeted version has is tighter than the balljoint going into the neck, so half the time you try to swap heads the neck stem just stays in the body.

>>6464644
Have I got a figure to sell you, then.

>>6464669
I'd say the leg falling off and neck joint are pretty big QC problems.

You can remove the head stuff and make it an empty helmet but he can't hold it for shit.

Also, his legs fall off? Mine haven't.
>>
>>6464669
The left knee on mine was loose as fuck, I had to pledge it a bit to fix it.
>>
>>6464689
I've tried a bunch to get the faceplate out of the helmet, but it doesn't seem like it wants to budge, and I don't want to break it. If you've gotten it out, can you post pics of how it's attatched?

>Also, his legs fall off? Mine haven't.
I wish I had your luck, his articulation is lackluster but his leg is definitely what killed him for me. I'm gonna see if I can fix it, but I'm not optimistic.
>>
>>6464707
Yeah. Let me get home. I'll show you later.
>>
>>6464679

I guess you got hit with bad QC, because mine has zero of these issues.

The shoulder articulation is a bit lackluster, but I'm surprised he can even do gnarly kicks.

I'm happy with mine.
>>
>>6464669
If you were around when exe first released and his dark exe repaint in the first few threads you would know this problem
They all pretty much had a loose knee
A bunch of anons and even reviewers have loose knees
Mine had both loose knees and shit arm that always falls off at the bicep swivel because it doesn't peg well
If you bought a US version there was no problem by then
>>
>>6465449
I might have gotten mine it the states. I forget. I do have arm issues with my classic always losing his arm.
>>
>>6464679
Hmm, this kinda is weird because its seems like Sentinel cared more about being on model than crazy engineering. to be fair though, having a real thigh swivel would kill the proportions of the hip joints, but it sucks what happened with the ankles and shoulders.
Waiting on the mail for mine still having high hopes...

And yet, it's still off model. Too long, like it was stretched from 16:9 to 4:3

Turns out his hip joint had a shitton of paint bleeding into into the socket, which was making it fall off. I scraped most of it out and heated/squeezed the leg so it's a little better, but it still likes to pop off every once in a while.

Lookin' extra goofy here. He dodged a trip to the BST, but mostly because I liked legends and he's pretty much all there is of it toy-wise. He's like a 6/10 on his own, and the price tag doesn't do him any favors.
