now my sister is telling me it's not appropriate for a 3 year old
wtf is the risk? will he poke himself with a metal corner or something?

First things first, all kids are different and while some are quick in the development of their skills this can't be said for every kid, which is completely fine and natural. Of course, I don't know your nephew but generally a three-year-old's motor skills are far less developed compared to a teenager. This toy wasn't made with small, playing kids in mind chances are that small parts will come off, get lost, etc and while I'm not saying that he will accidentally swallow any of the small parts of that toy, one can never be 100% sure.
Also, the thing you said about hurting himself on metal parts isn't completely baseless. So, better safe than sorry. All in all, I guess, manufacturers slap those age ratings on their toys for a reason (other than just to cover their asses in case a 2-year-old swallows a small part and their parents wanna sue them.)

thank you
Young children break shit.
That wouldn't last five minutes in the hands of a 3 year old.
There's this German company called Bruder that does really well-detailed 1/16 scale Caterpillar play vehicles rated 3+ age. I guess those are okay because of their size. Or maybe German standards are different from ASTM's. Or maybe 3 y.o. German kids are equivalent to 12 y.o. Americans. Idk.
3yo is fine
>it says 14yr+
WTF what retard put it there
also your sister is literally retarded if she can't judge it by herself, tell that to that retarded cunt

Hi Greg, how have you been?

Or maybe Germans build things (or more likely, THIS one particular thing) with less small parts that a 3-old might yank, eat and choke with - which is basically the ONLY consideration for "is this stuff apropiate for 3-olds?"
