I always wanted one of these as a kid. 30 years later I have one.

Eagle Moss superior.
No, seriously, check em out.
While it lacks the separating saucer, dat detail makes up for it.
>>6416128
Already bought one :)
>>6416121
I still have mine somewhere. Als have a Romulan Bird of Prey.
These were cool back in the day.
>>6416121
Boy that brings back memories. I got that at a Kmart while we were on a trip when I was a kid.
I think I lost the dish almost immediately under the car seat. I remember having a small scale Picard, too? It wasn't Playmates. I think this was a small 5poa thing with the phaser...which may'be been part of his sculpt.

Congrats to you, OP. There's really no better feeling than finally getting that one toy you coveted as a child.

This just made me realize TNG turns 30 years old this year...wow...
>>6416121
I always wished there was a diecast Enterprise-E like that.
Hopefully Eaglemoss will make one in their new line of bigger sized ships
I had this many years ago. Not sure what happened to it, but for a while it was the only 3D Klingon BOP you could get, till Ertl came out with a model kit in the 90s.
They Eaglemoss KBOP is so much better, my only gripe being you cannot move its wings down to attack position.

I am NOT a merry man.
>>6417113
I smile every time that comes up.
>>6416121
Man the Enterprise D is still the best Enbterprise
>>6416128
Why not compromise and get the Hot Wheels?
I still can't believe I got this one for only 40 bucks. I guess the DST version made people lose interest in the old Playmates toy.
>>6416121
I have one of these, I always remembered that little plastic flap that holds the dish on breaks really easily.
>>6417534
Me pretty much. Whenever I get a DST ship I sell off my Playmates version if I already have it.
>>6417715
I sold my original to buy the DST 1701-E but man, that thing was a piece of crap - the power switch wasn't cut properly so I couldn't get it out of the demo mode, and by the time I finally sold it, the other nacelle wouldn't light up anymore.
I still want the DST version, but not at the current prices.
Eaglemoss enterprises are good.

Had this as a kid. DO NOT open it and handle it too much. Even with the gentlest repeated handling, the paint flaked easily (and yes, I was OCD with my toys as a kid and was careful never to play rough with things).
I had this as a kid and was playing with it running aroind in the living room and the thing seperated and the upper part flew into the tv and made a huge crash but didnt break anything. I still got beat pretty badly for it.
>>6417063
I had the Enterprise like that
>>6417534
I still have mine somewhere.
The Trek Playmates stuff is mostly super cheap, even at nerd cons.
>>6416128
I love the Eaglemoss minis.
>>6417717
You should have reached out to DST. They'd have replaced it for you free of charge.

Too bad USS Voyager isn't one of them.
Got one I could open...

and split...took some effort.

Worth it.

test
why were the action figures so shite? Shirley Necca or someone could get on the case...
>>6424906
At the time they were some of the best articulated figures on the market. And the sculpts were not bad for the time. You definitely knew who everyone was by a quick glance.
>>6424906
They had a particular style they were going for. Honestly they really aren't that bad and have their charm. There was some larger stuff, maybe from NECA for the movies. I only had Picard but in Classic NECA style his arms broke off.
>>6424895
Heed my advice from above and don't handle this thing much. Even just sitting in it's package, paint has flaked off in spots.
Yea looking at mine, there are paint flakes missing all over it
>>6416121
Be careful anon. I went though quite a few of those as a kid, due to how easily the saucer section docking tabs would break off.
>>6424906

This is what Sam Neil looked like from the Jurassic Park line that was out at the same time.
The Playmates Star Trek was great, in terms of articulation, sculpt, paint, and accessories.
Hell, Wild West Worf came with a Wild West Alexander minifigure.
>>6435795
in defense of the Jurassic Park toys, they started making the toys before they knew what the cast was. Result was much older Tim action figure, BUFF ACTION MERCENARY NEDRY, Grant came with a smart bomb, and so on.
Anyone know if the diamond select ships are worth getting?
>>6434467
They are coming out with this one, it was probably onscreen for 3 seconds during the "Best of Both World" destroyed fleet scene
I love how they added some random lid to the back and called it a day. They didn't even remove the little swivel tabs on the end.
It's super fucking cheap, yet i want it.
Spaceships are cool like that.
