Weekly Challenge (Starting July 9):
>build a Nexo Knights moc (or a random moc from an NK set)
Looking forward to Egghead and his mech.
>>6412280
Lego likes to have a "back-mounted gag canister giving ammo to left-hand gun".
>watch the newest ProLC video
>o no
didn't expect to get feels from a lego channel. it'll be okay prolc. klocki will always be there for you
Beach house update, might grab another set and extend one of the sides for a sort of L shaped design
Current Lego Quest if anybody wants to come over and play:
>>>/qst/1651932
Why doesn't lego make these great sets anymore? Look at most sets from 6300 to 6399 and you'll be amazed, especially the later 50. Or is this is just nostalgia?
>>6412324
There's definitely some nostalgia there. But looking at it objectively, these sets are appealing in their minimalism. Just enough pieces to define the shape and function. They might have also had the advantage of being slightly larger than their modern equivalents, since parts were larger on average so the set wasn't bloated with 500 1x1 pieces.
t. millenial who has 0 nostalgia for them
>>6412346
yea naturally there are more minimalistic, but really some of the older ones feel like sets you could always use to add to your collection. Shame it's so expensive!
>>6412353
this one is aesthetic af
>>6412324
>is this is just nostalgia?
No, I wouldn't say so. Late 80s - early 90s aesthetic was GOAT. The simplicity was charming and the shapes were interesting. Tons of pieces they wouldn't use today because of the whole "structurally sound build" rule. I also say this as a millennial who grew up in the early 00s, no attachment to them
>>6412356
VREEEOOOMMM~
>>6412360
I wasn't born until '95 so I don't have the same nostalgia you guys have.
That car is a little lame.
The monorail is cool I guess? But small for a train IMO.
That plane is cool. I much prefer that brick built nose to the molded pieces they put in City sets these days
damn I wish they would bring back some of those sweet-ass glass molds
>>6412360
I always found the lack of actual houses etc pretty lacking when I was playing with lego back in the days. Just vehicles etc. is what they mostly sold here. Wish they made this stuff more.Finding this stuff to buy now is a hell
Finished the legs. I wanted a digitigrade design initially but I'm starting to like the backwards bent look. Completely stole the shape from ED-209. >>6412298
I really love the palm tree and hammock. An L-shape to the house would look good. Maybe with a deck, sun chair and umbrella?
>>6412356
i miss the cars with canopies.
>>6412383
Didn't even think of an umbrella, definitely will add one. Excited to get more interior space for a bedroom
And nice legs, i like the teeth parts on the feet
How does this sound for a challenge: "Remake a set from your childhood". Seems like something that's been done before but I can't remember when.
>>6411609
>Post old MOCs
I rebuilt this car from like 1989.
fuck I'm old
>>6412298
thinkng about grabbing this, would you recommend?
>>6412469
Yes, it's quite fun to build off of.
>>6412466
And a sports car of same vintage.
Can someone identify this helmet?
I got it as a freebie with a bricklink order, not sure it's Lego at all.
>>6412497
Looks like a republic commando helmet, which I don't believe Lego has made, probably fake
Creator RV for $40 or Battle on Scarif for $20.
Which would you go for? Can only get one (got some rewards and stuff to use) and I'm torn. Scarif seems to be the better deal, but the RV seems more fun.
>>6412552
>Brick-built bear
How is this even a question?
>>6412552
I just looked them up and the Scarif Battle costs HOW FUCKING MUCH
>>6412552
>Scarif seems to be the better deal
How?
>>6412552
When did Scarif become so expensive?
>>6412554
Hmm, this is a convincing argument. I just put together the Lakeside Lodge last week, so I've got the moose to battle him!
>>6412562
>>6412580
>>6412586
Yeah, as a Star Wars fag I do like and want the set, but no way in hell at their asking price. And yeah, pretty much all of the Scarif set's gimmicks I could do without.
Still, it'd be a perfect place for my Rogue One minifigs to battle.
Guide me lg.
Lady on craigslist has this left over from a yard sale. Said to make her a "reasonable" offer. Quotes are hers. What would this be worth? Is it even worth the trouble?
>>6412613
>Still, it'd be a perfect place for my Rogue One minifigs to battle.
in your place I'd just get a couple handfuls of the main pieces off bricklink - like panels and some basic slopes for the gateway, a selection of large tiles and plates for the ground - and build your own version. It should be a lot cheaper, too.
>>6409284
>>6409260
Just to let you guys know, I didn't die and it was exactly as described
>>6412623
Looks like a lot of mega blocks, ew
>>6412623
Personally, I'd pass.
Looks like there's mega bloks mixed in so a can't tell whats what all too well from the pics.
>>6412623
I would just pass. She managed to not sell Lego at a yardsale and asks for a "reasonable" offer. Sounds like someone who thinks their crap is worth more than it is
>>6412641
Hot damn. That is a sweet ass deal, anon. Good work.
>>6412276
I think those forest/water monster were only concept art. They considered as the villains very early while designing the theme, but at end they went with the lava monsters, probably because they look more menacing
About the monsters for year 3, the storyline is going towards Monstrox getting his body back. Monstrox is a necromancer. So, I think the villians will be like reanimated corpses. Similar to the skeleton faction from Fantasy Era. Green is a color associated with death, so it fits.
>>6412276
I'm just going to pasta all the important stuff from the last thread:
The Lego Batman Movie
-Justice League Anniversary Party
-Egghead
-Harley Quinns Attack
-Bat-Buggy
- Bat-Spaceshuttle
Descriptions:
"The buggy: Batman and Captain Boomerang, small set
The Shuttle: 3 versions of Batman and two of robin visible, big set
Harley's Truck: actually named as "cannonball attack", and she is flying out of a giant canon put on a truck, comes with Batgirl, a driver, Harley and a completely white man (perhaps not ready minifigure)
Party: Superman, Hawkman, a dog with green cape (?), and someone doing brake-dance on his head (I didn't see the movie)"
Nexo Knights:
-Lance’s Hiver Jouster (72001)
-Twinfector (72002)
-Berserker Bomber (72003)
-Tech Wizard (72004)
-X-bow (72005)
-Axl’s Rolling Arsenal (72006)
Descriptions:
"72006 to me looks like an world war vehicle which lands from water to the beach with giant links on the sides. Dark blue, gold, trans-orange and dark grey. Villains do have the colors black and trans-green.
72003 looks like that flying helicopter from Avatar with rotors on both sides put on horizontally. Good guy in orange "space-suit", vehicle black - trangreen."
Marvel:
6 Infinity War sets and 2 Black Panther sets
Star Wars:
"Be prepared for minifigures like Ki Adi Mundi, Coleman Trebor, Yoda, Jawas, Tusken, General Grievous, Mace Windu"
"The battle pack has two jawas, one tusken and one Astro mech."
"There is a Coleman Trebor battle pack, with other Jedi like Ki Adi Mundi in it."
>>>/qst/1655948
Funtron Round 3 begins now! Come on over for an adventure in bots and botany.
>>6412650
I know, I don't know how much is missing or whatever, but she had the box and all the instructions and brick seperator so i think i lucked out
>>6412280
2018 set. Includes Egghead,Condiment King and Batman.
>>6412658
This makes more sense than bugs/insects...Will Jestro be villain again? Who knows
>>6412662
>-Lance’s Hiver Jouster (72001)
>-Twinfector (72002)
>-Berserker Bomber (72003)
>-Tech Wizard (72004)
>-X-bow (72005)
>-Axl’s Rolling Arsenal (72006)
Interesting...
>>6412662
I'm so happy about Nexo's third year. The designs are more original than Ninjago(not counting the movie sets which are amazing).
>>6412276
So beautiful. I'm going to make some Nexo Mocs too. I will use the Atlantis villains and I will make a Nexo boat. Maybe I will make one for the sea monsters too using my Pirates ships. Oh,I could make Nexo cowboys too and the baddies will be Ninjago snakes and Chima Scorpions.
I'm still disappointed the actual Colossus set doesn't have more articulation.
>>6412276
I do belive this vid was posted, yes?

Anon with the Lego destroying cat from last thread.
I'd just like to apologist for what I said and the empty threats that I made towards my cat. They were said in anger and were an over reaction, brought on by my need to vent.
I'm sorry that you had to bear witness.
If anyone is wondering, the cat is fine, I'm not going to do anything to him, other then move him into the laundry for the foreseeable future.
So are there gonna be discounts worth anything on Amazon Prine day or nah?
>just got 100$ gift card
>>6412745
I will prep the building plans!
>tfw I still got that Indian set with tents and the gold mine too!
>>6412672
>This is fine
What about the City leaks? Are we really getting a SWAT Van?
>>6412383
That looks like a lighter version of Baltisches Auge from Wolfenstein New Order.
Find a flaw.
PS:
Protip: You Cant.
>>6412803
Legs are bad. Very, very BAD. Ant too much technic beams sticking out.
>>6412803
That I don't have one yet.
>>6412806
>Legs are bad. Very, very BAD
uhhh..what? legs are so fucking badass. Like ice columns.
I half-agree about technic holes but they only open opportunity to design that further because you can heavily mod him - attach stuff.
I was thinking about covering him turning him into literal robo mammoth so he will have "skin" on his left-right side buuuut...
i dont have money for so many brown-icy parts yet...
>>6412803
The entire back end looks like it's completely unfinished. It's as if the designers just stopped half way through, and then threw some shit together in a halfed ass attempt to salvage the set.
The gimmick is excellent, on paper. In practice, separating the two vehicles just makes the mammoth somehow look even worse than it already did before separation.
The exposed technic beams absolutely ruin the whole set (both when separated and unseparated). The visible pinholes and beams are a big factor in the 'unfinished' aesthetic I was talking about earlier.
The body has basically no shaping at all, just a hollow box. The rib cage walls really aren't enough to carry the shaping on their own.
Anon, I'm happy you like the set, really I am. But realistically, you should be working on trying to fix the flaws the set has instead of just pretending they don't exist.
>>6412816
>entire back end looks like it's completely unfinished
It looks like it's only a skeleton of actaul build.
>>6412818
>mammoth
>skeleton
whoah
>>6412816
>The entire back end looks like it's completely unfinished
you showing it without that flying thing on him.
with that thing he looks like a Zombie mammoth which fits.
+ holes to keep soldiers inside.
hes like a half-rotten animal carcass.
>>6412280
DC also has an Eggman?
>>6412792
No. We get mountain police and mining next year for City.
>>6412827
fuck
Has anyone Chima concept art? I'm interested in seeing how they were going to look like. Thanks.
>>6412497
Looks like a JEK-14 helmet without printing
>>6412830
>I'm interested in seeing how they were going to look like. Thanks.
I dont have that many but here is one of the early concepts of Ice Tribe
>>6412835
>Also,my Chima Vardy minifig has his hand broken(the blue one), it can be fixed?
photos of broken hand?
i tried using telepathy but i kinda suck at it
Looks like we are getting a new millennium Falcon microfighter with Chewbacca in the winter wave (from 2018 news thread) and a first order tie with pilot microfighter. Hopefully gives a cheap way for the special forces pilots to be acquired.
Also jedi battlepack listed to include two troopers as well as the two jedi, seems like this could be a Geonosis type pack.
>>6411571
from previous general,
if ya still lurking, my pearl is a mix of the official kit off ebay for around $350aud (pricey cause its discontinued), fishing a lot of already owned parts from my own large lego boxes and a whole lot of orders from bricklink equaling around another $350aud, I did however splurge a lil and bought a lot of coins, cannons and a few mini figs that i liked. I'd strike a guess that if you wanted to buy every piece without having already owned anything you'll be looking around $700 - $800 aud (the ship base pieces are the wallet drainer, i think they are only available from the official black pearl kit so that's why.) plus shipping from whatever shops actually have the necessary parts which could add up another 100ish depending on where you live
>>6412833
lol
>>6412552
Got this set to build with my gf.
>comfy af
>>6411023
Have you ever had a girl over? What did she think?
>first time buying lego ever
>trying to get some of the smaller castle, ninja, knight's kingdom sets
>sellers either only sell the minifigure without anything else or some unopened box for a fortune
Is there no other way lads?
>>6412914
Use bricklink for older discontinued sets
>>6412641
Glad you're not dead and glad it wasn't a...
>>6412623
$10-15 max
>>6412623
The CMF Pretzel Girl is worth around 10 bucks by itself. Like other anon said, her conception of "fair" and what the lot is actually worth are probably wildly different.
built my own Spacehog for the main man, since Lego's official version is probably going to be pretty simplistic.
[toyler]Now watch them make the set include new 52 prettyboy Lobo[/toyler]
>>6413069
Looks pretty badass
Though I don't know lobo well enough to really judge details, but the lightsaber handles seem a bit thin for exhaust pieces
>>6412723
Who is the tall guy with the glasses, does he run some channel too?
Star Wars 2018:
We get 5 Brickheadz
4 The Last Jedi sets
2 TFA Microfigthers(Millenium Falcon-Chewie and F.O. Tie-Pilot)
2 TLJ Microfighters
Tatooine BP(2 Jawas,1 Tusken and astromech-not R2D2)
Geonosis BP(Ki Adi Mundi,Coleman Trebor,2 clone troopers)
Yoda's hut(Luke,Yoda and R2,no X-Wing-25$)
Grievous speeder(Mace Windu,Grievous-cheap set)
Boba Fett and Vader CCBS and other TLJ figures
It's not the full line. We are also getting Han Solo a SW story sets on 20th April 2018.
>still haven't finished current MOC but I'm already planning another one
>probably even bigger
>>6412276
Thank goodness. Here's hoping that Wave 3 is where the really cool stuff starts coming out.
>>6412732
Reminds me of a friend who had to keep his UCS Sandcrawler at floor because it didn't fit onto any of his shelves.
His household also had three cats so you can guess how it went. When he moved the other day he had to spend one evening piecing it back together.
>>6412816
>It's as if the designers just stopped half way through
Actually,
>Someone else did an earlier sketch model of an Ice Mammoth, it was massive, but two of it's legs was my entire budget! So I started from scratch. I do hate how skeletal the frame is without the flyer on top, however I ran out of places I could reduce to bulk it up - lose the flyer? Remove parts from the head? Only have three legs? :) I hope it's still cool anyway. Loved making this one, it was right up my alley, hidden vehicle, loads of guns, a mech, funky colours and I used some nice new pieces.

>Old school clamp thing to grab containers with.
I have the railroad freight station with a big yellow overhead crane with that same function. That thing dominated my childhood. I wish the modern, bigger containers had a crane just like the old ones. The hook thing bothers my autism.
>>6413364

Th Nexo villains are undead trans-green with black villains for their third year. The trans-green will be dark like Insectoids.
>>6413403

>>6413305
I have 4 mocs halfway done, and haven't touched any of them for a week. But thigs like this happened before, and I managed to finish those mocs back then, This happens, when you're out of parts, or, more like, out of good ideas. Most of the time I feel like it's better to hold a bit, then return and make somethin good, then stuggle for hours and ending up dismantling or completely rebuilding what you've done.
>>6413162
>still no sandcrawler microfighter
I was a highwayman. Along the coach roads I did ride
With sword and pistol by my side
Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade
Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade
The bastards hung me in the spring of twenty-five
But I am still alive
I was a sailor. I was born upon the tide
And with the sea I did abide
I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico
I went aloft and furled the mainsail in a blow
And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed
But I am living still
I was a dam builder across the river deep and wide
Where steel and water did collide
A place called Boulder on the wild Colorado
I slipped and fell into the wet concrete below
They buried me in that great tomb that knows no sound
But I am still around, I'll always be around and around and around and
Around and around
I fly a star-ship across the Universe divide
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Perhaps I may become a highwayman again
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I will remain
And I'll be back again, and again and again and again and again
>>6413364
>>6413436
Looking at the huge gap in quality between the mocs on his Flickr page compared to the official sets he's designed is astounding. Like, I'm sure working for lego must be fun and all, but constantly having to dumb down my work and put out builds that are worse quality than what I know I'm capable of doing would personally drive me insane.
>>6413536
It's not feasible for every theme, but lego is certainly able to make sets that are nearly as polished as MOCs. The ninjago movie sets seem to walk that line perfectly.
>>6413525
I was thinking I'll be really disappointed if that's not a Classic Space guy.

>>6414415
Yes, Lego completely gave up on Bionicle G2 by the second wave
>>6414403
"unfinished" and "destroyed" are not synonymous. Unfinished means it was never completed. Destroyed means it was whole but has since been broken. They are COMPLETELY different things. If you need a real life example, search "unfinished building" into google images, and then search "destroyed building" and compare the results.

Yeah,I won't waste my money on TLJ.

Slicer actually had to look unfinished, if he had shells on his arms he couldn't move the gearbox.
>>6414755
Yes they did.
Being a set designer must suck. Create something awesome, and then oh nooo, can't do that, parts budget. I'd guess it's like creating a nice painting and having the boss say, that's cute but make the face a smiley emoji instead.
Then again, sometimes limitations help creativity, whatever.
S-so h-huy guys...i finally got that threaded truck from Technic and fucking love modding it so much.
Right now its a robo-insect thing. That also my sigfig's Mad-Max-esque vehicle

i really really want brown versions of these technic plates now to make this thing look rusty. Do they even exist?
Possibly in that new Speeder from StarWars buildable figure?
>>6414755
I like the final Misfortune's Keep set better, but the other one would make a great additional set.
>>6414830

Thanks!
i see they mostly in Dark Tan versions... seems like only picrelated set has the true brown color.
>>6414844
Cool thing about bricklink is that some sellers will break up a set so you can buy only the parts you want from them.
Maybe mixing the tan and brown would give a nice tacked-together look?
>>6414846
Was thinking about this too. Like the true rusty vehicles being a little chaotic with "rust variations" most of the time.
>>6414851
>https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=11946#T=C
Honestly I would kill any of the white, switch those and some of the green stuff for gray, dark grey, tan, dark tan, brown. Depends on how many other parts you have, and how granular you want the rust to look
Is there any reason to be BL seller? Is it good option if I just want to get rid of some parts I don't need?
>>6414880
It's probably a more lucrative option than selling individual assortments of parts on ebay. Most people there sell bulk lots.
ProLegoChannel has a store, he could give some insightl.
>>6414880
I'm a seller. I honestly wouldn't recommend it. You get stuck in a limbo between "just getting rid of stuff" and "I have ten million parts in stock and I get hundred orders daily" very easily. Haven't got single order in three weeks.
But it's fun, and while it's not a lot of money I make, it's still something.
>>6414880
>I just want to get rid of some parts I don't need
I would never be able to get rid of any of my Legos. Even the pieces I've never used before.
Thanks anon(s) for posting the concept art and meeting room. Need a break from this thing and gotta go back to working on my lines.

>>6415000
pretty much everything from TFA + a black BB8 + non-holographic Snoke
nothing new if you ask me
the lack of new, original designs in this new take of Star Wars movies worries me. Even the prequels had more variety and took more risks in the character design department. So far, everything from TFA and TLJ looks like Original Trilogy fanfics.
>>6415292
Not yet. If they do another $10USD price point subset, I hope they don't jew the villains like they did in Year 2.

Is the possibility for a new unknown in-house theme ruled out yet? Spesifically CCBS.
Bionicle is dead and gone, but I doubt they wouldn't at least try to do some ccbs-mixel joint type hybrid with bit more system.
>>6415323
Nope,only Star Wars.
From Eurobricks The Last Jedi set list(2017):
75176 Resistance Transport Pod
75177 First Order Heavy Scout Walker
75179 Kyle Ren's TIE Fighter
75187- BB8
75188 - Resistance Bomber
75189 - First Order Heavy Assault Walker
75190 - First Order Star Destroyer
Sir Von Lego said:
"Escape pod and the walker are correct. Escape pod is white and it seems to be that "cockpit" from one of the first images(TLJ teaser trailer). The walker is kind of a tank on 6 or 8 legs..."

>>6415527
OH 10210 Imperial Flagship?
Its also good, if you can find one. Those are so expensive now. The Brickbeard figure is nice.
>>6415531
I had the chance to get that when I was younger, never did and regretted it for the rest of my life.
Will probably hold it's value above 3-500 forever now.
I need more missiles.

Why wouldn't you buy several of them directly from Lego for 75 cents each?
>>6415553
>not having rocket boys for giant missiles
Trying out a few configurations for a fun-size modular train layout. The 4-wide is probably too small to gel with a city display, but does the larger format look viable?
I'm also having trouble with the right-angle turns, which are making it difficult to do coupling between the cars. Any ideas?
>>6415562

>>6415537
Same. Been going through some dark ages recently and been mildly getting back into Lego. Haven't bought anything b/c none of the current themes strike any interest with me, but I always wanted this set when I was younger, just never had the money to buy it. Recently found an eBay listing at $100 and been thinking of taking the ahot
>>6415572
Might have worked something out with threading a chain through the chassis. It's on the clunky side, but is compatible with the sharp turns.
>>6415585
I like the way you've attached the handlebars here. It took a moment to work out what was going on.
>>6415596
This is also neat, particularly the way you've got the fences attached to each other at the rear. I'm fond of the concept of Nexo peasantry as well.
I know you guys have a bit of a dislike for Power Miners because of the color scheme, but can we at least appreciate the sweet molds we got out of the line?
>>6415622
>This is also neat, particularly the way you've got the fences attached to each other at the rear.
Thanks anon!
>I'm fond of the concept of Nexo peasantry as well.
Me too! If I make another Nexo moc it is probably going to be a peasant scene of some kind.
>>6415622
I'm curious, how do the train tracks actually work? The wheels don't seem to interface with the rails.
>>6415649
In my opinion, this theme was pretty groundbreaking for the time. No pun intended.
This set is also pretty dang fun for such a simple function.

>>6415649

>>6415694
I don't. I loved it, I had just about every set, I think. But a lot of people get pissy about the color scheme.
>>6415696
Rock Raiders did have better colors though.
>>6415701
Power miners had better everything else
>>6415717
Did power miners have laser cannons? cuz Rock Raiders had laser cannons.
>>6415717
>>6415721
Rock Raiders was an entirely different aesthetic. The teal/yellow was cool, sure, but it was a grittier theme. A rag-tag bunch who were just in it for a profit.
Power Miners were company men, who were forced to defend themselves against the crystal-monster onslaught. But because they were company men, they still had to comply with OSHA. Hence the hi-vis color scheme and standard work uniform.
I'll just leave this here.

MULTI-TRACK DRIFTING!?
>>6415661
Rounded studs on the bottom keep the car locked between the rails while allowing it to "turn" the corners. The wheels don't touch the rails at all as the whole assembly just slides around on top of the tiles.
It works the same in 4- or 6-wide scale, but the 4-wide is considerably more stable.
>>6415680
I tried both of them, but the larger ball joints were too hard to work in and the click hinges didn't seem to have enough range to move in. Hopefully, the double Mixel joints should be able to hold the wings up IRL.
Which one do you prefer and why?
>>6415845
Bigger looks better.
That said, with a little bit of modification, the new Milano could be turned into the smaller version that Rocket flew in the Battle of Xandar in GotG1
Who won: me or my nephew?
>>6415845
Big is very good, small is impressive getting 4 Minifigures in there and the front is nicer. I like the 'lego scale' of the small one better.
It turns out the secret to turning corners was rotatable bogies, and that 4-wide track works better than 6-wide. Still working out the linkages and I have zero 1x2 tiles in tan, but I think the passenger car is otherwise complete.
>>6415891
Your headlights are cool, but your nephew had a great idea with the piece for the grill.

>>6415649
I like Power Miners. I even had the chance this year to talk with a Lego designer who worked on Power Miners and Nexo Knights.
I asked him why they choose lava monsters and rock monsters instead of those cool forest and sea monsters from the Book of Monsters and he said "We never had the plan to realease those monsters, they were just made for the book."
"We choose the lava and rock monsters for Nexo Knights because they were done the last time in Power Miners and we though they were pretty cool."
I asked him if we'll see Power Miners rebooted in the future or a similar theme and he said: "Right now we don't have plans on realeasing a Power Miners line but I'm sure we'll do one again in the future like space and castle."
After that I asked him about how much will Nexo continue and if we'll get a new space or castle theme,he said: "Nexo Knights last one more year(2018) and if it will be succesfull it will have probably even a fourth year."
"The thing about space and castle is that right now Lego has Star Wars and they don't need it for now."
"For sure we'll bring a new line in the future but not like before"
"On castle..well I know many people don't want to say that Nexo Knights is a Castle theme but it is,it was tested alongside other castle themes and Nexo Knights was the most succesfull."
>>6415950
>Is that it?
Far from it. This thread is full of fags. We'd be here all day trying to name them all.

Those are the most unoriginal and uncreative vehicle designs I have ever seen. That Kylo Ren fighter looks like an edgy version of the TIE Interceptor, that escape pod thingy is the most bland spaceship you can think of, and that last thing, whatever it is, looks like an AT-ST with curled up spider legs. It's like nothing changed in the past 30 or 40 years in the Star Wars universe and we're still in the Original Trilogy era.
At lease prequels gave us something new and unique to look at, these crafts look like something straight out of a fan-fic of some kind of OT fanboy. And I can bet my money that, just like The Force Awakens was a carbon copy of A New Hope, The Last Jedi will be the same as The Empire Strikes Back. Fuck Disney for ruining this saga.

I get what you mean but I like the current color scheme. It actually started as wanting to make something with black and white as primary colors. Then I remembered I had ordered 2 extra of the trans bright green domes and that led to a more insect inspired build.
I just need to come up with some weapons for her. I was thinking some type of dual sub-machine guns of some sorts.

Some i made on last summervacations. Hope you guys don't mind a small dump.
This kinda sucks for reminding me i can't follow up on my 22 year tradition of visiting Italy once a year this summer.

Oh cool, it's a new Kek Powerizer.
how do i make a small and comfy build /lg/
Also recently got the new fun on the beach set and made too much a fuss of who should have wich swimming trunks and swimsuit as usual.

people are shitting on this but honestly this seems like the coolest vehicle design from the new trilogy to me so far. color scheme is lame though.
>>6416873
Lots of things, but apart from subjectmatter:
scale/human proportions, details that make you believe people live/work there and making it look slightly disorganized in places like someone forgot they misplaced their stuff there.

That's really great anon.
Interested in seeing that body re-used for other things. I like the way it looks now, but can see why the anon was interested in a more buggy look. I wouldn't really call it a criticism because it's thanks to your body looking just so damn human.
Finally redid my cop cruiser to seat a detained criminal in the backseat, never really did anything with it because of that. Also made a kitchen-aid with the new whisk piece.
But I have too much "sort of finished" and wip projects i just can't find the energy to take pics of including but not limited to: A new biker gang, edgy superhero outfit of minifigures, a le mans racer, 7-wide mystery machine redux, 7-wide pontiac musclecar that is already pretty much destroyed now, a candy-themed space faction, a bunch of medieval adventurers, more aerobics/fitness outfits, robo-royalty, 20 extremely expensive wantedlists for exotic minifigs, a bunch of ideas for comics.
Luckily, i'm not really doing anything this summer as of now so maybe i'll do it soon.
Anyone else coping with excessive Lego backlogs?

I actually liked that new Scout Walker at first glance, but uh... it just seems too narrow, y-know? Like you could knock it over with a stiff breeze. It's too narrow to be stable.
>>6416713
Interestingly enough, pulling the middle out of the Resistance Troop Transport B-Wing thing makes almost exactly that.
Pic is my take, with a bit of blue from Benny's SSS.
>>6416717
Would be cool to use it with power functions.
>>6416879
>Also recently got the new fun on the beach set
Pic of the green bikini torso? It looks like it has ruffles from the preview pics.

Looks like a shittier Phantom II.

there is nothing shittier than the Phantom II

>BB-8 UCS
Depending on the cost, I'll probably get it. It'll look cool next to the UCS R2-D2. It would be REALLY great if each side, you could open the middle of the circle to reveal another tool.
>Heavy Assault Walker
Serious Gorilla aspects. I really like it. Minifig selection is decent...Would really like another 1-2 Stormtroopers at least.
>Star Destroyer
Always nice to have these. Capital Ships are great and the minifig selection is nice. Another hologram piece is great and the Droid is neat too. Would have liked another Officer type though. Would like to see the inside better than those leaked picture from awhile back.
>Resistance Bomber
Very cool model, very nice Figures...$100 price tag is just too high. Will probably wait for sales...this would be better at $70~.
>Kylo's Tie Fighter
If this is Under $60, This will be fucking amazing. I would what BB-9E's relationship is too the story if its with Kylo here for his Tie Fighter but then again with Snoke on the Star Destroyer.
>Heavy Scout Walker
Depends on price again. If this is like the AT-ST last year and around $40, this will make a nice set. General Hux is good, as his only appearance prior was the awful Command Shuttle. Flametroopers are always nice to get, and Resistance Troopers are good. Weird that it has a shuttle pilot and not a walker pilot..oh well.
>Escape Pod
New Finn is nice, Rose is good. Ship looks ok. If this is $20-25, Than it'll be fine. Any higher and this will be another wait-for-deals set.
>>6416966
Can't take pics now, but it doesn't have lace or ruffles.
It's a front-tie bikini with strap and white-polkadot pattern.
The back also has knots both across the midriff and where the strap wraps behind the neck.
>>6416713
New yellow canopy for classic space purposes. Orange tail. Good set.
>>6416985
Never mind, I guess it's up on bricklink now
>>6416943
I've got a few sets I need to work on. Mystery Mansion greenhouse expansion is nearly done, then I guess I'll build the Mansion proper and see what I want to change with it. The aping of the seaplane in 1100 has taken on a life of its own, but it's only $8 in parts to be "good enough". Need to finish minifigure display cases, too.

>New Finn is nice, Rose is good. Ship looks ok. If this is $20-25, Than it'll be fine. Any higher and this will be another wait-for-deals set.
It's a 30USD set. I'll wait for a sale, it's just how long to hold out for.
I wouldn't buy the Pod set if you only want Finn, as he's heavily rumored to have a large duel with Phasma (as she now has a giant spear) and they are most likely saving her for a later spoilery set in the Winter.
>>6417025
It probably won't be long after release until Target has one of it's 20% off deals. So just keep an eye out for that, probably
>>6417029
Rose is my main point of interest. Finn could be handy the rest is just parts fodder.

>>6416717
Looking at this...this is probably like the Kylo Ren Command Shuttle (concept art showed it as grey without folding wings), where LEGO got screenshots from afar of this thing with the Legs folded so, so instead of a giant Spider Walker, they thought it was a crawler thing with short moving legs.

>It's like nothing changed in the past 30 or 40 years in the Star Wars universe and we're still in the Original Trilogy era.
Hollywood in a nutshell, anon.
Look at Star Wars what a huge classic it is, all those movies and comics and shit, let's do Star Wars again and we're gonna make billions.
Except make that moon thing bigger! how about a whole planet? that's genius Bob, genius.
