I want to like these, but them transforming into robots kills it for me.
The smaller power armor things are cool, but meh, I'm not going to only ust collect those things. I want support vehicles... that don't turn into robots that are noticeably feet/hands/etc in street mode.

I got the originals from a relative who went to Japan when I was a kid in New Zealand. I never knew what they were as a kid but i fucking loved them. I only found out a couple of years back they were actually Diaclone. When does this go up for preorder?

I NEVER buy anything this fuckhuge, but this looks like the toy to end all toys. Dia Battles V2 is one of the best modern transforming figures/sets in my opinion, and Big Powered takes everything exponentially to the next level.

From what I was aware of I only knew of that 5 pack+bike set was the exclusive, not the actual big powered they've been parading around.

Its possible it could also be sold on both the ttmall and in regular japanese retail but that's grasping straws, I guess I'll find out the truth sooner or later.

How about mobility gear like pic related? As for parts that are clearly only robot bits, there's surprisingly not much of that. On Diabattles you've got Battles-01 which is the torso, but turns into a great little gunpod. The hips are pretty damn convincing as maneuverable thrusters. Battles-02 has the only bits that are clearly robot parts, the arms, but those you can easily put aside and ignore, leaving you with just a badass aircraft. Battles-03 has the lower legs but those are convincing tank treads, and the docking clamps don't look blatantly robotlike either. Plus, you can make plenty of non-humanoid mecha with some creative combination of parts. Big Powered looks to be pretty much the same story, the only thing that's clearly a robot component is the arms, ditch them and nothing immediately stands out too badly.

For fucks sake. If these things were $20 for two or hell even one I would be swimming in these things. $70 burgers is just unreal. For a squad of 6 you could almost get Big Powered instead from overseas. That's not including weapon accessories or an extra minifig pack either.

As for Big powered, I hope they do a repaint that goes with moonbase suites and DaiBattles.

The engineering and detail. I mean, just look at the Dianaut pilots. At about an inch tall, they have nine points of articulation, frickin tiny little magnets in their feet for spacewalking, and just look at the detail. Getting a face to look that good at this scale is goddamn mind blowing. And everything in the line is engineered to this degree. This is high end, boys.

Going by what they started with Diabattles, I'd say there most likely will be. Their biggest market is rabid otaku, they'll milk it for all it's worth. I'd say the question isn't IF they'll make repaints, but whether those repaints will match the Moonbase and Cosmo versions.

Does anyone have 3x Diabattles of the same colour?

I have two, one in bot and one in separate vehicles. A third one could make two more walkers but Battles 03 will just be a cockpit.

Some of the cockpit modules are using the same stress-prone blue plastic for their back-connectors. The new version of Diabattles is changing these to silver plastic.

Yeah that's what I'm worried about. Since they didn't milk any black repaints I went with the white of the cosmo diabattles and picked up matching power suits to go with him. The new white and orange ones that are about to release, namely. I hope big powered gets a matching or complimentary deco. This line is too expensive to pick up repaints of everything and it's hard enough getting items to match without the gaudy colors.

The one on the right is Skybase. Just above and to the right of Dia Attacker I see a Drill Dasher. The two robots doing the heavy lifting also seem to be Dia Attacker, though they look smaller than the spacecraft mode there. Even the road squares they're laying down were actual toys.
