Uh oh. So the toy got broken. Anyone got tips or tricks for when the seller or importer refuses to do a return or do any help? Could use some advice. This guy broke off at the hip joint and I was thinking of using a dab or two of epoxy, but I'm not certain if that will be safe for the paint or for the figure. Any thoughts? Suggestions on what to do? If your own toy has broken, please share the damage and ask for advice on what to do.
>>
If he broke it and sold it to you and you bought it with Paypal and he doesn't want to help you just tell Paypal all that.

If you broke it suck it up and try again with a new Joseph and remember: his hips swing out when he's new in box, not forward.
>>
>>6392971
A bonus, too, is that if you get a new Joseph you can display an Iggy with each different head.
>>
>>6392948
Looks like your Joseph will be needing a robotic leg too.
>>
>>6392971
>>6392973
>>6392995
Alright, thanks guys.
>>
>>6392948
It could be fixed by replacing the broken peg with a metal rod. All you'd need is a pin vise and a nail
>>
Buy the same exact one from BBTS, then return the broken one and get a refund. Make sure you sign up to PayPal free returns so that you don't pay for return shipping.
>>
>>6393016
Do you think you could explain what you mean in more detail? Thanks for your reply.
>>
That Joseph is known for breakage out of the box unless its the reissue.
>>
>>6393025
I'll do this next time. Thanks pal.

>>6393032
It wasn't the reissue. I'm relieved to know I'm not just a dumb brute, I've dealt with other Super Action Figures before and they were pretty resilient so I couldn't believe it when this happened.
>>
>>6393025
BBTS doesn't carry Jojo figures.
>>
>>6393042
Yeah if its the 1st version then its known for breakage out of the box.

Ask the SAS general its a pretty well known issue.
>>
OH NO

I had the exact same issue on a Silver Chariot figure I bought (and then returned) ages ago. Do SAS figures just have weak leg connections or something?

I have a broken toy too.
its a Fraulein Revoltech, Soryu Asuka Langley Series 003.
I bought her new back in 2008 and it was on display ever since. today I was rearranging the Eva display area and when I tried to bend her arm her left elbow broke off.
if I press the arm real hard back into the spot it stays on, but as soon as I touch it the arm falls off. I was thinking about super glueing it because she was on display for 9 years and never have been moved, but I still like to have the option of moving her arm. how do I properly repair her arm?

>>
Mine broke the exact same way OP the first time I posed that leg. Iggy was a piece of shit who's head fell off too.
>>
>>6392948
I made the same exact mistake with my figure, I just super glued it back into place and I haven't touched it ever sense
>>
I got a figuarts sailor uranus. Her neck was broken. The peg some how got Sheard off by the previous owner. Got her in box for 15$ from the guy when I bought a injustice harly in box for 40$. Any way I just slathered the neck ball with nail polish, put some on her faces and back of head. When the heads on it acts like a stiff ball joint. Head doesn't fall off when I hold her upside down. I repaint her in to an oc character from a story im writing.

ordered an unopened femto from ebay and it arrived with the foot peg snapped. tried asking in the figma thread but haven't had any luck, is it possible to contact gsc for a replacement part or shall i just send it back to the seller?
>>
>>6393563
>buying from eBay
Uh...may I ask why? It's still available in so many official shops. Buying from eBay generally sorta fucks you over in regards to getting support from GSC. They tend to frown on any purchases not made at official international partner shops or respected Japanese shops. Not that any bootlegs of Femto exist far as I know but still.

Sending it back to the seller might get you better results because THEY can contact GSC if they bought it from a reputable source which they most likely did. I would say let the seller contact them in your place but that'd probably get over the 45 day limit and open you up to being fucked over unless you really trust that seller.
>>
>>6393342
Do paint it with primer first then paint with with red afterwards.

This is disgusting to look at, I dunno, you look like you smeared a ketchup on her and called it a paintjob.

This is the reason I prefer Gunpla than figures. Figures seem fragile as hell, not to mention they're super expensive.
>>
>>6393590
i only went through ebay because they were selling it for a really good price, and i always get hit with massive custom charges when ordering through official channels. the price ya have to pay for living in the uk unfortunately. i think i'm just gonna return him and rebuy him from somewhere else, although i won't be able to find him for that price again anytime soon.
>>
>>6393597
What do you mean? Gunpla's fairly fragile as well.
>>
>>6393605
You can always send an e-mail to GSC support, they answer fairly quick so you'll know right away whether they will help or not. If they say no then yeah, return it.
>>
>>6393594
There's no paint thin enough.
>>
>>6393637
Also I don't want to melt the plastic. I've had that happen with the wrong paint wrong plastic.
>>
>>6392948
Is that the old 1st release Part 3 Joseph? It was notorious for fragile hip joints due to unexpected/bad joint design.

Not in my case, I got a lot of them and most of them are fine unless you are ham hands.

Plus, they're so cheap you can find a replacement part for each one.

What I fear about buying a figure is it will broke the moment I twist or move it. Plus they are expensive and you can't kitbash it with others.

Please lurk more since it's obvious you're new. They're trying to give you advice on how to make it look better because it looks patchy, no matter how tumblr speshul you think it is. You can learn from other people that do this stuff on the regular because it sounds like you're making a lot of excuses for your laziness.

Former owner of a Fraulein Asuka. What you want to do is drop the tiniest dab of superglue into the elbow recess before putting the arm back together. Make sure to gently work the joint as the glue sets to ensure that the rest of the joint doesn't lock up.

You may have to do this more than once. Mine broke again after the first gluing, but stayed in place after the second.

I broke the elbow on my Jacket figure 15 minutes after unpacking it like a goddamn retard. If I had just looked at my damn e-mail the Kickstarter explicitly says that the elbow joint is a bit of a bitch and they have a video tutorial on how not to break it.
Thankfully he has the jacket, so I just reattatched it with some tape around and now people who see it are none the wiser.

Luckily I was aware of this when I got my Helmet figure cause he has bare sleeves
>>

there aren't bootlegs of femto mate. and i already stated my reasoning for going with ebay, cause custom charges are a fuckin bitch over here. doesn't matter now anyway cause i've sent it back for a refund.
>>
>>6394676
I didn't think the BvS Batman had any problems. He's the only mafex I've purchased that didn't suffer any floopy joints or breakage. I've purchased them all except for the Jokers.

You can probably contact GSC, but lately they have been more anal. They will ask for a photo of the box back, front and UPC code and a receipt. HOWEVER, if anon really needs a receipt from GSC, someone can probably provide one. I bought the figure from amiami, so I could help you out.
>>
>>6398342
Hobby drill. Costs about five bucks and then you can drill out almost anything. Just make sure to use the right size bit. Once you have a hole in the center of it, you should be able to work it out with a pin.
>>
>>6398342
>took a shelf dive and the peg for his stand broke off inside the hole.
First of all, the entire point of a stand is to keep the item from taking shelf dives. You should probably rethink collecting figures.

Right on the otherhand had leather armor bits all over that decided now was a good time to rot.
