Which Iron Man figure would you think is the best? I have one Hot Toys figure (ED 209) so I'm no opposed to getting another one but I can only get a single one.

Out of my price range but its amazing. I'm looking around $300 or less. I'm OK with a statue but leaning towards a HT one right now.
>>
>>6388675
well it depends what iron man design you like.
hot toys usually goes for $350

Been a while since I've seen this thread.
My favourite design IM figure is the sentinel armorize. A shame I'm a scalefag and this would be tall for anything I own. So I've settled on SHF MkIV

Mezco, if only because it's one of the few high end toylines that dont only make movieshit and the fact its in scale with other toys.

Who knows how good it'll be though, but I'm excited to see what variants they'll be making with him.
>>
>>6389045
Loved the original armor from when I was a kid so comic accurate is on the table but I'm leaning more towards Captain America Civil War. That Sentinel figure is impressive
>>
>>6388619
>best looking
HT
>best articulation and quality
SHF
>>
The recently released Mark 46 Civil War Iron Man is impressive. Can go with that or the new one from Homecoming. They're both the same mold but different color scheme.

Leaning towards this figure even though it's crazy expensive.
>>
>>6390390
I try my best to forget the Iron Man 3 and the Homecoming armor. By far the worst ones to me. IM3 looks like he's on safari and wearing khakis. The homecoming armor looks like he forgot to paint some of it.

Civil War and Ultron are in the running for now. If not those then one of the originals from IM1 or 2

Anyone mind giving some feedback on Sentinel's? I really want to get one but that damn price tag is ridiculous. I'm fairly certain that if they were to remove the LED gimmicks the price would go down for at least $50.

If I were to get one it would either be Iron Patriot or Shape Changing so if you've got any of those two it'd be greatly appreciated to hear some honest opinions.

>'m fairly certain that if they were to remove the LED gimmicks the price would go down for at least $50.

nope, if they remove the LED, the price will change at most $10, that's how much it really effect the design.

you can get the iron patriot for $130 on ebay.

The shape changing armor feels very light, but the paint job is excellent.
>>
>>6389058
I'm glad mezco is doing something that isn't with cloth goods, and i'm ecstatic that they are doing the retro design but I feel like they did a piss poor job.

They should have just ditched the belt looking piece and had the red circles hang off the hips lower, right now it looks like he is wearing a massive diaper. Not to mention the greeble looks terrible, they should have went with minimal detail like the classic design.
>>
>>6391415
Go for Iron Patriot, the Extremis mould it's based on is great. There's a couple cheap on Mandarake the last time I checked.

>>6390951
I own plenty of both and SHFs can't hold a candle to the Sentinel figures.
>>
>>6391487
>I own plenty of both and SHFs can't hold a candle to the Sentinel figures.
Except when it comes to quality and poseability. Oh and looks too.
>>
>>6391676
glad to know that you like your SHF.
but what you like doesn't make it fact.
>>
What's the best 1:12 scale?
>>
>>6391915
Ta. Damn I just need to open an account with SHF, they're dominating everything now.
>>
>>6391915
Name calling sounds more desperate to me , but what do i know , i only own some shf ironman , figma iron man , sentinel iron man and revoltech iron man.

Im not pure and hardcore shf like you.
>>
>>6392158
You wanna play this game? Good. I've owned HT, Mafex, Figma, SHF, STN (both Re:Edit and Armorize), Revoltech and ML and guess what? You're still wrong. The Re:Edit feel like cheap shit, they have terrible proportions, scale with nothing and most of them are a pita to pose. Get over it.
>>
>>6391915
Will the mezco be in scale with my SHFigmas?
>>
>>6392219
So which would you recommend? (OP here)

>>6392224
Not exactly but SHF/figma are sometimes not even in scale with other figures from the same line so...
>>
>>6392219
I too have owned all of the ones you listed, and the Sentinel figures are my favourites.
>>
>>6391018
You won't regret it. I have the 43 and it's amazing.
>>
Are the Power Pose figures any good? They're fairly cheap compared to the full figures. I don't repose my figures after they're on the shelf.
>>
>>6392403
There's no problem with having favorites but we're talking about which are the best ones.
>>6392408
>defends the obviously inferior option
>calls others autistic
Okay
>>
>>6393015
The SHF are far from the best. The only truly excellent figures they released were the original Mk VI and War Machine, with the Mk III as a slight return to form. All subsequent releases have been hollow, gappy figures often with bizarre articulation limitations, inconsistent paint finishes and, in the case of Mks 44, 45, 46, 47, WM Mk II and WM Mk III, totally inaccurate to the screen version due to working from early concept art to rush a figure to market. Everything since the 42 has effectively been a reskin of the same figure, all with the same tired, ugly effects parts.

Best for appearance: Hot Toys
Best for balance of appearance, articulation and engineering: Sentinel Re:Edit
Best for 1/12 scalefags: Comicave Omni Class
Honourable mention: King Arts

SHF don't even get a look-in nowadays.
>>
>>6393012
If you like the pose. Yes. Their paint is just as good as the $350 figure. I don't like them because they won't fit inside a detolf and I hate to have expensive figures outside of glass. I do have 2 $500 statues outside of glass though, so I don't know why I say thay that
>>
>>6393098
He isn't that wrong though. I love the Figuart Iron Man figures but non have ever come close to the posing and fun I had with the VI/War Machine combo. It's being a shame all they included were repulsor/blast effects instead of swappable parts like air brakes with the later releases.
>>
>>6388619
>so I'm no opposed to getting another one but I can only get a single one
Impossible.
once you get a Hot Toys you end up getting at least 8.
Im on about 13 right now with starboost on his way

Not sure if it counts because you want iron man but War Machine is the best iron man figure
>>
the mk 46 is fucking amazing

>best design in my opinion
>best articulation so far
>best headsculpt in my opinion
>most LEDs
>comes with captain america helmet for posing options
>best battle damaged chest with gash through the arc reactor

if you compare apples to apples with the 44, the only thing you miss out on are the pink lazer beams he had in age of ultron, and they just look like beam sabers
>>
>>6393138
I'm really trying to be good. Most of what I own are old toys from when I was a kid with some random shit I find cool. I bought the Hot Toys ED 209 and an MP10 Optimus. Just found my old Dragonzord and Stay Puft in my parents shed. Just like my ED 209 I've always wanted a legit Iron Man suit. Loved the old comics growing up and the MCU more recently.
>>
>>6393196
Also bonus points for best performance by RDJ as Tony Stark right next to his performance in Iron Man 1.
>>
>>6388669

one more fucking payment fuck i've been waiting so long for this
>>
>>6393349
Start a thread when you get it, I'm excited to see what it looks like in person. I really want it, but I have absolutely no space for it
>>
>>6392323
Do you prefer look or playability? MCU or comics?
>>
>>6393599
Look I guess. I don't really do much with my figures once I set them up on the shelf. I like realism accessories LEDs and size. I prefer MCU at this point but the earlier post of the more recent comicbook Tony from Sentinel was awesome. I'm leaning towards the Mark XLV from hot toys.
>>
>>6393630
Hot Toys definitely seems like the best option in your case.
>>
Riri Williams Iron Heart when?
>>
I've had Hot Toys. They are great, once they started using that candy coat on the suits. They just keep getting better and better.
>>
>>6394316
Can't wait for that armor. Hopefully it's fully painted unlike the Homecoming
>>
>>6394316
Oh fuck is this mark 50?
>>
Just ran across an issue. I thought they were the same but turns out there's a QS006 and a MMS300D11 Mark XLV Iron Man. Which one is the one to get?
>>
>>6394514
One's a 1/4 scale and one's a 1/6 scale. Get the 1/4 if you have room.
>>
>>6394414
civil war - 46
homecoming - 47
>>
>>6394713
But that isn't the Homecoming suit. Plus the file name does say Infinity War.
>>
>>6394728
i know. 47 is just a repainted 46

what i implied is that the next movie (infinity war) would be mark 48, not 50
>>
>>6394729
Ah my bad.
>>
>>6394738
no hard feelins
