The Revo has neat accessories, but is pretty much in a 1/14 scale and looks awkward with any other figure. Didn't age well at all.
That said, Lupin and Fujiko seemed to shelfwarm, so I'm not expecting any more releases or recolors. RIP Goemon Ishikawa XIII.

Yes to both, but I also have enough figuarts that differences between styles doesn't bug me much anymore. She's a pretty great toy though, her design has a lot of things going on that are easy to fuck up but they got nearly everything right. About the only thing I wish she had is a thigh swivel, and even then it's something I rarely find myself hurting for.

It's funny how I was worried about her face, while ryu's ended up being the stinker

Yes5 has the best articulation out of all of them if you take off their skirts, and their faces aren't bad except for Urara who I really need to get a 1/12 scale paper bag for. And they have really nice butts.

The newer Precure SHFs aren't good for anything besides looking pretty on a shelf and costing twice as much as they're worth.

The DokiDoki and Smile releases are high quality stuff. Suite felt like a minor downgrade since they removed some articulation and went back to solid plastic skirts.

I think it's very unfortunate the GoPris feel like mini statues since the show had some amazing fight scenes but the designs just couldn't make the leap into figures. I still bought them but they're definitely not as fun to mess around with as older releases.

They could have if Bandai made the skirts out of multiple jointed/hinged pieces, but that would cost more to produce than just one big plastic piece so of course they didn't do that. And then you'd have people on futaba complaining that all the joints look ugly because apparently action figure collectors care more about looks than functionality these days. I remember reading one post about Muse that said "she can't be put in action poses but she's cute so it's okay."

It was a widespread issue back when she came out, as the connection between the ball and the shoulder joint was too tight. Would cause the shoulder joint to sheer in half like this.

Okay, could use some help. Not a huge toy collector but I collect some stuff, please bear with me and my ignorance.

I'm a fan of Lupin III and am interested in buying the figurarts of the cast. Originally I was hoping for a green jacket version of Lupin and similar classic versions of the others. Sadly it seems this is unlikely to happen so I have decided to go with the blue jacket series versions. My main focus is Lupin and Jigen, being the main two. Lupin isn't a problem, he is common and most places seem to have him on sale which is nice. My problem is with Jigen, who has been hell to find. I don't know why they made the fucking second most important character a exclusive and not Fujiko but they did. Every website either flat out doesn't have him or is charging around $100 for him. Typically my go to site is Hobbylink Japan but they don't even have him up. Am I absolutely fucked or can anyone suggest a place where he is a bit more affordable?

I hear that the Lupin line did pretty bad for sales (or hardly sold) and Goemon is still unknown for a release date so a re-release or recolor is probably not going to happen for the likes of Jigen or Lupin.

If anything, maybe a little luck may come your way if you stalk other sites like Jungle Japan or a lower price Mandarake listing since I scored Jigen for 6k some time back. Though I don't know why they gave him such a release status if you have stuff like his eyes not being painted for side profiles or glances or even giving him a right trigger finger hand to use his hat grip hand.

Superman would also be an instant buy from me, since there are truly no good 1/12 superman figures and I actually liked Man of Steel. Agreed. I'm not too keen on DCEU Superman (yet) but I'll take quality Superman figures where I can get them.

The DC Films Superman figure is about seven inches tall so it may not qualify as 1/12 scale for you but this is the best Superman figure I've found that approximates that size.

I don't think there's enough demand for them, and Bandai's busy with Star Wars, Marvel, Animu and Toku stuff. I would imagine they would have to renegotiate a deal for the license too. Sounds like a lot of trouble for perhaps not much return on investment.
I have no data for that, though. Just my instinct as a collector. Maybe they will; I'd like if they did and everyone who missed out before could get in. I would absolutely love if they did a re-sculpt in Discovery-era outfits.

As long as you're willing top blow hundreds on DP figures, you could take a look at the Medicom Real Action Hero 1/6th scale figures. I have the RAM Suit versions (pic related), but they've made multiple releases with different outfits.

Ended up being a huge fucking success to the point that UStream's website ended up crashing because so many people wanted to watch the airing episode.

They're all super cheap, except the open face versions. And even then, they dropped down in price (they go for 8-9k now, can't remember how expensive they were back then).

Getting the first release of Tiger and Bunny back then was a pain, they sold out pretty quickly at its hype. Don't know why Bandai decided to release the last two members so late, women don't care for the female characters too much.

I wonder what's every toy company's obsession with turning the shoulders into outright flappy armor like it's separate from the suit. It's clearly shown there to be padded and completely covering the biceps down to the elbow, so why couldn't they replicate that?

Still, seeing a review on Youtube that displayed the figure in motion had me pleasantly surprised, especially with the care taken to ensure parts of the suit would contrast against itself and not be a mess of matte black paint.

Look for an archive of 2ch's SF figuarts thread or the past 2-3 figuarts thread since I posted Chunner head swaps with figma adult Mikuru and figma Sonico swimsuit swaps there and they came from 2ch. You can try it out but it's hard to pull out figuarts heads and you might risk on breaking something so do it with caution if you'll do it.

Better than a plastic cape still,, but they did a lot of dumb things with it.

They used flat metal strips rather than wires, and they are too strong so they fight back when you bend them and try to straighten.

Otherwise the figure is great.

I only have Blossom and Marine. They're ok figures, definetely better than Fresh and Suite, but I still prefer Max Heart's articulations. The biggest problem is the hair being to heavy to keep the head straight, also Marine's hair limits the articulation (I guess Moonlight have the same problem). However they come with a decent amount of accesories, so if you like the series/charachters I'd say go for them.

Did anyone else buy Super Sailor Mercury? The paint app on her lower legs is so fucking bad I had to double-check and make sure I didn't buy from someone dodgy (direct preorder from Amazon, was worried I'd third partied it by mistake). Has all the proper stickers and so on, so it's legit. But it looks like they had a middle school kid paint the skin tone on. No pics because it's dark and I can't get a clear shot, but you can see visible texture/brush strokes, and the colour is a shade darker and pinker than the thigh.
