Just received my TP Link and Zelda. When I opened Zelda I noticed she was missing a piece of her crown. Based on the other side of her head, this isn't a piece that's supposed to come off, and it wasn't in the package anywhere. Back when the Figurarts SSJ Awakening Goku came out I made the mistake of ordering from Kirin Hobby and after some back and forth with them thru email and only ever getting told that they were getting their shipment "soon" I received Goku a full year later.

I'm not sure if this was an isolated case or not, but I highly recommend to everyone to look anywhere else they can before going to Kirin Hobby. You're better off just trying to find one on Mandarake.

Got my Zelda today! This is my first figma with the improved wrists and I'm really liking them a lot. It almost makes me want to replace my Saber and Link with the newer versions, but I can't quite bring myself to buy the same thing twice. I do wish that Zelda's skirt and lower body in general allowed for some more dynamic posing, you could remove her legs completely and you wouldn't notice unless you checked. At least she stands just fine on her own.

Fuck USPS anon here. Tried filing a claim online with USPS only to find out I can't. Went to local post office in person only for them to tell me I have to do it online, explained that it would not let me so was given a "special" customer service number that worked exactly the same as their normal one. Was on hold for an hour to finally get someone who tried to help me out only for them to realize in the end that they couldn't help me and I'd have to contact the original shipper. Contacted the shipper only for them to tell me I need to file a claim with the post office first before they can do anything. Decided to buy some glue and just fix the broken accessory myself. I wouldn't go THAT far, but it is limited to a fault. She's still a great figure overall.
Somebody on Futaba posted these (and a few more, which can't find right now), where they took off the hard plastic skirt, and replaced it with cloth.
It's a low tier customization, and I suppose one could do better if they took some time. But it's an idea worth looking into if a person wants to give their Luka a little more pose-ability.

Fuck yeah this. I'm so glad it's coming with the regular Black Knight Sword. Played Demons and DS1-3 but DS1 was my first.

Feeling of getting it after killing very first BK was incredible and it carried me through the first playthrough as melee character having the 'real' souls experience no magical faggot spam. Stopped using it but still love this reliable fucker and always keep one in inventory in all DS games.

Just because you played before DaS, which I did too, doesn't mean everyone who came after was a dumb normie, or that some of those who started at DeS aren't normies. The thing is the Souls series are more about lore and world building than character building, so as much as I agree and would love to have many of their characters get figs, it's more over design than anything else (I don't care for Eileen nor Ornstein but would love to have either, for example). And it's not about elitism, just common sense. Dark Souls being multiplat and having amuch wider reception made a lot of people (even those who hardly play games) know about the series, and Solaire turning into a pseudo-meme is just an the aftereffect. For me, if I had a figma of Havel for example, whose armor is pretty uninteresting to my eye compared to others, I would appreciate that figure just because I would think of his secret cache of God-killing weapons in Anor Londo. You WERE them. Or you fought them to the death. Those weapons and pieces of gear were your faithful companions in a challenging game without a billion checkpoints and the toggle to easy option. The lore was a cherry on top that made you even more attached to those things.

If I had a Havel figma I'd remember all those fun times I had as a fucking Havelmonster(tm). Cheesing in the PvP arenas (lvl 650 vs lvl 120 pairing totally legit) and tanking the shit out of bosses alike. We probably all tried on the signature Elite Knight, Faraam, Hunter or whatever outfits at one time or another and we remember.

If I had the fume sword I'd remember the story behind it and the rough time soloing the boss with a 93% fail rate to get it.

Shit that's hard earned and helped you survive brutal bosses or attempted gankings grow on you more. Some helper NPCs who were part of that slog become memorable too like Solaire.

Quit trying to start shit. All these accessories are highly detailed and fully painted. I like GI Joe but don't pretend they didn't re-use weapons all the time and very few had detailed paint on them if any paint at all. Mezco's new stuff is the same story. They re-use several buck bodies and just put cloth over them and you get some new head/hand/feet sculpts. Plus they do variants, repaints and con exclusives to get more out of the molds.

Trying to compare that shit to a one off figure with a unique sculpt and a bunch of stuff is about as disingenuous as it gets.

I NEED a Satsuki, I regret not getting her a couple months ago when she was around 5k in Mandy and now the lowest price is 6500yen and shes all sold out.

Are there any other places where you would recommend searching for one? WTF is the bonus item included in some of the Mandy listings? 9k seems steep AF for a lil baggie

Dude, just saying that you're not really getting a lot fr your money, since you're already paying a lot more and that those accessories aren't even a lot anyway.

Also, these accessories still have to be made in the first place and had to be included with the figure first. So it's not like every single thing is a re-re-re-reproduction.
I'm in no illusion that stuff like this costs 10-5x less, but when Figmas havebeen showing up with unpainted guns like this....

Time to cancel my amiami order I guess. I don't feel like paying 4000+ yen to ship one when I could ship two at HLJ for the same price. Even less if I combine it with other stuff I currently have in my private warehouse. Last time AmiAmi did a shit job packing my Femto's anyway and the shipping was still sky high in comparison. I did a direct comparison of the order figure for figure and it was like an extra 3000 yen at AmiAmi despite the piss poor packing job with almost no protective padding at all where my stuff wasn't damaged by sheer luck.

HLJ has discounted EMS shipping. That's why if you go on HLJ right now it will list Femto as 3,060 yen to ship via EMS vs the 4,000+ that AmiAmi was charging back when it came out. More importantly HLJ packs things intelligently to minimize damage but reduce costs further because air pillows or shrink wrapping figures to cardboard is WAY cheaper than packing paper.

AmiAmi isn't overcharging and I wasn't implying they do. They aren't like Nippon-Yassan who actually charges MORE than the postage marked on the box. Just saying HLJ is way cheaper for bigger bulkier figures or large shipments. My main complaint was that I paid an extra 3000 yen and the padding wasn't even good. All the paper was on the top where it was fucking useless and none of it was at the sides where I would have gladly paid an extra 300-500 yen to get some protection.
