The Titan comics design of Ramjet and the two coneheads released during ROTF being all different from each other in the gave me that idea though I would still need to scratch build Ramjet and try and custom a random Starscream out of its normal proportions because of Thundercracker having somewhat of a different build that Starscream.

Alright so the biggest spoiler is that

So I had a thought, g2 laser optimus IS possible as a masterpiece figure.

Ok, we're probably only getting 2 more TR boxsets and we already have some guesses of what's coming with them:

-Two metal head characters (unknown)
-Remaining Clones
-Two unknown deluxes, which could be anyone even counting all the deluxes that haven't used their retool face(Mindwipe, Wolfwire, Highbrow, Scourge, Perceptor, Doublecross, etc...), Nautica proved they're willing to make entirely new faces and parts to the molds.
-2 Voyagers, but I'm sure one of those is G2 Megatron.
-2 Leaders, with Godbomber almost certainly being one of them, and since Sixshot has already been used, that only leaves the cassete players, Overlord, and Sky Shadow. Since I have no idea what they could turn Overlord into, I'm guessing Sky Shadow will be repatainted as someone else, unless they take the easy way out and just release Twincast or SoundBlaster (this is assuming they don't use the possible Leader for wave 6)

I'm really disappointed the initial image of Takara Trypticon didn't end up being used for the final release. One of the promo images looked like they used a dark, almost black, grey but the images from the toy show make it look indistinguishable from the Hasbro version and it doesn't seem to have anything new, unlike the past titans.

From what I remember in my gunpla days acrylic is easy to work with but is weak in grip strength, if you plan to treat them as statues or use to touch up small sections that aren't handled ie hub caps it'll be fine.

Enamels are slightly better but take longer to dry, a cheap solution for a lacquer based topcoat is to visit your local hardware store and ask for a good plastic safe lacquer spray paint, just get some distance when you spray and shake the can well.

What do you plan to do, I have a repainted tr galvatron head painted and he's holding fine with acrylic detailing (ie face plate silver), tr fig legs in black for megatron look etc) with a laquer topcoat.

Right off the bat I'll need to make claws to replace Triggerhappy's feet, the cobra-like beast mode head, maybe a swivel/hinge for the beast legs to move on if I don't want massive shoulder pauldrons made from his legs and then of course change the chest detailing a bit to resemble the toy more.

After fucking around with Mindwipe's arms for a bit I couldn't really come up with anything I liked the look of, going off the lineart the legs are longer than what I could do with MW's arms and adding other shit made for some horrible forearm kibble with a fairly unstable beast mode due to the weight of Triggerhappy's legs there.
Hadn't considered using just SC's arms actually I'll see how that looks, part of me is screaming MUH GEEWUN though and wants the beast legs hanging off the back.

At least with someone like Onslaught he's a different alt-mode and there's distinct differences in his model compared to Longhaul.

The real big issue with DOTM is that it didn't run with all the potential the first movie set up, and its still something we're trying to rebound from to this day. When all is said and done, the 2007 movie did a solid job. We can complain that they glossed over too much mythos or the Decepticons didn't get enough characterization, but for a risky first movie, I think it was respectable.
The second movie, though, had to run with all that set up, and feel flat. The first movie ends with some interesting threads; Optimus calling more Autobots, Starscream retreating. Then , in movie 2, we jump to the Autobots already having arrived, with little to no explanation as to what they're personalities are, and just serve as rank fillers, and Starscream with a bunch of tattoos that aren't explained, taking orders from another Decepticon leader.

Look at this thread, where people complain about Decepticon models being repeated without explanation, even though clones, drones, and palette swaps have been a thing in every series since G1. If they bothered to explain, say, the Deccepticons brought along Constructicons in their second invasion, and used the toyline explanation that they where an entire faction and any number of them could combine, that would account for all the doubles and look-alikes.

I asked him for updates and he'd either pull some shit like, "lmao I got other shit to work on." Or not even respond. Okay, so I realize it's a little stupid, but after getting Brawn as a Titan Master and then Brawn as a Legends figure, I absolutely had to know what it would look like to make a Headmaster Brawn.

The first thing I had to do was very carefully cut the hood hinge out in such a way that I could run a pin through it and retain both hinges.

Old head stays in fine, I made a headmaster-shaped peg out of a chunk of styrene, and screwed it into the base of the original head's neck.

Difference is Beast Wars fleshed out all of its cg models. The biggest offender for cg waste was Tigerhawk since he only showed up for 3 episodes and wasn't all that important. Revenge of the Fallen added Jolt at the last minute just to promote a car.

Even on a technical level, Mainframe was on the cutting edge of commercial cg and had to stretch every asset to its limits working on a shoe string budget with a franchise that was one foot in the grave. Dreamworks and Paramount are global film studios with billions of dollars and a twenty year upgrade in tech and they still can't be bothered to figure out good robot design, let alone Transformer design. I can't say Beast Wars' visuals have aged well, but the designs are at least memorable and distinct. On a story level it's leagues better than these Bay trainwrecks.

Oh shit, my mistake. I forgot, movie first, Animated second. Well, still. It was a pretty solid story/artifact they created for the sake of driving the film's conflict. A Matrix of Leadership seems much less important of an item than the all encompassing life bearer of their race.

On that note I seriously hope that the Allspark is still relevant in TLK. Like the Creators made the Allspark that in turn gave life to new Cybertronians and kept their planet alive.

Okay, well saying that a single page from an IDW comic (which to my personal knowledge has nothing to do with Fall of Cybertron) was the inspiration for a Fall of Cybertron repaint is kind of a stretch.

The comic came out in 2010, FoC and it's toys were in 2012. I say they most likely did the Ruination repaint as a means to make an Autobot adversary for their retail Bruticus. If you can prove me wrong, that this wasn't just a simple repaint for Bruticus to fight, go for it.

Our wal-marts (2 of them) have had shit for shit for months, like they purposely left the shelves empty until TLK. Except for a half dozen broadsides at both stores that no one is buying. They are starting to stock TLK stuff but no one is buying it, so it's collecting dust with the MMPR and voltron shit.

Our target though has been restocking like crazy, and selling out just as fast. They have burned through multiple cases of wave 4, and are now restocking with leftover cases of wave 1, 2, & 3. Target never has voyagers, I guess they sell out too quick.

I haven't seen any of the new Legends anywhere since Brawn and Roadburn, and no new titan masters since wave 3, possibly because the collectors in town are desperate and immediately draining Target's shelves every time they restock.
