I might be okay with it if they weren't riding the whole "super-cartoon-accurate" schtick right now. Especially since Megatron has shows they're getting back to absolute clusterfuck levels of transformation engineering in the name of accuracy. I suppose it's for the best, I've been more interested in the Takara Legends releases anyway. The Transformations on the retail stuff have been simple yet clever, and Takara adding Targetmasters and shit is fun on a bun.

MP Artfire is pretty fuckin' based, though. I suppose if he's my last, I'll be going out on a high note.

The yellow is all off, it looks like the standard version rather than the concept camaro's more orange tinted yellow. Rock on. I fucking loved the Beast Wars cartoon. Saw bits of it as a kid, and watched it 5 years ago or so with some friends all the way through. It's easily one of the best Transformers TV series, so much fun, but I just have no interest in organic animal Transformer toys, so I haven't bought any of the MPs yet.

Nonnef had some MP10 replacement eyes for sale but it looks like they're sold out again.

You may as well just take out the eye piece and paint over it with some dollar store acrylic paint or something if it bothers you enough to want to replace it. It would be cheaper that way anyway.

Prowl and Streak had different, animation inspired heads.

I'm a huge fan of the Smokescreen diaclone mold, because I had one before Transformers. Wasn't very happy with his MP's cartoon head, but it still felt 'diaclone' so it's bearable.

Sunstreaker is too far into the Sunbow end of the spectrum. Inferno at least included a toy-esque helmet that makes him a bit more compatible with the older releases.

Depends on the story and incarnation. I like the more idealistic classic take, but I don't mind IDW's tough space cop turned troubled leader approach.

Though it does seem to me that IDW goes a little far on making nearly every major character an asshole (among other problems), I don't mind IDW Optimus.

Inferno's carton head was pretty much identical to the toy helmet aside from the lack of a silver bit on the center. The Boulder Media Transformers show is under way. Hopefully it looks as good as the designs.

Optimus is full-on Brave. He combines with Rodimus and Lio Prime to form a super robot. Imagine Optimus Prime with a giant lion's head on his chest. Pure Brave design here!

Great take on Soundwave and his team too. They're combiners now. Imagine Soundwave with giant bat wings made from Ratbat. It's sick.
