dude $100 a month is peanuts. Just pace yourself on the figures. That's what I'm doing. IronShell was Jan, Deathclaw Feb, Cybershark was march, bigbite was april, mentarazor was may, this dude will be june.
>>6351536
With combiners you always run the risk of them not being in stock when you can finally nab whatever is the next piece for you, though. Shit, I was thinking of picking some of them up the past few months, but every time I checked, some were out of stock and hadn't come back in.
>>6351560
Pretty sure GCI has them all right now, and TFSource likely has the ones GCI doesn't
>>6351563
GCI?

GCI toys. Small company ran out of texas, super nice owner. Just don't buy his custom parts because the wait line is significantly longer than he will ever probably be able to produce. Also message him on facebook through the store's page, you'll be likely to get some free stuff like decepticon decals if you do.
Has anybody else ever noticed Uniquetoys MP-style figures seem to have overly-long torsos?
I'm legitimately not sure if it's the case or just me.
any info about Susano-o? got noir in a stack and its killing me not being able to ship yet
>>6351516
Ouch. I just built the weapons this morning and I did notice the connection on the pole arm was crazy tight. Might look into doing something about that. Maybe getting a Q-tip in there with some shock oil could make it less frightening.
>>6351359
He's perfect.
>>6351842
Everything has basocally said he is mediocre at best.
I need some good opinions here about an MP Megatron, guys. Should I wait for the Wei Jiang or go for Takara? I just want a good Megatron that I can mess with and still look nice at the end of the day.
I also feel like Wei Jiang will be $100 cheaper.
>>6352014
Avoid Takara like the plague, the thing only looks good from the front and the transformation ruins the paint.
>>6352014
I personally think Takaratron looks extremely great as a robot form, but I don't like the pricetag on him at current. As for Wei Jiangtron, wait for the reviews first. Hell they might even do their oversized Takaratron KO.
I finally got Striker Manus. Cool figure. I don't really care for the way the feet work, though.
>>6352187
I had trouble with the feet at first as well, but then I figure out how everything was supposed to line up and I haven't had a problem since.
Pretty sure they are mistransformed out of the box.
All in all this guy has the best articulation out of any figure I own, Transformers or otherwise.
>>6352014

>>6352560
All tires are in excellent condition except for the one on his right leg wich i also lost over the years.
>TFsource has iron factory shockwave for 25
>BBTS has him for 40
Shit, I didn't need another legends shockwave, but for that cheap I literally can't pass it up. I am kind of curious about what's up with that price though.
Whoever said that I'd love Kultur, you're a Goddamn fucking liar.
"Love" is far too mundane a word for how I feel about him.
His size is just perfect for what I'd want in this kind of character. The fact that even when kneeling he still towers over my shelf's "canon" Megatron tickles me pink.
>>6352617
Chosen Prime has that price too, so it might be some kind of sale thing.
Also, what are tabs on his leg for? Masterpiece compatibility? Also does he have a wist swivel?
>>6352617
Thanks for the tip on that, wasn't gonna preorder the little guy but at that price I feel like its more than worth it.
>>6352443
Really? Wasn't the Edgemaster colors some con exclusive or something?
>>6352639
He looks really good with that Megs too, nice pics.
>>6352639

>bigger then the FT one
>150 bucks cheaper
looks like DX9 finally had it with FT actively sabotaging everyone, but especially them with the constant KOs.
>>6352684
Now to wait for Giga's attempt in 10 years. Neither one does anything for me, just find the style too bland. I preffer Giga and FansHobby aesthetics.
>>6352707
>150 bucks cheaper
>Bigger
Something smells fucky here. Quality has to give somewhere. The hiding face in tank mode is a great idea though. FT is gonna retaliate with some cool extras I bet.
>>6352755
Nah. This is great even as an FT fanboy. This will pressure FT to deliver a better product. I just hope the DX9 one isn't shoddy to meet the lower price point.
>>6352658
I believe the purpose is to be held by their upcoming-at-the-same-time Bruticus (broken up into three $70 sets).
Can't wait for this nigga.

>>6352750
>FT is gonna retaliate with some cool extras I bet.
More like KOing more of DX9's stuff. Or trying to sabotage them more actively. Wouldn't be the first time.
>>6352729
I would rather gladly wait for the Gigapower one then settle for Stacked Boxes: The 500 Bucks Experience.
>>6352804
KOing shit wouldn't matter if they delivered a better quality product. FT is just a bunch of assholes who practice brutal business practices to shove people out of the market. Again, this wouldn't matter if they didn't deliver really good shit that people were okay with waiting on.

>>6352809

>>6352684
I prefer the thinner, more tapered FT crotch and midsection over Gabriel who looks more like a box with limbs. I prefer the longer upper arms/legs on FT as well. I like the pointier yellow knee pads and more clever head engineering on Gabriel though.
>>6352193
Make sure the double hinge is flat to the bottom of the foot. That usually helps me.
Unless you're talking about lining both feet to be level. I can't seem to do that consistently unless I rotate them as far back as they can go, but i'm not sure if that's the correct way to do it
>>6352763
>3P combiner
>not $500
Barely know who Road Ceaser is, yet I'm interested just because he won't be made of wallet rape and they'd have to try to fuck up a 3 'bot combiner. Not that it still can't come out shit, just it's hopefully not gonna.
>>6352899
>not buying an entire combiner team
Now, I'm not the sort of guy who, for example, needs to run out and complete teams, or even buy more than 1 Seeker (shit, the only Seekers I own are the Legends trio, and they're cheap as fuck, or used to be anyway), but even I feel like I'm missing something if I don't get the full team of a combiner.
Of course, this is excepting "extra" members like Not-Predaking's yellow arm who I totally don't give a crap about since he's basically an OC homage. And even if I get the Seacons I'd probably skip the shark guy because TFC kind of fucked his colors and he's the least interesting member.
>>6352830
Yeah, seriously. A friend of mine does design work for a 3rd party company, and he told me some of the shit they've pulled. It explained a lot when I heard that they have a blood feud with DX9 because they snatched one of their designers. Or that DaCaToys was part of their management, until he got caught trying to sell the Weirdwolf design to a KO company. Which is ironic because they're responsible for a lot of the KO stuff out there.
Man I wish I could find the weibo vid that talked about all of this. Either way, Gabriel exists purely to serve as one giant middle finger to Fans Toys.
>>6352943
Could they make any money if it is half the price?
I don't think they are trying to make any profit, but just want to undermine FT.
>>6352943
Christ is Dx9 going to tank the market with no survivors?
>>6352763
Something's off with the proportions of this guy. I think it's that the shoulders aren't wide enough. It almost looks like they're missing some extra pieces to fill them out. Pic related illustrates what I'd be looking for.
Still, the individual members look sweet so I might grab a couple anyway.
>>6352914
I keep missing the boat for combiners because I'm so wary about QC and when a full set is released and seems to be good, I have the urge to buy the whole set at once, which is usually impossible, or I'm apprehensive another, better version will come out. The only one I have is Feral Rex, which I got a good deal on for the set of 6. I wish I could experience the hype of getting a newly released combiner one piece at a time, but I'm always too skeptical.
Any other suggestions for Team Edgelord?

What's the basic consensus on Poseidon? Agesthreeandup running one final spring sale, and bots 1, 3, 5 on sale for $70 a piece (2 & 4 are OOS, and 6 is full price).
Am I in too deep to escape a first foray into 3P combiners (Colossus non-inclusive)?
>>6353336
they aren't over engineered, all of them are very solid, only real complaint about them anyone seems to have is the lower legs are a tad chunky (no articulation problems though) and that many people don't think they have enough paint for what they are. IMO I love them and own 5/6th of the set, bought them all at retail price. I think for $70 go for it!
>>6352996

>>6353336
Possibly the best full package combiner so far official or turd. The alt modes are fun and not throwaway, the robot modes work well. The gun mode is throwaway without fanmoding but all do the arms and legs well, though some are better at certain things. As a standalones, they're fairly good with Deathclaw coming out on top as the best of the bots in every mode. Pick him up if nothing else. Bar issues holding the gun modes member, the joints are excellent. My only other experience with tfc is picking up engraver and immediately selling it.
The transformation from arm to leg to robot might eat you up because of robot mode knee positioning shenanigans. They come with a metric ton of extra parts that need to sit around with some things that are unnecessary. The combiner can't hold up another member in gun mode with one arm. The head fix to make the combiner head pop forward requires you to do some serious work on replacing and knocking out the pin and is not worth the hassle if you don't know what you are doing. They individual bots lack paint despite a lot of color breakup are overpriced at $100. $70 is great, $60 is perfect.

I guess the issues that always come up are space & finance. If I get the 3 limbs here, plus the other 2 & torso from GCI (which seems to have both best prices & in stocks), I'm looking at a purchase ranking over $540; or around $350 if I just get the torso.
Contrasting, Iron Factory has their Bruticus coming out later this year, with a now price-reduced Shockwave to pair. And that would run about $240 in total.

It's not bullshit. That was them, delibrately trying to dick over DX9. Maketoys was a bonus.
>>6353600
>I've never heard about them ko-ing stuff before. Please expand.
Okay, you know all those MP KOs? Usually they happen because the KO makers directly buy or even outright steal the CADs. It's only sometimes 'lunchbox specials'. Some of the FT people did this for a side profit, like DaCaToys, but there are two things you need to know about FT:
1. They are intent on being the dominant market force and do not tolerate ANY competition.
2. They are extremely petty.
So competition from DX9 was already something they were pissed at. But then DX9 'stole' one of their designers, and it's been personal ever since. It's why so much of their stuff in particular has been KOed in general lately, and the whole reason why Gabriel exists: As one giant 'FUCK. YOU.' to Fans Toys. Also why Open Play exists, and why their Springer is the cheapest on the market.
>>6353606
Some other shit FT pulled:
>Distribution sabotage. For example, they bought up a large amount of MMC stock to sell it to some vendors below retail value. This made them look bad with retailers who thought they had struck a deal with those who got the 'discount'.
>Have tried to scalp designers from other companies, threatened them that they would regret it if they didn't switch.
>Treat designers like shit with shit pay.
>Undermine competition. Either by announcing their own versions even if the market is flooded. Or more extreme, with shell companies that release KOs.
As far as I know no firebombing though.
>>6353912
The god bomber feet are barely strong enough to support PM prime alone, much less when you staple two+ add on kits to it. If this doesn't come with replacement ratchets then it will implode under all the extra weight.
Also;
>Import two Takara leaders for 60-100 bucks a piece for God Bomber
>Buy two DLC kits for 20-50 bucks a piece
>You're now at least 150 in the hole for something that poses like shit and can't even stand under it's enhanced girth
Why.
>>6353917
blood transformers
>>6353917
>DX9 is trying to screw over FT by making the same figure as them
I hardly see FT shitting the bed because a B tier company decides to square up with them, regardless of who stole/sabotaged who. I know Gabriel is being released waaaaay below Terminus' price point but I doubt that will be enough to stop Terminus from being sold.
I am fully aware I'm sucking FT dick when I say this but the bottom line is just quality. I have never held a bad DX9 toy, but I have also never held a stellar DX9 release either.
I'm curious why FT feels the need to be such backstabbing kikes when they don't really need to resort to it. Their stuff is good enough to drive others out of the market.
>>6353924
>Why.
Because TAKARA ALWAYS WINS
>>6353917
>>Distribution sabotage. For example, they bought up a large amount of MMC stock to sell it to some vendors below retail value. This made them look bad with retailers who thought they had struck a deal with those who got the 'discount'.

>>Treat designers like shit with shit pay.
>>Undermine competition. Either by announcing their own versions even if the market is flooded. Or more extreme, with shell companies that release KOs
I love most FT toys, some are even my favorites but I''m genuinely interested in this stuff and these things would influence my future purchase decisions if these things are true.
The above mentioned things sound like petty things to do but how am I supposed to believe them as these stories are so easily fabricated by anyone who doesn't like FT for whichever reason
>>6354009
I've always held a conspiracy that FT is actually Takara Tomy. Their shit is so good and accurate to the designs. It would also seem useful for TT to have a proxy company act like a bunch of assholes to bully other companies into submission.
>>6353924

>>6352196
Is he really worth it? How does he scale with MP Soundwave?
>>6352684
Head sculpt looks nicer on the DX9, though I prefer the rest of FT's but not to the point where i'd pay $150 more.
>>6351486
I want to get on board with this but I'm so fucking tired of paying full price for everything only to see it clearanced a year or two later.
>>6354235
I don't own MP Soundwave, so I'm not sure, but yeah he is worth it. Multiple face plates, good articulation, chunky beefy look, easily the least complicated Megatron transformation and looks good from all sides.
Downside is probably for me, that he's covered in silver paint. It's not bad quality or anything, but any little scuff or scratch you get on this guy is gonna show.
>>6354262
It's funny because the good stuff rarely goes on sale or gets clearance'd. All you ever see going on sale often is the shit stuff no one wants. Thats why most of TFC's combiners are always on deep discounts, for example.
>>6354285
>All you ever see going on sale often is the shit stuff no one wants
That was true a few years ago, but now with third party companies pumping out more stock, the bigger brands always end up on clearance.
I can't remember the last time I payed full price for a FT/MT/MMC release.
>>6354389
>I can't remember the last time I payed full price for a FT/MT/MMC release.
Where are you shopping then, because I never see the good stuff on sale anywhere. And I mean a real sale, not "this newly released $150 product we're offering for $145" because that shit is not a sale.
aw shit they did it
Looks like they went with silver.

>>6354836

If they're TT then why the fuck have they had such a difficult time sculpting faces?!
Don't get me wrong, FT is the gold standard for 3P and I have a ton of their releases, but the faces can be weak.
Also, kinda bums me out that they might be backstabbing dicks who pay their ppl shit.
>>6354985
>Also, kinda bums me out that they might be backstabbing dicks who pay their ppl shit
Well, if it helps, all of the official TF's are probably assembled in factories where conditions are so bad they put suicide nets outside of it in case any of them gets the bright idea to jump.
>>6354235
He's MP scale and fits with Soundwave. I have him. he's freaking great and absolutely aces for the price.
I picked up a Fansproject Colossus (with Onsalught Vortex and Brawl) set for $40 today.
I like it! It's old! These figures make me appreciate Iron Factory's output a lot more, and weirdly enough it seems like these two might end up in the same scale for their Brutici.
Did I do okay on the price?
>>6355049
>these two might end up in the same scale for their Brutici
How big is IF Bruticus supposed to be?
>>6355049
If you scored the entire combiner and kit for $40, that's an amazing price.

>>6355399
Couldn't be too hard to make an H tank and a traffic cone temple from a big bot like omega though.
Sorta flew under the radar with all the Omega Wars, Gorillas, and upgrade kits.
>>6356220
I believe someone mentioned it here briefly, but yeah, I'm glad they're releasing it. Kind of on the fence about it though mainly because I already have most of the official WFC/FoC figures and they actually scale better with PX's Grimlock than their own offerings. Kind of hoping someone makes undersized KOs of them someday, but I shouldn't hold my breath.
>>6352686

>>6356381
I still don't care for how he turned out.
>>6356381
I still think he looks bad. Honestly, he's a hype train I wish I could get on, everyone who has him seems to love him but I can't get past it.
>>6356381
I remember people bitching about the mask and the hands from the test copy when they were so floppy they couldn't hold shit.
>>6356381
He looks okay, just not my cup of tea. I was initially hyped on him but something about his lanky arms and fuckhuge gun don't mix well to me. More power to the folks who like him though, only DJD member released thusfar I like is Cynicus. Skinny gun for a skinny guy, makes sense.
>>6356220
I think its a bit of a shame they're not going for the WfC design. I think its the stronger design of the two.
>>6356381
His face still looks godawful retarded and the eyes not showing through the mask really really annoy me. But Im holding out hope they're still gonna come out with that revised head they said they would sometime back in the MMC facebook group. I would definitely enjoy this figure more if the fucking head looked better. Right now I see him on my shelf and I'm like "wow I love that figure and everything is pretty nice about him...except for the head, what a shame".
>>6356487
>His face still looks godawful retarded
What is wrong with his face?
>>6356483
I agree. I really wish they did a Voyager WFC Prime since that design is aces. But both the WFC designs have decent toys. Going the FoC route makes sense as far as covering bases goes. Though that sort of gets thrown out the window thanks to them just doing the seekers.
I'm still waiting on a fucking Ratchet or Ironhide. Goddamn they even did a perceptor for some reason first.
>>6356509
The upper portion is recessed and it makes the lower portion stick out much further than it should giving him an odd "lower lip" that's jutted out. The mask is also completely flat when viewed from the side which isn't accurate to the comic one that has a nice angle to it giving him a more menacing look. Then there's the problem with the eyes where they wanted so bad to have the clever mask removal gimic which in the end didn't fucking matter anyway since Tarn in a literal who and the face sculpt doesn't look like him anyway. So now he constantly has these dead eye holes with nothing in them because the face sits so far back when Tarn's whole deal was how menacing his eyes looked through his mask.
The whole face ends up looking like a gas station knock-off that was too worried about getting sued to do an accurate representation.
>>6356527
And here's a custom someone made where you can see the angles of the mask a bit better, it's not flat on this one.
>>6356527
huh, okay.
I think his face looks aces
>>6356520
There's an oversized KO of the WfC Prime, it's definitely worth getting.
>>6356530
Well I know it is a small thing that won't annoy most people but I feel like it's a missed opportunity when the entire rest of the figure was perfect. Just me though.
>>6356520
True enough, though it could be loopholed that Megs did use his WfC design for a fair bit of FoC, much how seekers, iirc stayed about the same visually. I'm sure their FoC megs will be nice, but I think WfC megs has a smoother aesthetic and nicer paint scheme.
>>6356529
I need the damn cannon attachment fixed more than the head. As is it's impossible to bend his elbow without hitting the shoulder treads.
>>6356607
That is pretty fucking annoying as well. I actually have taken his cannon off since it seems like its always in the way but it shouldn't have to be like that.
Pictured here is a blurred out DX9 Gabriel posted by FansToys. They throw some shade roughly translated to mean that Gabriel can't transform without unscrewing parts. No whether this just FT lying to hurt sales of Gabriel or actual truth no one knows.
I got all this from the tfautism thread from a translator.
>>6356866
CHINA TOY WAR
>>6356968
I have never seen such childish shitflinging since I saw the shitposting on the Gabriel vs Terminus threads. These people are in their forties with children and yet they bicker and bait one another about who has the best plaything. It's embarrassing.
>>6357008
Doesn't matter the age people will always be people.
>It is not a tease
Holy shit!!
>>6357112
I have no interest in the whole crouching-magnus-hidden-whiteprime concept, but this is straight up impressive.
>>6357112
>Cuckberts Btfo
Say goodbye to Cuckmus Ambus.
>>6357112
So this will work with most of the X2 kit since all it does is change the breastplate and cab? Despite all the flaws with the leader magnus the thing that irked me the most is the fucking retarded door scaling with the cab.
>>6357261
Aside from the whole "gun can mount onto the back" thing, there's really no reason it shouldn't be able to work with the X2 upgrade kit.
That being said, that figure is really more IDW Magnus, while the PE figure would give it a G1 chest, so not sure what kind of design you'd be aiming for by combining the two.
>>6357112
Yep, I'll be buying this. If Minimus could somehow fit inside that would be the shit. I love robots inside robots inside robots.
>>6357550
>I love robots inside robots inside robots.
I can't help but imagine there's a Gurren Lagann toy with this exact premise.
>>6353702
He's great, looks fantastic, plastic is good, just is missing a few articulation points that DX9s will probably have, but for me he replaced IF Soundwave as the primary one on my Legends shelf
So I bought an Iron Factory Starscream from The Chosen Prime the other day.
It came in the box with one wing missing.
Are TCP alright about this sort of stuff? Would it be better to contact Iron Factory?
Also was this figure supposed to come with any sort of insert, instructions or something because it also didn't have that in the box, where other Iron Factory stuff has in the past.
>>6357580
I'd say definitely contact Chosen Prime, since you bought it from them. Tell them everything thats missing, take some pics if you can.
Am I the only person eagerly awaiting these guys?
>>6357580
Just open an inquiry with TCP. I had missing shit from IF before and I got them. Sometimes they have to request stuff from the manufacturer if they don't have something to send you as a replacement on hand.
>>6357599
I want that Prime so bad but I already have the Megatron.
>>6357565
I WISH there was.
>>6357599
I'm potentially interested in Optimus, but something about this other mini Prime mold looks incredibly satisfying (and I don't even own Powermaster OP or CW Magnus).
>>6357633
That fucker right there is like a booby trap. I know if I buy him one of the PM Prime molds is gonna be in the mail the next day, probably along with an upgrade kit, too.
>>6357633
Alright shit. I haven't felt a serious urge to buy a 3P figure in a while, but these guys are gorgeous. Who made em, and where can I buy?
>>6357633
I have like no attachment to PMOP/Ginrai, but fuck I think I need the Ultra Magnus now (And I supposed CW Ultra Magnus might be a good idea)
Are there any pics of the Ultra Magnus version combined with the trailer?
>>6357640
Perfect Effect is making them. They aren't out. You can preorder them at any store that sells third party stuff. BBTS, TFSource, The Chosen Prime, Captured Prey, etc.
Be warned if you want Prime to go with Power Master Prime you're going to need an additional Ginrai kit that comes with a super mode head that fits into the cab.
>>6357633
After Beast Gorira, I'm all in for whatever PE makes.
There's also a Maketoys counterpart, but you can't buy it a la carte.
>>6357708
I can't get over MT's paddle tonfas. But to be fair their's is much smaller.
>>6357599
Aren't they both kits? And also only place I've seen them up is Chosen Prime, which I can't seem to order from because their site bugs the fuck out for me.
>>6357708
>but you can't buy it a la carte.
Uncultured swine here, I'm sorry, what?
>>6357719
They're model kits, yes, I own Megatron.
Megatron is 85% good, the gun barrel on his back is poorly engineered and doesn't like to stay attached in either bot or gun mode, otherwise he's worth owning.
>>6357719
I know TFSource has them available.
>>6357726
Well the Perfect Effect one is technically an add-on kit for the HasTak figure, so all you're buying is the little truckformer. The Maketoys one is a complete "Powermaster" toy so you can't buy the tiny cab on its own.
>>6357730
How hard/easy was it to put'em together? How durable is it?
>>6357703
It looks as though both the TR and LG versions require the Ginrai/Powermaster kit, they're both using its head.
I wonder how the Ultra Magnus version will work, then. I'd assume it'll just come with an Ultra Magnus head included?
>>6357633
I might just get one by itself, it looks like a nice standalone figure.
>>6357778
Oh, I didn't see that post, my bad.
>>6357734
Not that guy, but I seem to remember some sanding was necessary on mine to get some parts to fit.
It was far more manageable than their Shockwave and Grimlock kits to be sure. Shockwave's main issue was just his thigh swivels. My Grimlock's tolerances were WAY too tight, to the point where one of the balljoints sheared itself off its stem.
So just keep in mind it might not go together as simply as a gunpla, but it is quite solid. I've transformed him many times without issue.
>>6357791
Damn, the Grimlock was one of the ones I wanted the most.
>>6357261
Is that kit still available for a decent price anywhere? I've been wanting it but, but not "almost 80$ from chinese ebay sellers" wanting it.
>>6357261
I heard some bad press about this on release and decided against getting it but good god that really does fix most of the visual issues with him.
Unbelievably depressing that I can only find the Takara colours version anywhere. Not about to buy Legends UM just to make this work.
>>6357807
There's always the Platinum Boxset version. It has a more Takara deep blue but I don't know how close it is since I only have the Platinum version. Also the red thigh fillers would be out of place.
>>6357816
I assume he already has a CW Ultra Magnus and doesn't want to buy a second one.
>>6352804
Oh yeah like that one time you were daydreaming. I do remember.
>>6353917
t. MMC rep.
>>6357807
It's not bad, it works if you want to give Magnus wrists and ankles
the only downside is the cab-back is flawed as is and doesn't attach securely. You can fix this with a bit of sanding/cutting but it doesn't invalidate the real draw of the upgrade kit, the aforementioned wrists and ankle joints.
>>6357895
what does MMC have to do with FT?
>want Seacon's
>want GT Devy
>don't have the money for one of them, let alone both
The poorfag life sucks, guys.
>>6358004
Seacons.
>>6358014
You missed the "don't have money for either" part.
>>6356352
Don't know if I'm too late to help out here but here's one place with him in stock:
http://www.agesthreeandup.com/mastermind-creations-reformatted-r-12-cynicus-asterisk-convention-exclusive/
>>6357800
It might have just been on my copy. Either way I'm sure you'd be fine if you sanded everything down liberally.
>>6358004
I know that feel.
I would've ordered every Diaclone-inspired evil repaint of every MP, especially Ligier, if shipping wouldn't fuck my shit up for every order.
Well my Generation toy gt-03 Prime arrived. Pretty neat.
>>6358376
Is he the fragile skeleton one, or the other one?
>>6358401
Not him, but the other one
Iron Factory hitting it out of the fucking park.
Would you have bought this if it wasn't a hoax?
>>6358578
>>6358578
It looks awful, no
>>6358578
I could see that being one of those things I'd buy just because of how stupid/bad it is if it ever ended up being cheap enough.
How many more times can they delay this fucker?
>>6358875
Delay? I thought he was already out.
>>6358875
>have this faggot in my stash with Noir
>get to wait longer god dammit
At this rate I'll be able to throw in Iron Factory Bruticus with the goddamn stash, what the hell.
>>6358401
The other is a fragile skeleton.
So what's the verdict on that G2/Scourge MP? I don't trust reviewers.
>>6358522
So the tabs are for compatibility their Bruticus, huh
>>6358875
Wait, he got delayed? Why?
>>6358376
So how is this one then? I've been looking for a Prime. I don't own the MP (well, I own an MP10-V, so I guess I own the MP, sort of?), but the other Prime was a fragile piece of shit. I like my toys like I like my women: Well built and able to take a pounding. How's this one?
This SD Magnus looks unironically great
That 'tude tho
integrated face swap
perfect transformation and a swivel joint at the trailer hitch
>>6358578
That's fucking hilarious.
>>6359897
Who you calling hilarious.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04B6DUftOJ4
IF Not-Starscream review.
>>6357633
I wonder if Jinrai prime will sell out fast. I'm more interested in Core Magnus but if they're both still available by the time the latter is out I don't think I'll be able to resist not getting both.
>>6357633
I need to find a way to mod a titanmaster head slot in there
>>6357112
The only thing this needs to be a truly 10/10 for me is an alternate Ambus style head accessory, mustache and all
>>6357261
I wonder how difficult it would be to keep the stock shinplates and still use the new feet that kit provides. I love everything about that kit except the shins, but if I got it I'd be getting it for the ankle articulation.
they'll have to do a black repaint of that powermaster prime for the exclusive powermaster prime coming out in all black and gold...
If minimus could fit into the magnus bot, car or bot mode, I would find it really fucking hard to not get him... cause that'd be the perfect magnus set with a g1 style. tiny robot, pilots bigger prime-like robot, piloting magnus like robot, all I'd need would be a robot for ultra magnus to pilot.
>>6357816
Platinum megnsu is fuckign gorgeous, glad I got mine for $30.
>>6358578
just give us Santarn Prime already.
>>6359901
that's even scarier than the original... I bet he'll pop up in baybeeformers and be someone like "prowl"
Deep discounts on UT stuff. Any of this worth picking up? I was considering either Splinter or Salmoore and Invisible just because of the price. And honestly I've always like Warlord becuase it feels a little more "generations-y" than any of the other Predakings.
>>6360527
Meh, Feral Rex is the best ""generations-y"" Predaking.
>>6360530
I'll be honest, and this is 100% opinion of course, I really don't like the looks of Feral Rex and never have. I think both Warlord and Ares look far better.
It would appear as though DX9 in retaliation for FT being huge cocks is going to undercut their price hard. This guys is only an inch shorter than Terminus yet Terminus is 460 USD. Quality to be determined.
>>6360527
Also I misstyped. UT and DX9 stuff.
>>6360527
hmm, if I hadn't already spent my budget on Kamen Rider stuff, I'd jump on this...
>>6360534
Your little fanfiction is getting stale.
>>6360532
But what about the bicep swivels
>>6360541
But that's actually what's happening. They release a render of a competing product as FT nears release entirely to undercut FT preorders. This is exactly what FT did to DX9 when Hanzo was announced and FT showed renders of their six shot.
>>6360577
No, that's not what's happening but feel free to believe so.
>>6360596
What is your competing hypothesis?
>>6360541
These third party companies compete with each other all the time numbnuts. It's so routine to see a new MP announcement met with every company under the sun shitting out renders for preorder the next day.
>>6360728
>No argument
>ad hominem
How embarrassing my dude.
>>6353702
Just got mine today, and it's pretty solid. If it had a bicep swivel it'd be basically perfect, but for the price, you can't complain to much imo.
>>6360527
I pre-ordered Soundmixer.
At $70+ I didn't care but if it's pretty much the same price as an official toy why the fuck not
>>6360732
Yeah, it's very embarassing for you.
>>6360832
Keep going dude. You are the most perplexingly antagonistic and condescending subhuman I've spoken to all day.
>no u!
It's a like a child throwing a temper tantrum.
Convince me not to do it.
>>6360534
If the quality is good $279 is a steal for a bot of this size. Though for that price I expect paint to be sparse, no diecast and maybe some hollow limbs.
>>6360954
Yeah, I kinda expect it to be more like HasTak Titan figures than the giant MP that Terminal Hugefuck is going to be.
>>6360929
Anon, don't. Don't do it. Let me convince you. You'll end up slightly disappointed
>>6361009
My inner manchild can't resist the huge. I'm also a FT fanboy.
God forbid they do a Skorponok this big I'd fucken nut.
Just got Hot Soldiers Soundtrack. He's pretty neat. Kind of makes me want the Soundblaster deco
>>6361235
>>6360954
>No diecast to chip or fuck posing
Fine by me. I also don't get why hollow bits are inherently a bad thing. As long as they aren't gaping like pic related, they mean your toy doesn't weigh a metric fuckton and joints won't have to be terrifyingly tight. Plus on a city bot, it means you can have compartments for cockpits, weapons, and other neato playset features.
>>6361239
How is that Custom Robots Soundwave?
How in the hell do you transform striker manus/noir so his cab doesn't lean forward? I've been at this shit for an hour and have looked at several videos but I can't figure out what's not fitting together properly. Every time I connect the shoulders into the back of the truck, something pops out and everything gets off-kilter.
>>6361270
Can you give us a pic? I've never heard of this problem and I don't quite understand what you're describing.
>>6361302
It's a little hard to see, but the top of his cab is tilted forward in the first pic. The circled part in the second one is what's coming untabbed when I plug the shoulders in, but I'm at a loss for why.

Yes, yessss. Let them fight it out. Let them all fight!

Oh man, that was the last thing I would have thought so of course that was the problem. Thanks.

No problem. I had the exact same issue just last night.
>>6361411
holy kek
I want some dinobots for my generations collection. Which do you all recommend?
>>6361446
if you like the FOC look go with planet X.
>>6361453
What if I don't like the FOC style?
>>6361461
Planet X regardless, they're the best set out there.
>>6361461
Well there's Fans Project but their a mixed bag and looks like they'll never get snarl out since they seem to have gone kaput. Then there's G creations who's are also a mixed bag of QC and design choices.
>>6361411
Will they be making enough of them though?
Chances are, they will make enough to drive DX9 out.
>>6361461
Toyworld's are great as classics figures. Aside from lacking some things here and they look the part and are generally solid. Don't ever attempt to combine them.
Otherwise Planet X's FOC is your best bet. Fansprojects are a crapshoot of lackluster engineering despite the excellent weapon master gimmick. You can probably find them for cheap though since they're taking ages for Snarl.
>>6361535
Are they even going to make a Snarl? I'm surprised they did those random fembots before him.
>>6361411
lol really?
Fucking FT.
>>6360442
I would buy this.
>>6361446
I like Fansproject's but they're taking fucking forever to release Snarl.

B-but the competition is just fanfiction!

I mean, maybe Gordian, but you can't tell me that you've never heard of the Braves.

Uhhhh... row row fight tha powa! XD
Are there any other companies that are making a Super Ginrai besides Maketoys and Fans Hobby?
>>6362212
Iron Factory(?) made a little legends scale (War within) God Ginrai if that counts.
There's also that Xovergen trailer that fits various prime cabs but I hear it's shit.
>>6360900
Sweetie, we never forgot.
But let's face it. In a world where some of the most powerful people are playing keepaway with the future of humanity, others are blowing themselves up and killing dozens of people - even children - for no reason at all while half of the world's population has less money to spend than the eight wealthiest people -
do you really think we're the crazy ones?
>>6360854
>being THAT dumb
Ok.
>>6362243
>Iron Factory(?) made a little legends scale (War within) God Ginrai if that counts.
Yeah it doesn't. Not that I don't like it, but I meant an actual Ginrai.
>>6361411
I like how all the fags on tfw2015 are losing their shit over this, acting like FT is a victim and they are going to end up going bankrupt.
FT lowered the price because the obviously had some wriggle room as they now their rabid fanboys will pay their prices regardless. They aren't the kind of company to sell things without a decent profit for each figure.
>>6362475
People never realize that the cost per unit on a lot of things is close to nothing. The biggest cost is usually designing it and the mold, which are usually disgustingly high expenses. However, given a lot of factories are apparently owned by the 3P owner it probably cuts the costs down to some degree, and lets face it: There isn't nearly $500 worth of plastic in any big 'bot like that. I'm sure they'll still make a healthy profit per figure.
>>6362475
>People/companies butthurt FT keeps undercutting people because muh ebil chink capitalist cutthroats
>DX9 does the exact same thing to FT
>MMC does the exact same thing with Trailbreaker
It's just the fucking free market at work. DX9 trying to out jew FT resulted in Terminus being 100 bucks cheaper. Consumers win.
>>6362527
I wish they'd do this with figures I actually wanted to buy, and not 2ft tall monstrosities of plastic that few people will have any sort of shelf space for.

Yes.
>>6361239
I recognize Iron Factory, Mech Planet and Music Label, but what's that on the left?
