Is this thing any good? Is it worth actively seeking out? I'm trying to look more into the Buzz Bee stuff.
>>
Are there ever reissues of old guns?
>>
>>6344503
they've re-released the nitefinder and longshot a few times. The alpha trooper had a re-release too.

Buzzbee reuses its shit all the time for recolors. The lever action rifle is coming back after all.

Usually blasters don't come back once pulled unless insanely popular like the longshot or iconic for the brand like the nitefinder or buzzbee double-blast.
>>
>>6344612
Gotcha. I was wanting the star lord blaster from the first movie. Internet prices are insane.
>>
>>6344628
Did you just watch the movie for the first time or something?

Does it have to shoot? They sell Halloween props for like $10. Of course, it looks like $10.
>>
>>6344670
No. I just wanted the guns all of a sudden and saw repaints people did of them.
>>
x4 12 round mags from china came in. Only a week too.
>>
Stocked up on rebelle arrows cause they take out shields in our Nerf games and and I already had a shitty bow.

I recently got that one really awful rebelle arrow crossbow and removed the locks, tightened the string, and removed that stupid wheel. Do any of you have any ideas how I should use this? Loadout ideas?

Missiles and for now arrows and socks take out shield users.
Thing is there's only two dedicated shieldies and no one brings socks. I'm hesitant to use any more than the two socks I pack because I don't want them used be the other team.
Any protips on how I can counter shields? We fight in a two story building with really straight halls. The only reliable counter right now is to fight through the opposite side of the building and try to flank.
>>
>>6346823
Not sure why they should be giving you trouble. Are they allowed to wield a blaster in the other hand?

How about MEGAs?

As for loadouts, you can hang a cellphone charm from the handle.

>>6347172
>your Stryfe is stock
Remove some of the locking features

>your Stryfe is modded
You modded it too much.
>>
>>6347264
>Remove some of the locking features
locking features are removed but sometimes a dart will feed into the flywheels and just stop them
Recharge batteries maybe???
>>
>>6346852
One guy uses a hyperfire+shield and the other is this zippy fucker that just uses two doublestrikes + shield. Second one fakes out new players into thinking he's got some heavy weapons so once they back off to do something else he sprints them down.

>>6347264
Not easy to mod that. Lots of shield guys can't feel the difference between a mega and an elite.

Cellphone charm? What?
>>
>>6346823
>tfw you own so many nerf guns but have no one to play with

I got into it with the Maverick and have purchased sets of two Raiders, two Alpha Troopers, a Longstrike, a Vulcan, a Spectre, a Stampede, two Ravens, Elite Roughcut, two Alpha troopers, two Stryfes, a Rapidstrike, that Zombie Strike hammer pistol with two shots, and a Rebelle Sweet Revenge. My old roommates stopped playing after Vulcan came out.

Maybe cause I modded the fuck out of my Mavericks.

quick question
what is the pipe that is a perfect fit to elite darts?
>>
>>6348557
Elites like 17/32 brass. Aftermarket darts will be a little more smug, so some do 9/16 brass and run the pipe cutter around a bit and make tightening rings.

lolno
Try one of the rival blasters at least.

The longshots now are just re-releases. If anything they're weaker than before. I heard the new ones at least have an issue with sucking in darts and jamming when the AR is removed.
Like >>6348687 said, Hasbro will brand shit blasters to look like Elite but will put just N-strike on the box when it isn't the same level as elite. Also no range claims is also a sign the blaster is shit. Pic-related.
>>
>>6348674
>>6348687
>>6348709
Longshots are popular because they have the potential to be modded superior to many things. Otherwise, they're nothing special stock. Rival blasters are the heavy hitters.
>>
>>6348674
Longshots have a gigantic plunger tube that pushes a huge amount of air with an efficient direct plunger system. Modded they're like entry level homemades.
However, the plunger is incredibly heavy when compared to elite blasters and the spring isn't any stronger than the new ones explaining >>6348687
As for >>6348709, the jamming I hear comes from the newer darts. Every mag fed before the Stampede had a slide down dart gate that slides away after pushing the dart into the breech. Now, the older Streamline darts had a long stem that went down a third of the dart. Elites removed this for better weight and balance, but this change means they will often get folded in the older blasters. Stampede and then Elite blasters have a flip dart gate with a small drop down piece behind it; the breech comes forward, pushing the dart into the breech and pushing down the drop gate, allowing the flip gate to turn away.
>>
So, what's the general's opinion on the Rival series? Worth picking up or no?
>>
>>6349225
>100 fps stock
>hop up give magnus effect giving extended range
>chambers round away rather than through the mag letting you have 7+1/12+1 capacity
>40 round mag bigger than any dart system sans linked Vulcan belts
>hoppers anyhow
>balls work better over time as excess foam is shaved off rather than wear out like darts
If they made them look as good as some of the dart blasters, I'd switch completely. Only real downside is the balls will roll from wherever they land, so they're much easier to lose.
>>
>>6349225

>>6349533
Dubs confirm

My experience is that near the end of their effective range they wind up veering off wherever they feel like, sometimes arcing up and going on some bullshit space adventure.
Their wondering souls don't end there though because they really will roll like crazy once they land like they're on some kind of drug and paranoia fueled spirit quest.

>>
>>6352798
Not him but after a certain point, a spring upgrade returns less performance gains than it is worth. The next step is a brass breech, the end all for a top tier spring blaster. After that it's fine tuning barrel lengths, adjusting seal vs plunged velocity, and custom fitting homemade darts.

More like that friend that was a weird ugly nerd in high school and now is muscled and handsome and has everything figured out

Seriously, Buzz Bee is so based. As someone who runs stock wars, Reapers/Champions/Sentinels with EKIND waffle darts are absolutely dominant. The power of the blasters allows for the heavier waffles to be shot pretty hard and of course they're very accurate. It's an amazing combination. I plan on buying multiples of probably every blaster that was in their toy fair show. Hell, I'd replace my entire loaner pile of nerf guns with buzz bee honestly.

While on the subject, a double dealer would out perform a stock maverick but I'd still rather have the stock maverick because it wouldn't jam or have the janky reload.

1v1 the double dealer would beat any stock one-shot blaster unless it jammed.
I'd still take the alternative regardless.

That's more cylinder ala Fearless Fire/Tommy 20 cause of the flywwheel cage blocking the very top. But the Mastodon is BIG, so not being able to load a few chambers shouldn't matter too much.

I dont even understand why nerf made these guns suposidly for girls like why get than when you can just get a normal nerf gun idk. i just dont think theyneeded to make them :P
>>
>>6365607
I feel the same way. There is nothing masculine or feminine about a nerf gun. GI Joe and barbie make sense but not nerf guns.
>>
>>6365607
>>6365674
I disagree. Most Nerf guns are styled for boys. Women don't care about being tacticool. You don't see girls roleplaying zombie and apocalyptic settings. You bring up GI Joe and Barbie, but GI Joe is all about shooting people, while Barbie has no gun-related accessories.

The Rebelle line was created because Hasbro clearly saw from their sales that girls were not part of their buying audience.

It's the same thing with Lego. Lego saw that there weren't as many girls demanding Lego as boys, so they created Friends and Elves. People may call it stupid and sexist, but I've seen first hand how many girls ask for Lego Friends over just plain Lego sets, so these companies seem to know what they're doing.

As long as it teaches girls to love guns.
This actually stands to be a good thing and we actually benefit from there being another line. If we were still on nstrike we would never have gotten any of the cool stuff in rival or zombiestrike.

Rebelle really has some cool designs. Not only are some of them completely unique, but they also tend to be way more streamlined, esp compared to the unnecessary bulk of Zombiestrike and Doomlands aesthetics.

>>
>>6366635
>Sponsored by Maliwan
>>
>>6366635
I have it. It's great. I dunno about fucking STRONG, but it should be on par with Elite ranges. I was looking for a sidearm that was more substantial to hold than a Triad and this fit the bill. It goes into the tacticool quickdraw pocket of my bag, so the Rebelle streamlining makes it even more perfect.

Unfortunately, it's a smart AR, so you can't really mess with the obvious air restricting that goes on. but I did remove the little cover in front of the UV LED that blocks forward lighting (probably because flashing UV light around isn't great), so it actually works a little better as a makeshift tac light. I was thinking about replacing the UV LED with a white LED or even a laser because it is just such a neat little blaster. Grip is a little cramp, so I sometimes just let my pinky go free.

But yeah. I waited for it to go on clearance for that sweet 50% off. I should have bought another.

I have this awful little thing with the locks removed, the jam door switch in place of the rev trigger for motor braking, and 16 gauge speaker wire. I think that the brushes in the motors would die a fair bit faster if you put IMR's in them, rewire or not.

Coax them into coming at you and have a dedicated person (you in this case it seems) in position to down the shields. Pop the shield and have hidden teammates nearby ready to drown them in darts as soon as soon as that shield hits the ground. Ok, i don't normally post in nerf threads, but my nephews are driving me crazy, so I need to show up next time with something to end their tiny lives.

1) Is there a gun that fires those tiny football esque missles? Like, the underslung big on the ak47 lookalike?

2) Stryfes are like, not a buyable thing right now, right?

as an aside, was there a nerf gun that was a pistol that fired 1 yellow/green ball, or was I dreaming that? is it impossible to find?
>>

I used to use angles to bounce bullets off the walls ans ceiling to shoot my roommates around corners or over furniture.

One time specifically I shot my roommate in the back of the head while he was at his computer. When he told me not to shoot him in the back of the head, I ricocheted a shot off the ceiling, then the wall, hitting him in the forehead. He was not pleased.

All you really need to do is shove a lot of air through a tube.

>get a PVC tube
>stick a dart in one end
>stick tube in your mouth and blow

You've just made a custom Nerf blaster.
It just becomes more of a thing once you know how to pump out enough air to fire a dart >100 fps.

>>6384617
I don't know exactly what you want, but there's the Demolisher aka Stryfe with a grenade launcher built in. I don't know if Stryfe's are still being sold (I thought they are), but if you get a Demolisher, then you've also just bought a Stryfe.

Hey guys, Got a bunch of nerf guns I haven't used since I was like 10 years oldall of these plus heaps of darts and an ammo bag the same colour as those darts in the photo. How much should I sell them for?
>>
>>6384870
$50. That's what the drums would be worth. No one really cares about the rest. You could try to piece out the accessories for $5 ea, then eat the $5 shipping cost. Or ask for $10 with free shipping that no one will pay. But people love drums...

So, I might be too late for mergemasters, but I had this idea, I call it the Nerf Hydra, it's a firestrike base, with two jolts/one triad mounted where the ammo holder is, and the top plunger gutted and replaced with a doubledown. That's about it so far, I'm still open to new ideas
>>
>>6387670
I was thinking of putting either the two jolts or maybe a triad underneath. Get a rail-to-rail coupler and maybe it could be a good underslung "masterkey" blaster.

Whenever I see nerf guns on display at a store my heart aches a little for what could have been. What do you guys do with the blasters besides just collecting and tinkering? Are organized nerf gun fights a legitimate thing?

>What do you guys do with the blasters besides just collecting and tinkering?
Tear them apart, figure out how they work, make them work better.
>Are organized nerf gun fights a legitimate thing?
Yes. I host one in my area twice a year and have 16 attendees. California's biggest Nerf War is tomorrow and should have 60+ attendees. New Jersey's largest war is on August 5th and should have 40+ attendees.

There's also Humans Versus Zombies, which I personally find to be pretty gay, but other people enjoy it.

Unless you're buying pretend toys makeup. Then yeah, that's gay.

I think they do this on purpose: package cool accessories with the meh blasters. I certainly bought a Retaliator because of the accessories and not because I wanted a top-priming blaster.

haven't bought a blaster in a while and found several at the second-hand shop today; 6 for $44, how did I do?

the mechanics all seemed okay in the store, but now the rough cut makes a grinding noise when priming. I'm going to have to open it up.

I don't plan to have dart battles, but have some friends who cosplay, so I'm going to paint them up as props
>>

I don't know why, but reloading any gun ever is one of my all time favorite kinks.
>>
>>6392048

>>

>>
>>6392078
>not pirate carrying jolts and only having one shot each
>>
>>6384617
Look up nerf thunderblast.
>>
>>6389814
It's basically just a different type of loading gimmick. In and of itself breach loading is just kind of "fun" in that it's different, it's just rarely ever effective. The best breach loading blaster I can think of is the Mega Magnus, but that's because it also had an internal magazine to make the whole Breach Loading gimmick worth while. I always wished the revisited that mechanism in a standard dart sized blaster because a breach loading top primed pistol with an internal magazine would make for a fantastic side arm.

>>6391449
The Rogue One Star Wars blasters had a light up muzzle gimmick. But between the added electronic and licensing prices and the lowered performance, I've never actually bothered to grab any of em. They do look cool though and there should be another one based on the Stormtrooper's heavy machine gun coming out at some point.
>>
>tfw everything you even lightly mod consistently malfunctions at random

Hot damn I can't wait for Buzz Bee's fall lineup. I'm gonna slap a vertical grip on a Thermal Hunter and main it for the rest of my life
>>
>>6392714
I'm really excited for there lineup as well.
>>
>>6392714
>>6393508

Coop just did a review on the Hunter and it's incompatible with Nerf mags and shoots 75 fps...
>>
>>6394162
Shaving off a little bit of plastic on the Thermal Hunter will make it compatable with Nerf mags most likely. Unfortuantely I don't think we can count on Coop to do that. Drac is slightly more likely, but since he is literally paid by hasbro in is, "honest reviews" I highly doubt we'll see anything on it.
>>
>>6394344

I'm more concerned about the lower than expected stock velocity. I was wanting something sentinel-tier that could eliminate the need to bother modding things but alas. Back to the my OMW EAT and wrist cramps I suppose.
>>
>>6394162
Why would they go through the trouble of making the an adaptor for Nerf rails but stop at the mags? Other buzz bee blasters are Nerf mag compatible so why not this one?
>>
>>6394842

Probably just design oversight, like how early recon mk II's couldn't take 18 mags
>>
>>6394842
>>6394931
It's basically the exact same issue. They just made the magazine well to small on one end. The Recon Mk 2a didn't account for the rear bump on higher capacity magazines and the Thermal Hunter didn't account for the lip on the front of Nerf magazines. Both these issues can and probably will be able to be fixed by a five minute filing/sanding/dremeling job.
>>
>>6395043
>>6394931
It must be a mistake because why else would you go backward on something like that? Maybe they will fix it in the future but at the price point they simply might just not bother. But, as you said, it is an easy DIY fix.
>>
With the thermal hunter, I think the community had their expectations too high. We wanted slam-fire, sentinel FPS, alpha trooper ergonomics, and a low price point. At least the sight is really cool. Might pick one up, I think it would be fun to develop my own slam-fire mech for it and graft on one of my old raider handles
>>
>>6395163

I just wanted sentinel FPS t b h famalam. I'm sure I can get past the grip, I'm not interested in slamfire, but the stock performance being no more than it is disappoints me.
>>
>>6395163
I think a grafted Maverick handle and salvaged Tek spring could fix most of our misgivings. Too bad they fell for the magwell a mile away from the trigger meme.

>>
>>6395524

Hammershot seems to fit your bill and it's one of the most popular blasters in recent years
>>
>>6395269

That's honestly not uncomfortable or even inconvenient with a few minutes or practice. Just strike it with the thumb as you're pulling the mag out. I've gotten quite used to it with the Champion
>>
>>6395524
If you're up for it you could make a homemade or two. The way homemade blasters look fits the poorfag slav look perfectly
>>
just bought a shitload of blasters
dunno if worthy of pics but im positive i have too many jolts now
>>
>>6395709
Any more than 2 is way too many unless you go to a game and keep them as holdout pistols for your dudes.

There was a time when the jolt was hot shit but now it's just regular shit.

It's not even fun for plinking and is btfo by literally everything as a holdout pistol.
>>
Is it just me or is the Tri-Strike a giant cunt?
>>
>>6396593

Triad is best holdout

Hell, it's dangerous as something to run around with + a sack of darts if you know what you're doing
>>
>>6396761
Yeah man. The breech doesn't close completely like retalioids so waffle darts jam me all the time.
>>
More Buzz Bee news from Coop. The Monorail blaster is a jamming POS that shoots 70fps. But on the flip side, the Tactical Storm functions nicely and averaged 82 fps.

Tac Storm is literally Buzz Bee's retaliator so I'll definitely pick it up

Agree and dubs confirm triad is fucking based.

Doublestrike hardly competes except in that it can be used one handed, making it a lifesaver when you get jammed.
Pic related is p' sweet too since it's hardly bigger than a doublestrike.
>>
>>6397268

A couple wars ago, I ran a Triad and a dump pouch of darts. I ran around and took pot shots all day and got some of the most hilarious tags I've ever seen. Probably had second or third most tags of anyone there.
