The left side arm doesn't peg in well with the tab to the body in jet mode on mine. It just pops right out, making one wing at a different angle from the other. I have no idea what's specifically wrong with it to fix it and it is grating on me.

Baldigus looks nice and the not double duty feet and hands are nice, but I'm not 100% sure I can talk myself into them being Onslaught, Swindle and the rest.

As for G2, it's the colors man, it's always the colors with these kinds of guys. If they were just a little more muted I'd be real happy.
I'll probably get him any way, since I also really fucking want CW Shockwave.
>>
>>6334310
The G2 colors are what make that version of CW Bruticus my favorite. I love the gaudy 90's neon colors.

I'm sure it's just nostalgia, since I was like 7 when I completed G2 Bruticus, but that color palette will always have a special place in my heart.

Get some Pledge floor finish (not the polish) or some plain acrylic medium (can get this at any craft store but you'll have to thin it yourself) and carefully apply it right around the inside of the area that needs friction, just a little bit at first. Wait 24hrs to let it dry, try out the joint. If it's still too loose repeat the process again until you get it.
Also just know with alot of transformations or fiddling with the joint you will probably have to do this again but it's better than overdoing it with superglue like some people use and potentially destroying your figure.
>>
>>6334710
I'm dutch and i want to know what's this floor finish called in dutch
>>
>>6334752
It's probably easier to find some clear hobby acrylic paint. Basically you're adding a thin layer of material to tighten to joint.

I'd definitely vote for G2. All of his accessories and his ridiculous face sculpt are a fucking blast.

Trying to get just one is pointless with me. I always say I'm never going to double-down on molds, but more often than not, I triple dip. Just ordered my third Lambo mold, Clampdown, simply because I think he'd look cool as fuck with Artfire who's coming in at the end of the month.

You realize that this is based upon existing product back in the 90's, right?

The colors are PRECISELY the point this exists. It was an established element of pop culture for the time period.

You said you wanted a Bruticus. Well here's a Bruticus. It can still be found for cheap. If you turn your nose up at this, you deserve no sympathy and deserve to be sad.

That's because he's insecure about his sexuality and it make him uncomfortable to see a gaping butt-hole added to a figure.

>>
>>6334972

First off, it's not the same mold. There is a distinct physical difference. Plus there are distinct color differences.

Second, no one is forcing me to buy it. I am choosing to buy it of my own free will because it corrects a major problem with the original, namely the originally painted red head that's paint can and WILL wear off due to needing to be handled for transformation. No one is being forced.
>>
>>6334989

Whiole I am getting it because it fixes some issues from the former release, I *DO* agree that charging us MORE and giving us LESS is a shitty thing to do.

FUCK Hasbro's "Profit margins". Some things matter more than just the bottom line. Im sure they can give us the quality they did five years ago and STILL make back more than they spent making it. They spent even LESS on making this year's movie toys than the last movie's, and the straight up reissues STILL have less paint

arcee-chromia.jpg
261KB, 478x501px
Blog incoming.

Got these two today from BBTS. Honestly, i only really wanted this for Arcee, but Chromia is pretty nice too, although I can't get her rear wheel to fit together perfectly. Chromia's vehicle mode looks a little weird next to MP10's Spike and Triggerhappy's Blowpipe, since her large window looks like they'd be able to fit (they can't, I tried) and also because she's a GIANT motorcycle. Arcee'c vehicle mode is great though, fits well next to MP10 and my bootleg Bumblebee. (which sucks, by the way) If anything, she's a bit too small for MP scale, but she's close enough. Maybe someday they'll release a masterpiece G1-style Arcee.

As a side, note, I was using a new razer blade to open Chromia's packaging and accidentally sliced right into the back of her comic book.
Instant REEEEEEEEEE.

>>6334210
Triggerhappy is a ton of fun. I was able to find him at Target for $25 a couple days ago, and with him as my first titans return figure, I'm very happy with him. If anything, his guns area bit too hollow for me, and the grey is a tad boring, but otherwise I love him.

I have the same problem, it's not just you. I have a hard time figuring out how to get her arms to fit, too, but at least when the wheel sits split it makes it stand up easier; the kickstand is entirely useless.

Where is Soundwave?" but unlike most people it seems I could realize that the G1 designs would not fly in a live action movie and be taken seriously. The Bayformer designs could have been cleaner (like they are now) but at the time I think they were mostly just trying to pull people in with complex cgi and Megan Fox' body.

People forget how fucking hard finding concept Camaro Bee was. Thats why they went so overboard with Bees in ROTF.
2007 Bumblebee may have long been surpassed as far as movie accuracy, but I still like it the best. I actually really like the movie 1 line's aesthetics where everything is still somewhat blocky and simple. Deluxe Bee's face looks cooler to me than the actual movie render.

Honestly, Blackout's not worth it, he was one of the few who REALLY needed a better toy but he got stuck as a voyager when his presence and size was deserving of a Leader, while Brawl while not a terrible, definitely didn't deserve it over Blackout despite having a large presence at the end.

Took him out of the box tonight. Holy shit. I feel like this is one of the most underrated molds ever. Every time I buy it again, I'm impressed. His proportions are probably among the best of the MP bots. His transformation is great, and his alt. mode is solid. He looks gorgeous in every deco he's had, but all I recall is the endless backlash he got for being small and that gap in his ankles. I know MP-10 is a tough act to follow, but this guy was near perfect.

The Automorph thing was neat, but it got misaligned so easily that it turned into a pain in no time. He huge weapon was also a massive waste (just having that section split up into shoulder guns or something would have been way better).

I'm in a similar position, albeit with my 3 year old nephew. I'd say it depends how old your son is. ROTF Optimus is notoriously finicky and while I'd say a kid could transform it, it wouldn't be much fun in pure play value(though its a n awesome toy you should get, or maybe wait for the similar Masterpiece version).

I'm thinking of getting another Cybertron Optimus to give to him, because its relatively simple and chunky but still feels like a full fledged figure. Armada/Energon/Cybertron figures in general are great for younger kids, because they're super sturdy and easy to transform most of the time.
>>

>I still don't understand why couldn't they just make it more like the deluxe,

>That deluxe was one of the ugliest figures I had ever seen.
It looks like shit like everything else from Classics but the transformation scheme being lifted from the cartoon animation was a great feature. With more room to work with they could've made a better figure than the normal voyager.

Maybe a lot of it was relative, but coming off the UT line having an Optimus that focussed on the basic cab robot mode and had decent articulation felt like a godsend. Aesthetically, I actually preferred the fact that it wasn't 100% g1 based because I liked the idea of Classics as a continuation of G1/G2, rather than a reboot of G1. This was Optimus after he had all those other bodies and gone back to basics in an upgraded version of his early form. Same for Megatron and the others. MP-01 had, at the time, at least, scratched the itch for a G1 faithful Optimus.

To me is not really about being G1-accurate either; hell, I don't even own any MP because I'm not interested in anything from the line; but I care a lot for having figures that don't have shit obstructing movement or looking awkward and out of place.
The rebooted G1 is a nice idea but I rarely find enough figures that make me feel anyone in HasTak really cares for it, all these years and no serious attempt at a new normal Optimus and all.

I hope he gets Weijiang gangbanged. Post-Future I ended up liking him more than Voyager Prime.

Kinda wish he came with the sword shown off in the promo's, the one he actually has is completely different.
>>
>>6336517

Literally the only Bayformer I've ever been interested in, and not only is he a floppy mess, his altmode is kind of shit, which is fucking annoying because normally Bayformer's have good altmodes but horribly shit, disgusting, ugly as fuck robot modes because their aesthetics are fucking atrocious and the "hurr durr walking scrapyard" meme is less of a meme and more of a reality and really doesn't translate well to a $15-20 figure medium when it's already a hunk of visual noise on the movie screen.
>>
>>6336525
>ugly as fuck robot modes because their aesthetics are fucking atrocious and the "hurr durr walking scrapyard" meme is less of a meme and more of a reality

At this point we're out of the scrapheap era, and more into the "ultra sleek, nondescript" robot mode era. Where as the first movie designs where made under constant scrutinization as to how alt-mode bits could go where, and how size would work in relativity between robot and vehicle modes, since DOTM they've been allowing concept artists to go more wild and design whatever designs they want and then apply alt-modes later. The DOTM designs where still borderline, but it became more apparent in AoE.
>>
>>6336525
>their aesthetics are fucking atrocious
Some, maybe. Others are pretty good. I really like Starscream's design, for example, and I fucking love the DOTM deluxe Seeker mold.
>>
>>6336367
Also if you don't mind guys like Sideswipes/Prowl being the same size of OP (CHUG Inferno/Grapple are already bigger), it fits well with those MPs.

MPM Jazz when?
Bumblebee is a huge improvement over his HA, makes me think Barricade will be amazing.
>>

What could they improve over the HA? it was the best on the line, pretty much perfect transformation... I guess a smaller backpack and ankle tilts, but thats it.

I want a DOTM Soundwave so fucking badly, I really wish he actually came out. I really like him, and it sucks that his toy is so hard to obtain.
>>

Make it smaller? Though I dunno if the movie mp bots are on scale yet. Prime and bee haven't been together yet.

Why people on 4Chan don't complain about Bayformers? On TFW2005 is war atthis moment because of Young Prime and Burnout (dumb assholes). Also, someone called Plove said that he saw the movie...hahaha.
Hat a liar the movie isn't ready for critics, the critics saw Baywatch.
Anyway, any news on the Mission to Cybertron toy line?
>>
>>6336723
>Better grammar when?
Also, you're new on the fandom? Right?

It's normal, the fandom is made mostly of assholes, retards and normal people.

>>
>>6336734
Well, the movies are G1 episodes so...
Anyway, G1 blows up the continuity in like 5 seconds every episode.
>>

>>
>>6336738

RotF used the same plot as that ep from G1 with Harvesting machine.
TLK use a lot of G1 references,like Hot Rods transformation,Quintessons,Giant planet killer,Dark Awakening,IDWs Knights of Cybertron,RID junkyard base,etc.
Also,Cade called Grimlock "Grimlock" in the new trailer!
>>
>>6336743
Not really interested in Hot Rod, and Bee comes in a normal pack so I guess I'll be fine just as long as Nitro doesn't come bundled with another voyager.

tfw is probably the only TF forum I stalk due to being the only forum that could speak positively about Bayformers, and then go to /co/ and /toy/ for better discussions on the movies' faults.

Everyone there just seems to get too petty over looking down on the Bayfans, while some of the Bayfans are too forgiving of the movie series.

>>
>>6334972
this is what i don't understand in tranformers toy collectors.

There are remolds all the time.

>dude there are some distinct difference
Yeah some color swap, a few minor details here and there and a different head. The transformation is the same, the major parts are the same.

Also combiners' combined mode has lazy execution. Like the only major transforming part is the body, then slap the hand and leg bots in vehicle mode, and thats it.

Well it is actually ok, but they are expensive as fuck

I really like lurking on boards though, like when something new came out.

Is there anything you can do with Energon Arcee's bow besides make thrusters for her vehicle mode? Like how Signal Flare has a shield that can turn into solar panels or make a giant saw weapon or Strongarm's crane can become a gun or an axe.

She just feels a lot more limited than the others;

There's a KO that solves the windows issue and even adds articulation.

Not a perfect mold but certainly a classic.
