Okie dokes. Here's what happens when you buy a grotesque resin kit and fail to secure it to the stand tightly enough.
>>
>>6331566
Never understood why these kinds of busts and statues are so expensive. Is it because they know people will spend stupid amount of money on something with no articulation?
>>
>>6331796
Never understood why posable stuff are so expensive. Ugly ass joints and gaps makes the figure look like some mutant version of the intended character.
>>
>>6331592
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vn9a5qwWJ40
>>
>>6331796
A lot of work put into them and usually a limited run. They're niche items so its harder to break even. Sculpting takes a lot of time, especially since statues tend to be scrutinized more thoroughly in that regard. Casting and mass producing them can be very expensive depending on what materials are used. And of course, the paint.

JP statues are, relatively, so cheap, because there's such a huge market for them, in different tiers of cost and quality.

I'll agree that one should test the stability of shelving before loading all their most precious collectibles on it, but have you ever seen the instructions for ikea furniture? Sometimes pieces look similar and sometimes the diagrams are unclear.

But seriously, test the structural integrity. If it feels flimsy, it's probably misassembled.

considering a tripcode is basically a password, that's really not that difficult.
I still remember my tripcode from when I avatarfagged on /x/ back in 2011.

Trip code changing is news to me. I'm kinda surprised people still actively use them.

Anybody remember the guy who bought a $300 1/12 figure (Assassins Creed I think) a couple of years back, and had it sent via SAL?
The box looked like it had been run over a few times by a truck, and the figure was buggered all to hell. He got pissed off because people ragged on him for cheaping out on the shipping.

I had the pix at one time, but I can't find them ow.

>>
>>6334343
He didn't get pissed at people, quit lying. He just defended his use of SAL and said he'd continue using it because all the money he saves is worth it when this is the only issue he's ever had. Of course he can't into math since SAL is really only saving like $2-4 an order that means he wiped out like 100 orders worth of savings on this single destroyed purchase.

Using SAL for anything that isn't cheap junk is dumb.
