I don't know how new these are but I just found out about them today from a facebook group.
They look pretty decent and ~$52 for 5-6 figures is a decent deal. I know nothing about their quality or anything though. Does anyone else?
I actually really like the scale and love tiny articulated action figures in general so I'll probably take a chance on some.
I especially like this dumpy mech in particular.
And this "Grasshopper" with robo guys.
Anyway, I'm not just going to post the whole catalog, here's a link: https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20170510090726&SearchText=+JOY+TOY+1%3A27+
Thoughts?
>>6321901
Looks like one of the AFWs from Ring of Red
>>6321898
>1/27
So these are about 2.5" tall...barely bigger than a Megabloks minifig. Hmm. Might be cool, but their limbs are so thin I'm worried about durability. Especially the robots. I'm also not sure I like the proportions of the soldiers...huge heads and fat bodies and they clearly skipped leg day. The red guy is the best looking of the bunch cause his armor bulks up his legs. Gunmetal guy on the far right looks okay too, but we can't see him too well.
>>6321901
This is legitimately cool though.
>>6321902
Do I take the chance

>>6321991
Yeah, the heads look a tad big. Although it looks a little better in the picture (which also shows the size). Most of the shots are taken angled down so you have a little bit of distortion I guess.
>>6321999
Trips confirm, take chance.
That mech and the Thor look awesome, I also like some of those chunkier designs. Are all the 12 cm mechs pilot-able? The Thor and the Zeus look like they are, but the Faust and Destroyer are awesome designs that I'm not certain of.
>>6322016
FUCK, deal, but do I get the sick green one, OR THE SICK RED ONE
Even their little vehicles aren't lame who are these people
>>6322016
I think only the $99.99 mechs are pilotable.
Also the troop 6 pack with one of the each of colors has $47.55 for shipping? I feel like that wasn't the case just a little bit ago when I made this thread. That was the set I was looking at order. I don't know wtf up with that.
>>6322019
Red looks less generic.
>>6322019
>>6322020
It's called GREEDY Chinese, that's what you get when you have Jews teaching people about sales and marketing
Also there's a few single figures on ebay if anyone wants to test the waters.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=joy+toy+1%3A27&_sop=15
>>6322025
It's just weird, all the other troop sets are free shipping.
Looks like they have alternate hands.
Green mech and Thor robot are apparently limited quantity, Thor mech is worth jumping on bc ~$40 and free shipping
>>6322034
I'm just not sure it's big enough to warrant $40.
But I'm a lush so maybe.
>>6322041
....oh. Hm. Somehow this is smaller than I expected.
>>6322041
My only real worry with this one specifically is that it's really gummy
>>6322034
No Paypal, rip credit card, wish me luck boys
Damn this line is cool! Look at this bricky old school robot motherfucker!
So I'm going to order the Faust >>6321901 and one 5 pack of guys, but I can decide on which color.
I'm leaning either Huben Special Forces (gray) or UNF X Corps (dark green). Although the tan Sparta Corps are in the running too.
Tan would go with the Faust well, but the others are more generic soldier colors and that appeals to me.
Opinions?
>>6322057
Do you have any Acid Rain stuff? I would say tan if they're solo, black if you pair them with people
>>6322019
Are you a grunt guy or a Char guy?
>>6322059
But they'll be tiny next to Acid Rain.
Although a squad of tacticool pygmies does amuse me.
>>6322062
Fuck grunts
>>6322020
That's unfortunate.
I just want a line of mechs and pilots.
>>6322065
Get red.
>>6322064
Here we go, found the first pic I saw of them on FB.
I guess if you need armored children that would also work.
I'm sitting this one out until someone weighs in on durability and plastic quality. Please report back, guys.
I put my order in. $150 fingers crossed it wasn't a wste
Pretty interesting, but they're definitely in the wrong scale for me.
I would pay double for 50% increase in size
>>6322068
>knees
>>6322068
Yikes. These guys are very small for how expensive they are those legs dont seem promising.
They're sort of mini Acid Rain meets Titan Fall?
Some cool stuff here, I love the robot heli troop transport. Looks like some bootleg acid rain, titanfall and lost planet stuff all rescaled and mashed up into one line. If the quality is decent this will be really cool.
>>6322219
Tbh, I'm gonna scale them with my Mega Bloks soldiers
Wow, fuck. These guys look sort of passable with their helmets on, but with the human heads on the proportions look like absolute shit.
>>6322366
That's actually a good idea.
I wonder how well they'll look within McFarlane's lego sets.
Definitely some cool stuff there. I like the Holy City piece but its waaaay too expensive.
Has anyone bought from this site before? And I would also like to know quality of these. This mech looks super cool
>>6321902
I like this a lot too
>>6321898
This is really sick and is gonna look cool next to ARW's new scale. I wish I could buy them by the singles though lol
>>6322899
keep in mind they are fucking tiny though.
MegaBloks heads look way worse imo
Damn these look awesome but I'll wait until i see how the quality is.
>>6326113
This. And the price.
Will stick to Mega Bloks for now. Plus I feel like they are sturdier figures.
I just got my shipping notice boys!
>>6328046
Awaiting images with comparisons to GI Joes and MegaBlok figures. McFarlane building set comparisons would be appreciated too.
>>6328046
hopefully the quality won't disappoint you
>>6332734
I'm expecting a gummy but fun feel, or brittle plastic dissapointment
Fucking Singapore
>>6334938
Has anyone gotten theirs? I'm really hoping these turn out good.
These look cool but the prices are killer, fuck.
>>6325690
I've bought from aliexpress a bunch. Never had problems, they have the same policy as ebay pretty much, they usually side wit hthe customer if problems rise. I doubt a multi million dollar chinese webmarketplace would bother scamming people. If in doubt, check /csg/ the "chink shit general" on the technology board. They are resident experts on dealing with this stuff.
>>6334938
FINALLY, package 1. I still haven't gotten my robots, but I got the figure
>>6343304
Right out the package the joints aren't gummy at all and actually have some small almost ratchets. The feet are great and are one of the best things about it. The human head actually looks awesome and the weathering is dark and sick.
>>6343305
Size comps incoming:
>>6343320
>>6343324
>>6343326
His backpack is removable and comes with 3 options
>>6343328
>>6343329
>>6343331
The head joint is way in the body, but after removing the backpack it's pretty easy to remove. He has 3 heads.
This one is just the 1st head with a helmet glued on, it looks horrible
>>6343332
Robot helmet. I don't have a figure with me, but from memory this feels close to the size of MASK figures and with this helmet he really feels like a MASK characters
>>6343334
He comes with 4 extra hands for holding his guns, but they're tiny. Not just hand tiny but peg hole tiny.
>>6343337
The only way the hand work is balanced upright (so it doesn't work)
>>6343339
The only gun he can kind of hold he doesn't hold well
>>6343342
the guns stock is absurd
>>6343351
Here he is holding Cables psitol
>>6343353
Group shot with various small guys. He's such an awkward scale
>>6343354
>>6343354
Overall:
$12
Awesome weathering for $12. Not bad, limited poseability but nowhere near what was expected. Great feet. Baby ratchets.
He's good if you want a small Prison Break guy in Quake world. HE feels like a Qauke character with Prison Break guys noggin
>>6343362
>>6343354
Yeah the scale kills it for me but would still like to see the robots from that line with some of the MB figures.
>>6322014
Oh, that's actually not as tiny as the scale sounds.
Why that scale? I kinda get it as another third of 1/18, but it seems very strange. Doesn't scale with anything else I'm aware with. 1/24 is a hair closer to 1/20 and fits in with at least one other line, for example.
>>6343362
So, is the plastic good?
Thanks for the review and the pictures man. I'll wait for ypou review of the robots, but you've convinced me to get a few of these guys. Thanks!
>>6343721
The plastic feels great, the hands and feet are kind of gummier, but its fine for the feet, but for the hands meh. I think this figure has different hands than most of them, so this one has shitty outlier hands
Mega Bloks guns scale really well, he just can't hold it that well
>>6343757
damnn I'm gonna have to pick a couple up.
The day has come
>>6346522
A bit beat up but no Styrofoam to cut through, thank god
>>6346525
First up is weird dumpy yellow robot
>>6321901
\
Really cool lil box design
>>6346527
Back of the box shows other silhouettes but I have no idea which is which and which is my other robot
>>6346529
Cracking open a cold one
>>6346533
he comes with a little baggy accessory so maybe another soldier
>>6346536
It's a guy, but not a poseable just a model guy. With the same removable footstand as >>6343304
>>6346541
>>6346543
Robot can look up, his turret pivots a lil, and his arms kind of flap around
>>6346545
>>6346549
>>6346552
Figure comparison
>>6346560
>>6346561
Onto the cool guy. So his box is similar, but doesn't have any of the silhouettes >>6346529
on any sides. The graphics slide off an dit's a black box. Mines a bit crunched so it was harder, but fine
>>6346563
>>6346567
So this mess comes out of the bag
>>6346571
The big boy gun is hot, very not paint, looks scratched and dirty
>>6346571
So the guys hands are tiny and hard to pop in, so you have to slowly twist them in. This guys a fucking turd.
>>6346574
Rob Riggle lookin motherfucker
>>6346574
So the pin for his whole chest swivel is just this. So if it was to stay in firmly it wouldn't swivel, and for them to make it swivel it's stupid loose.
>>6346580
Fully assembled, maybe I can make that bag look better
>>6346581
It has to peg into his back through his vest, aint happening. These 2 tiny wholes will never align
>>6346583
Let's put one of those cool heads on! Oh... oh
So the heads on a double ball joint, and I can't get it out of the head. So we're stuff with Rob Riggle
>>6346586
I can put this ugly helmet on him though. yay.
>>6346587
All 3 humans together, they're all top down different figures.
The 1st feels like a big model train kit guy, but looks nice.
Rob Riggle is fucking AIDS, his feet are on tiny shit ball joints, his waist is on a post that wont stay in, the baby hands barely hold anything, I can't change his head because it's on a double balljoint, and I can't get a backpack to look good because the ribber vest.
Wentworth Miller is the best of all of them, his feet are great, his waist is great, his heads swap, his backpacks plug in. But his hands don't hold anything. And he's the shortest
None of these figures feel like they were made by the same person. They feel like they were painted but the same person.
>>6346567
How does the Robot Scale with MU and ML?
>>6346603
Thanks for all the pics!
>>6346616
I was gonna save size comparison for end but here ya go
>>6346622
>>6346616
>>6346624
>>6346616
>>6346625
>>6346616
Review for red fucker.
His box says he's the green guy.
He looks sick
>>6346628
Cockpit opens and there's a nice padding surprise, which seems unnecessary
>>6346631
Unnecessary until you realize the cockpit is removable
>>6346622
Awesome! Thankyou!
>>6346633
>>6346638
Trying to take the seat out, sit someone in it, and then put it in doesn't really work
>>6346640
But if the seats in it and then you smash a guy in there, it.... works? Well the lid closes
>>6346642
DO GOOD FIGURES FIT
>>6346644
yes it just looks bad
>>6346645
Poseability:
He does a lot. All the standard swivels. Everything is pretty solid. i don't know the extend of his leg pose ability uptop because it feels la little NECA sticky. and NECA sticky is dangerous
>>6346647
Gorgeous back
>>6346651
Yellow flaps move on his legs, adds a lot to the detail and look
The big guy could scale really well with 1:18 as a mech of some sort
>>6346653
But can he hold his FUCKING gun?
>>6346657
We got him holding it! But can he hold it like a gun??
>>6346658
YES, THE FIRST JOYTOY FIGURE THAT CAN SHOOT HIS GUN LIKE A GUN
>>6346660
His ratchet feet don't really ratchet to anything, any they're my only real concern about this figure. They're just not that firm
>>6346662
Closing thoughts:
Cool robots.
Shit humans.
Big red is prolly equally cool in green, he;s a hundred bucks and so far, feels pretty worth it, maybe jsut pair him with more cheaper robots from the website.
Little yellow guy is horrible in this scale, but he scales really well with the tiny tiny Diaclone guys, so he's RAD with them.
Red bot I bet would scale great with the Play Arts Kai Titanfall bot. He scales really well with Mega Bloks soldiers and would look fine with Acid Rain (prolly especially with their new scale)
Diaclone guys scale with the ladder on the back
>>6346673
He scales with the lid to, but it doesn't open
>>6346676
Alrite that's all for these guys, let me know if you have any requests
>>6346681
>>6346671
neat
>>6346529
Okay I am definitely interested in the big ass robots on the right there. Are those the 100 bucks ones?
>>6346574
adam jensen: the toy
>>6346525
are these japanese, chinese, what country are these from?
>>6346881
Everything feels pretty good, some joints I'm just unsure of. Like they flex ina way that suggests movement but like some NECA figures I could just break something. Its quality reminds me of some early Pacific rim figs. If you like the details (they're great), like the scale and the look, do it. There aren't enough figures like this period and it's sick, but I would NOT recommend any of the little people, they blow ass
