I'm the only one I'm aware of that collects these on here.
>>
>>6315373
I think I have a few of these from way back. If I remember correctly it was the first thing I ever imported.
>>
>>6315365
I don't think I've ever seen one of these posted on /toy/
>>
>>6315402

Is this customizable? This is what the medabots d-arts should have been man
>>
>>6315365
If you're talking about strictly toys that's going to be a bit difficult as when you break it down everything kinda falls into something that someone else is going to collect. It's going to end up being something like collectible figurines like you or >>6315373 posted.

I for example collect these.
>>
>>6315453
Or if you are talking about something that is a fairly common thing to collect but you don't think anyone on /toy/ also collects them, I also collect shoes. Don't think anyone else on here does.
>>
>>6315412
I only have one but to my knowledge yes.
>>
>>6315412
pretty sure >>6315402
is from danball senki, also released as LBX in North America, didn't really catch on here, but there were a lot of neat model kits released in Japan
>>
>>6315455

Well I wouldn't say I "collect" shoes, but I have a fair amount accumulated from my youth
>>

There's some fire in that shot. You have my respect.

You and ever other ghetto child. Liquidate those and buy more toys with them.
>>
>>6315365
Psssh, you don't even have the clear variants! Apparently you don't collect PSO that hard, OP.
>>
If you've ever seen them mentioned on /toy/ I can pretty well guarantee it was me seeing if anyone gave a shit (no one does).

I think what I had of them was Bolder, Granite, Tombstone, Sticks ^ Stones, the two big beasts (one had 4 legs a pincer tail and a horn, the other 2 legs and wings), and the vehicle with the conveyor belt and the tongs.

I have a few.. definitely want more, though

I don't own any of these yet, but I want a couple of Ragnarok Online figures. Prices on them are fucking insane with eBay, and they all come from China.. which is kind of sketchy.

Haven't been able to find any on Mandarake or YAJ

i have a couple of these.

Where do you get these?

Also, I collect animal crossing stuff.
>>
>>6315707
Damn, I'm impressed. I have the one full set and the equivalent clear variants but I never put the clear ones together, either.
>>
>>6315705
That's neat and all but dusting those things is a pain. I've got around ten and that seems like too much for me.
Why have Polly sign a Dalek?

I collect the vintage Saint Seiya figures, which by itself isn't unique, (on /toy/ it might be). However, I also collect the bootlegs of the same line, especially the Taiwanese ones that mimic the original Bandai releases. Most of my collection is back home, so the only photo I have is this one that's a year old. My collection has grown since then.

>>
>>6315455
My dad has over 70 pairs of Chuck Taylors. I have some too but I have less because I spend my money on toys and instruments, and I wear the shit out of my shoes since I wear them to work and everywhere else, so I usually only have like 4-6 good pairs that I actually keep around. I don't think I ever willingly threw any away but I definitely have some in storage that I would never wear again.
>>
>>6316153

>>
>>6315455
The hell is the deal with the overlap between shoe people and toys? I know so many people online that collect toys and shoes.
>>
>>6317781
in my opinion these are the people who collect things just because other people think they are valuable, or they enjoy the hunt, etc

basically kids who never grew out of being the "first kid on the block" mentality

>>

I collect shoes because there's a lot it has in common with collecting toys. Building a collection of something you can also enjoy that can be displayed yet doesn't necessarily just sit there and gather dust. There's lines you can collect, occasional cool limited shit to hunt for, holy grails all that kinda stuff.

Call it childlike if you want but if so it might as well call any kind of collecting that, since I'd regard any form of collecting to be motivated by more or less the same factors.
>>
>>6315365
I love Phantasy Star Online. Do you collect the RAcaseal model kits as well? There was a Chogokin Elenor that was pretty great.

I just have a few plamo and the Chogokin myself, but I also found garage kits for the old 2003 microman toys on Mandarake. They should still be there if you're interested. It's definitively worth having in your collection. Just put in microman and go through the shit.
>>
>>6316804
Turn them to face the window. Put creepy dim lighting behind it and freak your neighbors out.
>>
>>6317908
>basically kids who never grew out of being the "first kid on the block" mentality

I wonder if the reason so many people collect is because we don't gather anything in the wild anymore. We were hunters and gatherers afterall.
>>
>>6317781
>The hell is the deal with the overlap between shoe people and toys? I know so many people online that collect toys and shoes.
It just stands out because it's weirder than people who collect toys and comics, cards and toys, pogs and toys, coins and toys, video games and toys, toys and books, models and toys. Overlaps like these make sense, while people who collect articles of clothing? Pretty weird, but it exists and will stand out when it's mentioned.

>>6318365
hoarding is a fact of life for most animals and perfectly normal... to a point. Once it reaches a point that isn't normal, it's called hoarding.
It's akin to how people who watch movies aren't called anything, but people who read comics are considered collectors/hobbyists. Both are hobbies, but because watching a movie is so common, it isn't considered one.

Also, is OP's image a reference to the stolen prototypes from SEGA's booth in e3 2003? Or what are they from?

Respect. I really like shoes too, my obsession started back with skateboarding and slowly got a little more Hypebeasty over the years. I never had a lot of money to drop on Js or anything, but I'm still happy looking at my shoe rack even if it's full of rather common stuff. It's memories. Plus I like having plenty of pairs cause it's fun to wear different shoes every day.

Probably the "rarest" kicks I have are the Jordan 1 old love new love pack. It's not much, but fuck it, I was a grimy kid who mostly blew out all my shoes skating.
>>
>>6317920
I really want some sixth vision stuff. I like the god complex stuff mainly but it's so expensive even for 1/6

I used to be really into hilarious transfomers/mecha knockoffs, but gave most away.

Now I kinda just collect elephants. But they have to be specific elephants, I can't be out looking for an elephant and it has to come into my path by luck/catch my eye, or be a gift from somebody. Saves me from overloading the collection.
>>
I have a whole shelf full of werewolves figures/plush and things that look like them. It's probably the bulk of what I collect because most other toys I get are random characters or whatever.
>>
>>6318591
>Also, is OP's image a reference to the stolen prototypes from SEGA's booth in e3 2003? Or what are they from?

I think they're trading/gashapon/candy figures.
>>
Pretty sure I'm the only adult buying these Fast & Furious cars. Only videos about them on Youtube are people who were sent them by Mattel to shill. I don't know why but I really like them. The small vehicle with 2 inch figure gives me a Wheeled Warriors vibe.
>>
>>6320183
I may buy them once they are on discounts. "Here's a tiny human figure and you can stick it into a car" is not a bad gimmick as far as Mattel's tie-in crap is concerned.
>>
>>6318591

The Hucast models were sold by f-face eden plastics back in 2002.
>>
>>6315453
I have some of those, but so far I've only got two Kousei Takedas. The dude's my favorite character, but I want to grab more of The Front of Armament dudes.
