First for Series 17 Box. But actually everyone's already seen the reviews.
>Friends has the best stuff out now
>Hate the pastel colors
>Most normal colored pieces are currently in use so can't replace
What do.
>>6308606
Heresy.
Most of the time I couldn't care less about castles, but this guy's modular idea is awesome.

Reposting leaks.
Juniors Ninjago movie set.
Destiny's Bounty, Ninjago Temple and Hela sets are GOAT.
>>6308635
Do you think they're purposefully making the DC sets dogshit?
>>6308644
Straight garbage
Minifigures only
>>6308644
I think this was already discussed in a prior thread, but are the POWER BLAST pieces designed like studshooters where they're slightly too large for the hand and are going to crack it eventually
>>6308693
No, just when you press on the long end, the pressure causes them to fly out of the minifig's hand when it loses grasp.
>>6308674
I don't think it's Lego's fault.
>>6308674
There are no good Superheroes sets, DC or Marvel.
>>6308702
nah as someone who likes the marvel flicks the figures are pretty great and sometimes the sets are good too
>>6308573
I don't spot the cute fish girl in any of these Ninjago sets. CMF, I guess?
>>6308719
I think there are two exclusive sets she could be in
what fish is she supposed to be?
New thread when?
>>6308698

>>6308769
Tried to feel out retro man/spaceboy/cornguy and got one mystery pack.
Ended up with spaceboy(!), cornguy(!!!!!), vet (thought her hair was retros helmet rip) and my mystery pack was THE FUCKING ELF I ALREADY HAVE ONE AND I HATED IT THE FIRST TIME REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>6308763
>>6308776
That's a nice haul.
>>6308581
Just because I'm sure somebody will find it interesting, I opened 20 of the bags. 3 corn man, 1 butterfly girl, 2 dwarfs, 2 bakers, 2 cellphone man, 2 rocket boy, 2 retro space hero man, 1 elf, 2 surfers, 2 French man, and 1 vet and bunny. I noticed that several of the duplicates were right next to each other in the box. I guess that could just be random.
Holy fucking shit what the fuck happened this year..
All these leaks look like fucking TRASH, jesus those junior car sets look more interesting then the ninjago movie ones.. That batman stuff once again MEH
Ninjago sets though, wtf is with the green dragon? It doesn't look anything like the dragon on the trailers etc, the boat is average and probably the only buy there besides spinjitsu which is literally for the minifigs..
Also where is the Garmadons mass Shark? I saw a D2C on brickset, so I am assuming it's not leaked yet, but after seeing that dragon I just lost alot of hope..
Do Lego do this often.. drop the ball I mean and make absoloute trash sets for an entire year? All these colours look so shit.. I guess I will save a bucket load of cash, thanks Lego

I wonder how long until LEGO bite the bullet and make WWII tanks and planes. They're running dry on ideas.
>>6308822
They'll just refurbish old themes like they always do
rock raiders => power miners
agents/agents 2.0 => ultra agents
etc
>>6308827
>LEGO Cityer
BUY
>>6308827
I feel like we're long overdue for another water theme.
I loved Atlantis, and my body is ready for another dip underwater.
>>6308827
nexo knights -> next cavaliers
>>6308838
Yeah, but it's just not the same without all the sea monsters.
Though I guess these Ninjago guys also kinda got that fish thing going on.
>>6308723
Good question. I don't really know, she just has a bunch of fins stuck on her.
>>6308834
Another underwater theme would be great. I'm personally hoping for a pirate theme.
>>6308836
lul
Also I built that elves dragon. It's a really nice and endearing build, great mix of molded pieces and brick building. Really pro set.
>>6308644
That Grandmaster fig is hilariously BORING.
Why did they give Jeff Goldblum such a lame fig?
>>6308843
I like that dragon.
>+smart like a science bitch but ain't a bitch
>>6308861
set came with a extra wing too. Odd that a set would come with a extra large/custom piece.
So would you say this is a good leg design for a dragon?
>>6308864
at first glance yeah, but it really depends on how you build up the foot/mask that ball joint. Keep going, I think it's looking good so far.
>>6308573
>>That giant mech
We EXO-Force?
>>6308864
reminds me of green nrg dragon, but yeah looks good senpai keep it up
>>6308573
I WANT ALL OF IT. I hope we're getting the jellyfish mech in a second wave though. That was the one I was looking forward to the most. The ship is beautiful along with the temple. I may have to drop everything else for this theme.
>>6307748
lol, I have more red ninjas than I can count. All the cheaper Ninjago sets have either him or Cole.
>>6308633
This looks incredible.
>>6308674
I think it's a problem with licensed stuff in general. Everything is based on something else instead of an original idea where they're free to design it from the ground up. They're in a box and told they can only work with that vehicle or place from the start.
>>6308573
WE WILL FINALLY GET MORE GREEN FEATHERS
>>6308908

fukken saved
If the teddy is exclusive I'm going to blow a gasket. This fucker will be at least $30 on its own.
This is Sally, the creation of a very poor inventor. Being made of salvaged odds and ends, she lacks the fancy plating and high-tech gadgetry all the cool robots have, something she's often ridiculed for.
She wants to help support her creator but it's hard to find work when your specs are so low. One day, she hopes to obtain enough upgrades to finally make her fit in.
>>6308941
>She still uses v4.1!
>>6308941
That yellow arm looks great!
>>6308573
Wow, this Ninjago movie might be one of the all around best themes I've seen in a long time.
It's got some fun ideas, feels somewhat like good ol' Orient Expedition, has a 11/10 Boat set. Even the smaller weak sets have some good ones (The Ninja training one and the bridge one.)
Really impressed with these. If only other themes could be this good.
Never, ever thought I'd say that about Ninjago.
>>6308946

>>6308961

>>6308822
It'll probably be compared to mega blocks if that happens, as activision helps make the Destiny and CoD lines, So wouldn't be surprised if they make more for the new game
>>6308674
>>6308674
it's the con of having to work within a vacuum. While both sides of the capedom have had bad sets DC/WB has always been a tight ass about what does and doesn't get made. Basically getting anything made that isn't promoting a movie or game is pulling teeth on the developers part.
If you want a interesting story read up on the drama of the Vs card game and how Upper Deck stated they hated working with DC because they were so costly on revisions and refusing anything that would be a cost saver UD.
>visited 4 different stores that sell Lego
>no s17 in any of them

>>6308994

>>6308822
>Lego is *supposedly* running dry on ideas
>so instead of simply coming up with new ideas they're just gonna go against a rule that they've had in place of 85 years
Yeah, you're fucking delusional. If you want ww2 planes and tanks then you're gonna have to make them yourself. You'll die holding your breath waiting for LEGO to do it.
>>6309002
Yup. All lego figs with that style of skirt/robe are like that, because it uses studs and not the leg pegs. You'd think in the 20+ years they'be made figures like this that they'd make a mould of a slope with the leg pegs but no, they haven't. Nature of the beast.
Mostly unrelated, but it triggers me how little of the minidolls are compatible with normal minifigs. At Least the hair/hats are, but fuck I'd prefer it if they had standard hands/heads, or at least had separate moveable legs that affixed to the standard leg peg. The incompatibility issues are nowhere near galidor levels, but still...
>>6309002
The fact that lego still uses that shit technique still bothers me.
I love the Elven queen but I need that QTπ baker
>>6308779
>I noticed that several of the duplicates were right next to each other in the box. I guess that could just be random.
No, I believe that the boxes are actually sorted by figure, at least to some degree. I always feel out the figures I want and I tend to find the same figures next to each other in freshly opened boxes a lot too.
>>6309000

Should've gotten him when I had the chance. At least there's still Mixels floating around if I ever bother.
Funnily enough, even then I would only own non humanoid Mixels. I only have Mesmo and Lewt build.I've gotten others, but they've gone straight to parts bin, but those two I liked enough to actually build
I bought the Silent Mary while I was on my honeymoon. Probably the priciest Lego set I've ever bought, but I can't wait to put it together.

Holy hell, I may actually get it this week. At least some people are competent, except fucking gooks and their golden week shit who won't move my Amiami order.
Why arent all minifigs fleshies from this point forward? Bring me ONE good argument.
How does S@H handle backorders? I ordered AT-ST yesterday and it's now in backorder, but I did also order some in stock items. Do they ship the once they have first, or do they wait until they've everything in stock?
>>6309257
Give us ONE good argument why should they all be fleshies.
>>6309257
A majority of lego's consumers like the yellow minifigures, and it's a large part of their brand identity, and has been for decades.

Agreed. I was really looking forward to Ninjago movie sets because TLM sets were exceptionally creative and Ninjago waves in the past few years, especially the ghostly spirit waves and the steampunk waves, were incredible. And then we get... this.
You guys, the Q1 2017 Lego Ideas candidates have been announced:

Yeah, Lego wanted Miniature DOLLS compatible with their system, but the Mega Bloks/Construx Monster High Mini-dolls blow them out of the water with ball-joint hips and double swivel peg knees.
>>6308783
Clearly they've assigned all of their best builders to the new Star Wars sets. Looking forward to them greatly.
>>6309296
Rooting for the Quest Builder, Venetian Houses, and the Power Rangers set. We'll probably get the boring Jeep though, just watch.

The Lego Haunted Mansion was rejected but they approved...The Office? the fuck is wrong with people?
>>6309337
You don't like the hit American mockumentary The Office™? That set is ingeniously designed, it even includes the hole that Andy punched in the wall! Haha, so funny!
>>6309296
The Sega machines aren't too farfetched. Dimensions has shown they're on good terms with both Sega and arcade machines.
Quest builder looks interesting, but I don't think it has enough appeal.
>>6309349
Hey, I like the Office™! It's certainly a lot better of a set than the Big Bang Theory™ one.
>>6309296
We wont get the fucking awesome venetian houses or watermill (obviously scaled down)

Not him, but it needs some detail to break up the monotony of the four curved pieces. I'd look at a window or a fastback designs. There's a ton of shit you can put on the back of a car to rice it out, like louvers, or hoses for a sci-fi look.

If there is, I don't know where. The name of the company is Kazi. I just noticed that this >>6309809 doesn't come up when you search X-Agents.
That doesn't surprise me, though. For a few weeks, I thought I was out of luck because it wasn't showing up in the search, but I found it in somebody's store somehow.
There's this list: http://downtheblocks.blogspot.com/2017/05/kazi-ky6601-ky6607-x-agents-minifigs.html which has at least one set I've never seen (the one with the blue ring-shaped thing and the green car with the huge front wheels).
This seller https://www.aliexpress.com/store/2061007

>All these anons finding S 17 minifigs
>Work doesn't have them
>Target , five below and Walmart don't have them
>even called up toys r us, nearest one being an hour drive away, and they don't have them either
I hate living in the middle of nowhere USA, I hope they start showing up in a few days, otherwise this could end up like a repeat of S 15 where it completely passed us by and nit a single store in the area got them in.
>>6309924
Hah! Oh, if only I could afford that.
I make $15 orders on Aliexpress, and that gets me a double armload of individual knockoff minifigs that I can slowly add to my desktop army.
I've made $15 orders on Bricklink, but I've found that usually those orders contain maybe 2 USD worth of actual product and a suspicious amount of packaging that I get from China without paying for.
>but you pay for it in the price of the product
Yeah, so for a single minifig I pay .01 USD for the product and .78 USD for shipping and handling, whereas from Bricklink (for example) I just paid 8.50 for a 40-cent green racing helmet.
Yeah, real Lego is great, but shit, man.
>buying chinkshit that you can only sell to retards at yardsales and not genuine LEGO that appreciates in price over time and you can sell at any time to get in and out of the game
fucking dumbasses. the only time a bootleg is acceptable is when you want to buy something hoarders have made nigh unobtainable like davy jones or revan. otherwise if you buy a $10 figure for $1 you're just a fucking dumbass
>>6309944

Thanks, that Batman wave is a blessing and a curse, I was able to get every fig I wanted but where I work we're on our 5th and 6th boxes, and now that the hype is down they're not selling too well anymore, so product isn't moving.
Also a quick tangent that the amount of obscure villains in plastic is insane, gonna have to brick link the rest at this point because lego thinks I'm crazy enough to spend $60 on Tarantula and Zebraman.
>>6309974

I don't buy Lego much, anyone here have a good idea how good the Tie Advance vs A Wing set is? One store has it on clearance for 64 but I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not, and if the set's good enough

I see people asking questions on sets here all the time.
You only see mini-figures and ldd post on here for a reason. No one here buys sets they just post about them and complain. Better off asking on bricklink forums or any other site but this one.

A-Wing is an excellent ship IF you like that color scheme. It's pretty much the definitive model.

I have a bunch of them, including the one in that review (here >>6308177). I also have a bunch I haven't opened yet. Pic related is one I have put together and shot.
If you ask me, the quality is comparable to Lego. I know I'm not making any friends with that. Maybe I'm just too dense to tell the difference. They feel the same, the clutch feels the same, they make the texture of the sound is the same when you paw through looking for a piece. I don't have any Lepin sets so I can't compare.
I bought the X-Agents ones because I thought they were cool. I don't feel any special allegiance to Lego, even though I respect it for being the highest quality.

fuck, I love the vocab people have. I think there was a study on this about how different kids developed different words for parts depending on where they lived.
eg. no 9. Me and my siblings called that a Booster, very specific part, form the old x-wings. Cousins called it a rocket engine. Infuriated us. Similarly click-hinges were called "Crankys" 33. "Roundys" and the hing bricks "Up-and-downys"
Its a shame bc now after growing up and moving out I just use the regular terms.

You need UV rays to accelerate the process (i.e. put them in the sun). If a day under the sun with dilute peroxide doesn't help, then you're dealing with staining, rather than the typical ABS discoloration, and you need to look into other methods for cleaning.

I don't whine about chinkbricks. I don't even whine about Lego (TM) brand building block toy products. I whine about people who like certain very specific configurations of Lego (TM) brand building block toy products.
It makes me irritated when people like small City sets with cops and robbers. Ooh, that really gets to me.
People who like DC and Marvel licensed sets really annoy me. I think the sets themselves are pretty neat, but the people who like them just really need to stop.
The guys who like Star Wars licensed stuff? Man, oh man. Don't get me started. Well, okay, you already got me started. What's the deal with these people? They strike me as the kind who would really like to see more of this stuff, as if there weren't enough already.
Bionicle is pretty cool in its own way, but people who like them just need a good punch in the tits.
And what about these quogglers who can't shut up about modulars? I swear, I'd rather listen to the rattly body panels of some audiofag's car when he has his shitty stereo turned up to 11.
People who hate vehicleshit should shut up. Just shut up.

Yeah, you've got your bag-feeling technique down, alright, whatever, stop your crying over how they're not out yet anywhere near you, nobody cares, just sit on your thumbs and be patient.
You know what's really cool? Nexo Knights. You know what's not cool at all? People who like Nexo Knights. Jeez, that's all they talk about.
You know what I think would be best? Just shutting down /lg/. That way everyone can be happy.

It's a Kre-o helmet, from one of the cheaper convention sets. Warning: It doesn't fit on Lego heads, they're mostly too tight for it to go on all the way. I'm a heathen trying to use Star Lords body for army building, so it's a bootleg, which is why it fits.

>>6311508
See, the concept of an insertable sex toy made of Lego (TM) brand buildable block toy product is sound, in theory.
In practice, you'd have to deal with the difference in friction between the bricks' clutch and the inner surface of the orifice you're using it in (vadger, poover, muncher, etc). It could be anything from annoying to problematic to painful to have bricks come apart while plunging the Lego (TM) brick block buildable toy product dildolio in and out.
That's why you'd want to put something in place that would keep the construct together as a unified whole. A device uniquely qualified both by shape and by intent would be a standard latex or polyeurethane sheathe d'penor, aka a condom.
This would ensure that even if some of the elements of the construct became detatched, all the parts would be held together as a single more-or-less streamlined body, easily removed from this or that bodily orifice with plentiful mucous membranes.
That's all I was trying to say.

not him, but the tracks (my first ever tracks) have no real friction on their own on most hard surfaces

But this also makes it not do the cornering where one track moves forth the other back.
This triggers my autism

ohh I see
The blue Creator robot has the same thing, and it's a white wheel that doesn't match anything else, reeeee
