seriously what gives?

Because Transformers are big and Beast Wars was one of the most popular shows and Tarantulas was a key character. That and carded examples of 20 year old toys with major collector markets boost the sale. I don't think they ever made a new version of him either.

any help?
seriously I'm struggling here.
I got mine a few years ago, a Japanese Beast wars Metals Tarantulas, for $30, becauseI expected BW nostalgia to flair up in a few years. The transmetal one was funny to look for, because of the JP name of Tarantulas(Tarans) and theJP name of Transmetals("Metals) , so the search was for "Tarans Metals". At least I thought it was funny.
There's a two pack on ebay of JP Tarantulas vs Rhinox for $103, which makes it a bit easier to swallow than just one figure for $100. Your better chance is stalking Mandarake for "D-44 Beast Wars" or , where he's gone for as low as 1200 yen, or about $10. The ID # for the original release is D-4, the vs release with Dinobot is VS-4, the Transmetal regular release is D-44, and the TRansmetal vs pack release is VS-44.
Idk anon but you better find it before the 80s toy expo tomorrow

I know, hence the "stalk Mandarake" part. It'll pop up, eventually, just gotta be patient.
