Dragon Ball Shodo Thread

Too small, wish they'd been scaled properly. Kamen rider is a bit better, but they're nicely poseable and detailed

I really like them, except for the legs on the Vegeta/Bardok body. The hips don't work as well as the other bodies and the way they handled the knee makes the legs look poorly-proportioned when you pose them. It's a shame, too, because I really like the Goku and Broly figures.

I like them, they are great little desk toys. However, I have a lot of issues with them.

To keep it short, my main issues are character selection, price, and scale (compared to similar lines like Shodo VS). I could let the latter two slide easily if the character selection wasn't the same old bull every DBZ line does.

I'd be much happier if they put at least 4 characters in a wave and made at least one B or C list character per wave.

I want GI Joe scale (more specifically Shodo VS scale). The problem is these aren't remotely big enough to look good next to decent. Even Scoop, an old 80's/90's Joe, is taller than Goku. Rider 1 in this image is from the Shodo VS sister line and he dwarfs Goku.

I'm pretty loose with scale, but these DBZ Shodo figures are just to small (and use to be smaller, believe it or not).

I was so disappointed when I picked up the first shodo release. I was going to have a wall dedicates to the evolution of Goku, but 3/6 (?) are roughly 1/2 inch shorter than the rest and they dont line up properly.

Faces and proportion, even articulation are better than SHF half the time.

I don't mind scale, I don't collect many 1/18, I do mind the scale disparity WITHIN the line, like Nappa.

Price is great, it puts to shame anything in the related scale with that articulation and paint/sculpt.

You really have to be a poorfag to complain about a figure this nice being 6 bucks.

I hope they do early Dragon Ball, I want a 3 pack with Kuririn, kid Goku and Roshi.

Also hope they do more stuff like One Punch Man or DC.

Bandai's candy division is great. Shodo Vs are the some of the only figures that are better in terms of price and fun, I think. I always reiterate this but I really think a One Piece Shodo line would be amazing. For how popular it is One Piece is criminally lacking in action figures.
