Any cheap toys that are genuinely good or you just love them for some reason?
Pic related, this was a dollar general toy
You're gonna have to give us more info on that guy, it looks rad
Personaly I fell in love with the Gundam AGE GB series. Chunky, modular and reasonably articulated children toys, MSRP was kinda high but they shelfwarmed like crazy so technically they are cheap now
Weren't those guys part of the MARS line? I don't remember specifically I recall there being these figures that were all made of ball joints just like that guy

MARS Heroes. I had a bunch, really cool looking robots if nothing else.

Mars Heroes. Dollar General was where I found mine over the years.
assault kingdom stuff tends to be kinda fun
>>6288459
Yea but the only place I've seen then is books a million...where else are they?
>>6288720
you won't find assault kingdom that easily anymore sadly. Line is retired and replaced by Universal Unit which is pretty much excatly AK in model kit form. Hell they even share all the same seam lines.
You can find them in most Barnes and Nobles, I have yet to see a hot topic carry them(although I never really like to look too hard in there) but I know some of them did have Assault Kingdoms. Sometimes Hobby Town USA carries them, but their stock seems much more dependent on individual owner then other chain stores. Maybe MAYBE gamestop might start carrying them, cause I recall hearing that apparantly they are beginning to stock Gunpla.

OP here again with a shameless self bump because of these guys. I had SO many of the older figures around 2004. These guys were great little figures and I think I remember them being $2 a pop. They're still pretty cheap, and it warms my heart to see that the line is still around and bigger than ever. They have mech suits and boats and planes and all kinds of shit now

Assault Kingdom figures are a lot of fun, I wish I had gotten into the line sooner.

Well, here's a fine addition to my wishlist alongside Gundam Portent that I found out about today. Thanks for sharing.

My first and only AK is the Dom. Technically, it was my first Gundam related item.
>>6288458
Impressive piece count for what's a non-block figure.
>>6288165
This is some cool shit.
>>6288458
You can get these at ross right now, alongside the bigger transformer ripoffs. The little guys are noce, big ones okay. Have a full set of the little dudes.

Pic of the mech suits?
I wish I could find more cool chinese figures localy, my 3rd world country was a haven for the stuff in the '00s but it's all been replaced by crappy bootlegs of FOTM stuff.
Best I could find was a 10 inch tall godzilla made of some unidentifyed type of plastic and a hilarious looking batman

>Have a full set of the little dudes.
mind posting some pics?

one of the things i never do with quality toys is take them apart, i love to take things apart, but i can never justify it when i get a new figure.
Whenever i get a super cheap toy i usually take it apart, and salvage the accessories and make really bad customs. I wish i could do that with more expensive toys, but i'm a collector first, then a modder.

And they're like, no more than $10 or $12 at Walmart. Pretty damn cool if ya ask me. I just wish they had these when I was a kid.

The bigger guys are pretty good. Blue is my favorite. The aliens are good figures too. The whole line honestly is impressive as hell for its price point.
And they scale pretty well with anything 3 3/4 for those interested

>Mars Heroes
Was checking futaba and came across the same toyline under a diferent name, and they cost almost the same at 100 yen each

I wish I can find them where I live too

I got one of those aliens on the right, and wouldn't mind buying a couple more if they restock. Kinda remind me of the bad guys from Titan A.E. Would be fun to make some custom 1:18 figures from that movie.
Dollar Tree seems to keep these military toys in stock. The figures they come with are completely awful but the accessories are nice for a dollar. They'd probably look even better with painted and detailed.
>>6288165
they feel like Xevoz slightly less cool cousin
Pose skeletons my dude.
bump for interest
Any cheap ways to get some accessories that wouldn't look out of place with movie power ranger toys?

I hated the way the blue guy looked in this set so i always ble whim up
