I'd highly suggest a Unicorn and/or Banshee RD to add to your Unicorn mix. Be sure to pick up a 'Full Action' version (any Unicorn that is RD number 104 or higher, they all used the same base frame from 104 forward and Banshees were only made using the Full Action frame).

No matter which version you pick up (they're sold in both modes as they cannot transform), they're all excellent, highly articulated RDs with plenty of accessories.

And yea, as >>6280459 said, Kshatriya comes with the high recommendation. The Besserung/Repaired version is equally rad if you need more bell pepper if your life!

Can confirm, the Kshatriya Besserung/Repaired is pretty snazzy as well. I haven't looked in a long time now, but last time I checked Mandarake it hadn't risen too far over its original retail price on the secondary market.

Having both also lets you use all the extra bit effects parts and stand pieces on your regular Kshatriya to have all 24 of them out at the same time if you want, or to use more of the better/more useful pieces for getting them in the positions you want. I mean, who's going to have their Besserung/Repaired posed firing its silly missiles, after all?

It's pretty hard NOT to make the Kshatriya cool, lets be honest.

But yeah, that's the Shield Funnel web exclusive version to represent it how it wanders about for a good chunk of the final OVA episode of Unicorn. Regular stand, act 5 arm, plus 3 jointed arms with extensions to put the shield bits on. It also has the pieces to mount them on the arms and back if you want them stowed for some reason. Also has a special joint piece to mount all 3 shields in the circular formation it uses several times. Only one beam magnum though, the other is from the Full Armor Unicorn.

And man, 6k yen isn't a bad price for it at all.

Not him, but that's not a fair comparison really. The original Dunbine anime didn't have that level of detail, and except for Sirbine and Zwauth, the RD's are staying faithful to the anime designs.

Now I agree with you that Sirbine and Zwauth should be a bit more accurate to their anime counterparts (I haven't seen that series, but I'll take your word for it), but that shouldn't mean that all Dunbine RD's follow suit.

That's kinda like saying the ANIME sub-line of RDs should have tons of extra details because later Gundam series have more mechanical detail in their designs, when the sub-line is just trying to recreate the look of the simpler animation and design to stay faithful to it.

The Dunbine OVA has more detail because it doesn't actually have animation. All the shots of Sirbine and Zwauth (save for a heavily shadowed second long cut at the end) are stills. As you might guess, the OVA is pretty bad. My guess would be that the OVA/Aura Phantasm stuff isn't going full garage kit on the detailing for price and scale reasons as well as to better fit in with the mostly show accurate regular Dunbine RDs.

I do hope they do Bellvine too though.

As noted, there's plenty of options for nabbing web exclusives. The other anon already mentioned the big ones for web exclusives, but there's several others that do as well. The Sazabi isn't somehow deeply flawed or bad, it's just honestly nothing special. No large amount of detail, no real gimmicks, no huge amount of posability. It suffers the pretty common issues regarding its own rifle getting in its way, the shield is wonky due to sheer size, etc.

Is right about one very particular thing however. It's so damn heavy, and it has such a tiny fucking adapter part for some reason despite having a huge amount of space to work with for an integrated stand attachment point or a larger, better engineered detaching one, that you can't really put it on a Tamashii stand in anything approaching a dynamic manner. At best you could have it sitting straight up on a base Act 5 arm, but anything beyond that is just asking for the adapted itself to let go and fail or for the excess joint arms to fail.

If you like the design and can get it for a reasonable price, it's not so awful that it isn't worth picking up. You just really need to be aware of it having some fundamental limitations they could have, and should have, engineered ways around.

Nah you were right.. there is a certain angle of lighting that is not flattering to RD's. Nuu does a great job but sometimes I do notice his pics fall into this valley of crap lighting.

Also I wouldn't describe RD's as "cheap" at all. The plastic is good and sturdy and the amount of engineering that goes into each figure is insane. There's a heftyness to them, even the skinnier looking robots have this.

One thing I noticed about this figure is it looks very sleek, the color scheme compliments the design well and hides some of the shortcomings of the plastic used. Nubs are minimal.. theres some near the elbow joint and on the shield.. thats it. The shield also seems to be made of a different material than we are used to.. it seems to be the same material that the hands are made out of. Overall it's pretty much what you would expect, aside from the thing with the shield (which is a good choice imo.. it feels and looks a lot better than regular plastic).

Middlemen are dealing with non japanese customers, they know the products would be completely destroyed. Years ago, I won a YJA auction for a complete Kinnikuman manga collection through a proxy service. Asking them to repack your stuff was an extra $12 IIRC. At the time I wasn't aware of the situation and didn't ask for it. I received my manga wrapped in one thin layer of kraft paper with tons of tape added by some worker during transit, two books were missing and the rest was all kind of fucked up.

They're great. A bit on the small side, but surprisingly detailed and solid for their size. The only parts forming is changing between wings with or without hardpoints, or for battroid mode an optional shrunken, single piece wing plate to mimic how they tended to animate the wings smaller in battroid mode. That and the heatshield part replacing the cockpit for battroid. The only other partsforming is the same as any valk, shitty little "perfect transformation" hands versus larger, better detailed fixed-pose hands.

The value is for Hi-Metal VF-1s is actually pretty fair considering the sturdy construction, paint apps, and transformation (relative to how pricey RDs are getting, anyways). So how are Metal Builds? I've never bought one, and while I didn't pre-order this guy, I'm kinda wishing I did. Never owned anything in the line, the price kept me away. For those who own pretty much any Metal Build, would you say the price is worth it?

Related note, some website called Anime Poko still has the F91 for 200 bucks after shipping, smells like bullshit. Any experience?

So I'm trying to order a GM Cannon and I get these messages. I thought this was supposed to be for US and Canadian customers. Can I safely ignore this?

top of the line figure line, can't really say if it's worth it. Some exclusive RDs cost about half of that so compare to that, yeah I say it's worth it.

Biggest drawback is the metal joints will loosen up after frequent use, but I just pose mine every now and then so that's fine. More like a statue with articulation you can pose than a toy that you can smash together and go "pew pew pew boom boom"

The F91 has been allegedly shelf warming in Asia according to my friend in Hong Kong. The price crashed like 15% on the release day, so I'm not sure if that's the reason why you can still pick one up for 200buck, keep in mind the F91 is smaller than most RDs.

The line was insane. I got in line at 8am and it was already about 1000 people deep.
(the line wraps around inside the building and about 75 feet around the corner to the checkout.

It's also worth mentioning that the Zaku sold out before anything else, even Goku. I thought for sure it would be the other way around. If it wasn't for getting lucky with a trade we still would have struck out despite meticulously planning this shit out. I was at Star Wars Celebration and the exclusives there werent nearly as hard to get, and that was a clusterfuck of epic porportions.
