those are actually handy for drying off lego bricks.
>>
>>6281141
Why are your legos wet
>>
That's a nice spaceship OP. What line is it from?
>>
>>6281138
My mum wasn't too happy when I spun that too fast and broke it.
>>
Weird i just bought one of these from ikea this week for 4.99.
>>
>>6281156
Uh you know..those legos just tend to get wet sometimes from random things..haha
>>
Laundry baskets turned upside down made awesome bases and plateaus.

I also repurposed tire pressure gauges to make 4th doctor sonic screwdrivers.

When I would play with my Godzilla toys I would flip over tupperware and pretend that they were buildings and skyscrapers.
>>
I used pic related as grappling hooks for my GI Joes. Drew blood many times.
>>
Radar dish/weapon for GI Joes, 1/1 scale Ninja weapon for roleplay.
>>
I'd play with styrofoam that came with appliances. They were shaped to fit the appliance so it was like a play set to me

These plus a dirt pit equals a Hot Wheels garage like no other!

(thank goodness)

This brings up a serious question; it the Tolkig a good item to try and use for general brick cleaning? I have some bricks I want to wash and don't really know what to use to throw them into my dishwasher. They're old, some have bits of clay and whatnot from being played with and others are simply super dusty.
>>
>>6283380
Same. I would build famous buildings, mini-cities, and random vehicles for my action figures. Big playsets & vehicles weren't idle cause I lived in small apartments...also I was poor as shit.

Empty shelves made great apartments or building interiors for my lego figures.

My dad tied a fishing hook to a string and tied it to a coat hanger for ladder matches with WWE figures
>>

I don't know about that Anon, but i would often build ships and put them to sail on the pool, some times with a crew of army men.
Imagine my frustration the time i built a "Titanic" with weak links in the middle but all it did when it "hit the iceberg" was float in two parts.
>>
>>6283664
>all it did when it "hit the iceberg" was float in two parts.
In the future what you want to do is entomb a couple ball bearings into the wall. Enough to offset the buoyancy of half the ship but not whole ship.

Might take some experimenting.

Growing up poor, I had some knock-off Playmobil and knock-off Lego Duplo. Fortunately they were high qualit knock-offs and Duplo and Playmobil worked together very well scale-wise. Also, Duplo KO sets used a greater variety of parts compared to originals. I found about this when I tried to find out the original sets years later, Duplo had never produced sets that complicated. Anyway, I had several Duplo base-plates and I attached them to top of a cardboard box with those bigger, thicker rubber bands. Thus, I could build top of the box and used the box as a cargo area. Sometimes it was a ship, sometimes it was a castle with a huge dungeon.

did this shit too.
i used pillows and blankets and turn them into terrain for my action figures.
I remember doing this a lot because my parents never could afford to buy me those big play sets.

It's not your fault. The salad spinner clearly suffered from poor build quality. You just alerted her to the fact.

>>

why the hell would someone want to spin a salad
>>
>>6285604
>oh fuck this lettuce is way too wet i don't want to drink this fucking salad
>spin it motherfucker
>>
>>6285606
I've never had this problem
Maybe if the salad sits forever in the fridge it might get like that but salad should be eaten right away any way
>>
>>6285610
I don't want to make you feel inferior here but some of us in the first world like to wash off produce before we eat it.
>>
>>6285612
And I do that with a normal strainer, same as I use with my noodles. No need for a separate device to spin it.

I never thought i'd see the day where someone said that. Portable DVD players weren't popular until I was 18

I eat salads all the fucking time and I never heard of this wet salad problem
>>
>>6285654
>I never heard of this wet salad problem

Hey, I get it man,. I guess some people just like the taste of dirt and spiders in their lettuce.
>>
>>6285654
Don't you rinse your greens before putting them in your bowl? I used to pat them dry with a paper towel, but ever since I got a salad spinner I find it to be quicker and less wasteful. Not OP btw.
>>
>>6281138
I used to use one of those a lot as a kid. Just put a few toys in and spin it as fast as possible, sometimes to the point where the lid would fly off lol. Also would "cryogenically freeze" action figures by putting them in glasses of water in the freezer, then thawing them out later in the sink.
>>
>>6282973
makes for a good U.F.O. too
>>
>>6283986
scary, but fun
>>
>>6283980
This picture is pretty damn accurate.
>>
>>6285653
I don't know how old you are, but they were around for quite a while, since 1998. Maybe OP's family got one before they were popular.

>>6285488

I'm 25 so 1998-2000 definitely sounds about right for the time period I used to play with it.

Used dads empty shaving can, wrapped it with non wrinkled tin foil paper, cut out a Zordon face from a PR magazine, Taped Zordon face on tin foil covered shaving can to make my very own Zordon. Already had a PVC Alfa, and Viewing glob so I was all set.

I did this too, with enough sturdy blankets or good placement you could make tunnels, caves, you just had to get creative about it, its good fun, better than any playset
