Bossfight released a photo of a soon to be assembled Jenny. We're getting closer and closer to seeing painted up figures.

Other pics so far
These are going to be kickstarted, right?
Or do they have retailer support?
>>6278079
No sold through Bossfight's website like they do with their Vitruvian Hacks line. They likely wont be in shops.
>>6277808
good, it's me or she is a little too much heady? like... extremely heady?
>>6277808
Oh, is this the one that's overly articulated?
>Can't wait. That's exactly what we Bucky fans wanted.
I'll hold out for the Mexican 5poa bootleg.
>>6278328
The unproduced figure in the 90's also. Just to make her stand they eliminated her leg articulation giving her only 3 points of articulation. And to help her stand her tail propped her up.
>>6278880
that thing was an abomination, I want something decent this time...
>this news
>>6279041
A kinda want the vintage one just to say I have it even though I know it sucks. Someone did a figure review of it on youtube awhile back. Some figures were painted silver and others were vac-metal. Ultimately she was going to end up painted had she been produced.
The new one is looking pretty good so far. Bossfight is known for doing sexy female sculpts so the final product should like nice. We're getting closer and closer to seeing a full painted figure.
>>6277808
guys, please support the line so that we can get Deadeye. and then ill support the line
>>6279476
>thinking we will not support the feline ayy lmao with a fetish for young humans
>There will never be a Mimi figure
Why even live
>>6280464
>>6279398
>Kid travels to a furry dimension.
In retrsopective it´s kinnda creepy.
>>6280014
anon... we must not lost faith...
>>6280464
>never made
>never
>NEVER
those things look so cool, those designs, those colors... I can see myself collecting all of them
Meanwhile we live in a world Funko pops are a success...
>>6280915
He gets trapped there for a while in the comics when his parents pull the plug on the portal (hippies 'saving energy')...
sooo... when this line will be released, how much figures we will have, only 2? we will have more in next "waves"?
>>6282769
I think they'll also do Deadeye, and a Stormtoad. I'm hoping they also finally get around to do KOMPLEX- he was planned for the original toyline (and would have had a lenticular lens sticker for his face)
Either way, I don't think they'll ever do this...
>>6279631
>>6282866
but anon, how big is that thing? in the game was enormous if I remember well not sure if BF can do something like this and not get ruined (but I admit this thing is cool)
>>6283587
The old KOMPLEX toy never left the drawing board, but based on the (also unreleased) Total Terror Toad, KOMPLEX would have been about the same size as all the others. Hell, Willy should have been taller than most, but they didn't take scale into account.
>>6277808
Call me when they get to Al Negator otherwise I don't give a shit
>>6283981
For reference, here's the official character sheet:
>>6284043
I think you mean
>A universe of giant bipedal earth-like animals
Ducks, rabbits, and toads are small.
when you think we will have the first wave preorder?
>>6287927
Summer time. We haven't even gotten the full line-up revealed yet.
>>6279041
I'd rather have that version.
New image
>>6277808
how many people really wanted this? I didn't even know this franchise until it got picked up by these guys.
On a personal level I think it looks like shit and stupid. I much prefer they continued their Greek mythology with Egyptian or Roman or whatever.
>>6292128
>how many people really wanted this? I didn't even know this franchise until it got picked up by these guys.
How many people really want anything? You have to be over 25 or enjoy cartoons, comics, or video games from the 90's to want them.
>>6292128
Believe it or not, the world didn't begin when you were born.
I realize this is a difficult concept, but people older than you may want stuff from their childhoods also.
>>6292128
Fuck off youngfag. Bucky O'Hare was the shit and I'm pumped for this line. I wore out my VHS tapes while playing with the original figures. Hope we get a Dead-Eye
>>6292128
Boss Fight has already stated that they are working on more mythology figures. Before that though, they have fantasy and scifi lines slated and are milking the first HACKS designs as much as they can.
In addition to HACKS, they are working with other toy companies to produce more 1/18 lines. They are a design team, they can and do work on multiple projects over the course of a year.
>>6292110
Lookin' good, nice space puss
This won't be a sold separately accessory...
>>6292128
If you think this line is the successor of the Greek stuff maybe you should do more research about them, they are doing/will do a lot of more stuff... fantasy, space, zombie...
People waited for this pussy like... 20 years?
If they ever do a Willy figure, you think they'll include an alternate face for Jenny to do this?
>>6292428
> Bucky O'Hare was the shit
>toyline and cartoon last less than a year
>comic book virtually unknown
That said, i want this line.
I am excite.
>>6292826
a man can dream anon, a man can dream...
>>6277808
>>6277810
>resurrect a classic toyline
>actually give the female character a decently made figure right off the bat
I wish fucking October Toys would've done the same thing with their Skeleton Warriors foray and made Talyn the top priority, seeing as how she never even got a damn toy release in the classic line.
I think it's ironic how the people who create demand for female action figures from the past are the ones who didn't want them back when they were relevant.
>>6293276
when you are kid you dont care too much about nice looking female figures...
>>6292825
>Accessory will be hand-held projectile launcher
>-Missile will be tinted translucent material
I'm interested as to what that would have looked like, as Jenny ended up with different accessories.
>>6293311
I know, I just find the irony amusing.
>>6277815
how difficult will this be to order for people outside of the US? I pretty much grew up with Kamen Rider but I loved the shit out of my old Bucky O Hare toys despite the show nor the comics never ever reaching here.
>>6293369
PAIN, 25$ shipping
Is maybe the only bad thing of boss fight studio
>>6278079
>>6278170
No major retailers that I know of, but BigBadToyStore.com sells the Vitruvian Hacks line, so they may carry the Bucky O' Hare line as well. >>6293369 their shipping costs might be lower than BF's as well.
The 90's child in me is dreaming that BossFight will try to get the rights to produce Biker Mice from Mars and Pirates of Black Water figures. The amount of money they'd get from me would fund their next 5 projects.
Boss Fight released photos of the painted prototypes
Jenny fully revealed at last
>>6293557
so just the shipping alone would be $25???
>>6295560
It alwayshas been that. It's painful to be in the EUzone.
>>6293617
>Biker Mice from Mars
STOP PLAYING WITH MY MONEY AND FEELINGS!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EV6-8icD24o
>>6295560
Now you know why toy collectors are mostly American... I cant even have the BFS snakewoman exclusive because it dont ship to my country, even if is a big one inside the Eurozone...
>>6295559
>>6295562
>>6295565
that puss must be mine but... if I preorder they will send to me only her with the 25 $ shipping or can I also buy some blanks? not sure if I can do that in preorder...
>>6295560
It's hella expensive to ship out of the US. It usually costs me around $20+ wherever I'm shipping too. It's usually more economical when someone buys more than one figure.
Pre-orders begin June 1st and Boss Fight is planning variations and different versions of just Bucky and Jenny. It also appears they were designed to scale with the vintage figures.
>>6295625
I wonder what different versions we could have... I dont think Jenny had one at least dont remember
also, only 2 figures can be considerated a "wave"?
>>6296095
They say in the post there will be other characters. Also Jenny had an unreleased wave 3 figure with a helmet. And they've also tested out painting her with pink/purple hair like in the cartoon
>>6296095
Wave 2 Bucky would have been him in his spacesuit, with a zipline, as seen in >>6280464
And here's Jenny's helmet, with a fanart interpretation at >>6292822 .
But I was hoping Bucky's guns would have been like this (it's even in the op, so you see it twice an episode):
>>6296275
I think at this point pistols with holes are part of this franchise charm
not sure if I like the cartoon one more... she is the one I knowed... this one dont have some pinkish zones in her hair? like reflections or something? in this new fotos I cant see it...
>>6296483
Nah I think they opted to make it straight white like in tge majority of comic art but mentioned other variations, so there will be other versions.
>>6296501
Isn't it going to be white with a pinkish tint/highlights? I think they just made her hair completely pink in the animated version for contrast. Besides, it's not going to be that hard to repaint her hair completely pink (but have they announced pricing?)
>>6297144
No, they haven't priced them yet. They'll likely be in the $20 range.
Her hair's all white now. The prototype parts that were first shown had her with pink highlights.
The facial expression are kind of samey in all the different face variations.
Other then that: I like the look of Jenny way more. Her eyes are really intense. I do think both figures will be limited articulation-wise.
This franchise is unique, because they do their females animal-like. Unlike other toons.
>>6295595
Sorry for opening up the nostalgia wounds, anon, but you've got excellent taste.
Fully articulated versions of the 90's characters would be amazing, and I've always wanted a proper figure of Stoker and Carbine. Pre-injury versions of the bros in their Martian rebellion gear would be the cherry on the sundae.
>>6297201
I think it will cost arround 30$ like the premium exclusive Vitruvian Hacks, 20 sounds too good
>>6297971
They're smaller than Hacks and have around the same amount of accessories. I don't think they'll be $30, plus I'm expecting to army build Toad Troopers
>Nerdy kid lives space adventures with his space catfu
This predated 4chan for decade+
>>6298723
Fun fact: they turned >>6292815 into a Valentine's Day card back in the day, so they knew what they were doing...
>>6293617
I need 1/18 higly articulated swat kats, with a modified THICC gi joe skystriker as base for the plane.
>>6298865
>swat kats
>swat kats females
OH...MY...
I wonder how much far BFS will go with this franchise and if we will see other members aside from the main team, I would love to see this kind of toys but not sure if nowadys can be a success or at least enough for a line of more than 6 figures... I want to be wrong but this franchise seems to be very forgotten
>>6298992
>I want to be wrong but this franchise seems to be very forgotten
Let's see: only 13 episodes of a TV series, a short-lived toy line, two video games and a comic series that did not finish being published in America (but did in the UK), all in the early 90s.
>>6298988
Superior animal waifus to be sure.
Almost forgot: and one toyline that never got off the ground (company went out of business before it could be released) in the mid-00s.
I want a Sally Acorn figure, plz
>>6295590
I'm in SE Asia, we get Japanese toys left and right at nearly retail prices, if you know which stores to shop at but some US toys that are supposed to be $20 can be priced at SIC prices. That being said... yeah, I want this Bucky figure but am still unclear about how much it'd be total
>>6299575
you don't get it anon, the key is to make toys of old forgotten franchises, with weak copyright holders behind because strong ones will never give the permission, Sega will ask tons of money for Sally's toy
>>6299613
for europoors will be like 30$ the toy (I dont think it will cost less than 25) + 25$ shipping, so I supose you will suffer as much as us...
>>6299464
>Toxic Crusaders
Damn, we did miss out.
>>6299758
>you don't get it anon, the key is to make toys of old forgotten franchises
Ah, then Colleen from Road Rovers woud be fine.
>>6299926
>Road Rovers
I think those guys never had toys, corect me if I'm wrong
>>6299758
yeah I like Bucky O Hare but not sure if I'd pay $60-70 for this. Does anyone know of their quality? I guess if I ever stumble on it for $50 I'd consider it if the quality/durability is good.
>>6298988
First furry boners felt so right.
Where the fuck is Al Negator?
Why do these kikes not want my moneys?
>>6298025
They'll need to be about $30 each. Just because they're physically smaller wouldn't mean they would be cheaper. Tooling is expensive, and whether you're making a man sized torso or a li'l rabbit torso, it would cost the same for tooling. The smaller figs might save a tiny bit of plastic, but it's not the plastic that's the main expense. Tooling, manufacturing, packaging eat up money. And, would they really be able to sell, say 2000 figs of Jenny to make money?
>>6300269
And this is why I personally think is a bad move. I predict only a small fraction will buy these. It will be a disaster and I hope they learn from it.
At least marauders are generic enough and customizable as all hell to appeal to a broader spectrum.
>>6300312
they already have the generic product with the fantasy first wave soon, this is a different kind of product, is good to diversify your buisness as long as you recive enough money
>>6298025
Bucky is a bit shorter but bulkier, also this figures need more molds since they dont use modular pieces, wich means more cost, I want to see the Bucky figures as same price as the greek series but i'm not sure if it's possible, also remember this is a brand merchandise
>>6300312
>>6300601
Yeah dudes, I agree with both of you. I sure hope this succeeds (if they really go thru making this) and hope it doesn't become "the fiasco that tanked BFS".
Someone above mentioned October Toys and Talyn. I don't see that as working. What good is a Talyn figure all by herself, with no mold reuse potential? It costs a bunch of money to get that figure tooled and manufactured and painted, and that's it.
With the V-Hacks Greek series. BFS was able to reuse the same molds and pieces and make multiple characters and repaints, therefore getting the best use out of the molds they already have. The later waves were gravy (profitable without needing a lot of new cash outlay). Great way to keep the company in the black.
So with this Bucky series- if they make molds of Bucky and Jenny the catgirl, what the heck can they do with the molds to maximum ROI can continued cashflow? How many different figures can be made using those base set of molds? Each character needs new molds. That would cost them a lot.
That's why I'm a little concerned about this Bucky O'Hare project and its potential impact on BFS' finances. I can't see this as a long term money maker.
Jenny was my first furry crush. I'll pay hundreds for her!
>>6301244
I'll get three. One to keep in mint condition, the other for my desk and the third one for
hot glueing every night
>>6292825
>only 20 years
I wonder what the record for a wait for a figure of a (female) MC is --- is it TF's 30 years for Arcee?
>STOP stradale
D-don't judge my life choices, re Captcha...
>>6302507
the Arcee thing is depressing, all those years waiting for a toy of a iconic character of a iconic franchise... I hope this toy collector boom we have now will bring us more sexy great looking females: human, alien, anthro or fembot... cool dudes are nice but sometimes a great female is good to (sorry for my bad english)
So are you guys all like furfags or something
>>6302602
I just like all kinds of exotic females, I think it's called xenophilia
>>6302602
4chan teached me that everybody is everything under the right circumstances.
>>6302623
or captain kirk syndrome
>>6302957
well... experience the wonders of non human females it's also part of the exploration program, he is just a man doing his job
>>6302623
Pretty sure it's normal to like sexy normal women + green skin, anon. You aren't special.
a wave of only 2 characters... seems to be a little bit too limited
>>6303913
Mold tooling for different characters costs a lot of money. Like $20,000-$30,000 per character. Makes sense for them to proceed cautiously and release two figs as a start to gauge the demand. If the figs sell out and people go nuts, they can make new figs and reissue those two. If the line tanks and they're stuck with a bunch of unsold stock, then they're only out $40,000-$60,000 and not $250,000 which would torpedo the company.
>>6304108
sadly it's true, 2 are very limited but to be honest I think, compared to greek series this Bucky toys are a lot more risky, hope it will sell decently at least, one thing is sure, one Jenny will go to my home and maybe Bucky and the comic too
>>6303409
well... I prefer... the more... "exotic" ones, the color humans are decent but a bit boring
>>6304170
You're a furry, not xenophiliac.
Unless you wanna fuck a xenomorph too.
>>6304279
ayy lmaos are fine too
So we're just getting Bucky and Jenny?
And I have to order through some crazy ass store with gorillion dollars shipping?
God damn it it's hard to get a green bunny.
Bumping for preservation...
>>6310453
Anon, sadly we will need to wait until 1 june for preorder and I'm not sure if we will get more info/updates, right now with the price increase of the BFS figures I hope she and Bucky will not cost more than 30$ each.
not sure if this thread can be alive untill all that time...
one note: with Jenny body made... hope BFS will think to make the princess cat, you know, that one with blue hair, after all it can share a lot of pieces (sorry I dont remember her name now)
>>6310528
Felicia, could be variant or con exclusive
>>6310586
>con exclusive
anon please, stop
>>6311197
Yeah. Con exclusives suck. Lots of people live in other parts of the country or in other countries and can't go to a con just to buy an exclusive. Instead of pissing everybody off with cons, BFS should just make the Felicia variant using as much of the Jenny molds as possible and then sell as many as they can. More figs to more people = money and goodwill. People are happy. Con exclusives + markup + limited availability= pissed off people.
>>6311285
and not only cons the Kokomo exclusive toys dont ship in places like France or Spain...
...
I will never have the oportunity to buy the Altered Amazon...
never...
Al Negator when?

>>6298988
>>6298865
>Swat Kats.
THIS.
I would pay a pathetically large sum of money for a 1/12 Swat Kats line but if a company like Boss Fight wanted to put out smaller figures that would also be cool.
I am not even a furry I just love the show and it's character designs.
>>6311513
>I am not even a furry
Is this like the 'no homo' meme?
>>6311513
It's not like Boss Fight is drowning in money. They're not a big toy company like Hasbro or Mattel that can absorb a few duds. The big companies can ride out a few failed lines, but a small company can easily go bankrupt by biting off more than they can chew, sinking a hundreds of thousands of dollars on a toy line that might not sell.
I get what you're saying, and all of us have our own pet toylines that we'd love BFS to remake. It's easy to say "I want them to make this. I'm willing to spend $50 for an XYZ figure." But at the end of the day, it's BFS who'd have to sink in a lot of money to make it real, hoping that enough people are willing to spend that $50 for XYZ figure to make it profitable. It's the math. At $20k-$30k to get the molds made and get manufacturing started up per figure, and factories that often have a 2000 per figure minimum, they'd need to sell 600 of those at $50, or 1000 at $30 to break even. They have to sell more to start to make a profit. They're not a charity and it's profits that keep them going. Same goes for other characters in the Bucky line. Before people start demanding more Bucky characters, let's give BFS a chance with the first 2 and let them see how profitable they are. If it looks good, they might go on with more characters. But if they lose money on the Bucky figs, they have to pull the plug so they don't bankrupt themselves.
>>6311575
well, there is one way to know if something can be sustained by itself, and this is a kickstarter
They knew it!
bump, 'cause Bucky is awesome.
maybe we should have these guys too...

Its the same cringe i witnessed when people were talking about Swat Cats reboot.
Everybody was talking about that fetish cat-girl.
I think these franchises should fucking die because cartoons like this is the reason of why sites like Deviantart filled with retarded fetish cartoon drawings.
>>6318718
Same happens with human cartoons. Nerds are for the waifus not the stories, sadly.
>>6318718
>oh shi its Bucky o hare!
If you unironically got hyped over toys from a shitty 'Nineties cartoon, then I'm sorry but I really don't see how you have room to throw shade at furry/waifufags.

>>6320686
>stealth mission blablabla
>astral projection yadda yadda
we're not getting Toad or Duck are we? those """"redecoes"""" will be purchased by a store and will warm shelves and end up next to some comic store's Star Wars/trek shelf
>>6320693
I don't get furries. How can Jenny suck on a dick with those huge front teeth? The pain would be unbearable.
According to Bossfight's facebook page, the first two figures go on pre- sale on June 1st. They'll announce a price for the figures on that date. The packaging will be resealable just like the HACKS, so no worries about keeping them mint in package or destroying the package.
>>6320698
Bossfight doesn't generally sell toys in stores and there figures are very rare to find in comic shops. You pretty much have to order them only online. They also have a UK distributor for those in Europe to order from.
These will be easy for most people to get in the $25-30 range, just set aside some cash for next month when these drop.
>>6320686
>No Al Negator
Yeah they can go fuck off then, not getting ANY of my money
>>6320707
Not yet, and they're sculpted to be compatible with the vintage toys so the old figure should look decent with these. Support the line and he'll probably get a new one.
Don't worry guys, Astral Projection Jenny is canon.
>>6320737
so it will be a clear version of her? traslucent matherial maybe?
>>6320766
More than likely. Just an excuse to sell a second Jenny. This one is more like an accessory for your regular Jenny.
>>6320686
they used the same early 90's image? it looks the same as the vintage unreleased toy >>6279041
I miss the chrome color...
>>6320793
Only some of the original Jenny figures were chrome anyway. They were only experimenting with the idea, but opted for paint instead because it was cheaper had Jenny ever made it to market.
The paint will last longer anyway. It's difficult to make vac-metal last 10-20 years.

>>6318705
>>6320266
honestly, I'm into talking animals because our traditional folk stories have got talking animal demons/spirits as protagonists and antagonists so as a kid I loved anything that was a monster/humanoid based show.
I didn't know about furries or that ppl were sexually attracted to these characters until I got to college in the US. I wonder what is it that really got some of you guys into it differently. I mean, these shows are made in the US, so if the way a big portion of the US audience responds to it is sexually... I guess there must be intent on some of the creators' part to produce that effect.
It's just none of the kids I grew up with who also enjoyed these shows ever got into it in that way. We love these shows as nostalgia. Context: I'm SE Asian, so grew up with mostly Japanese shows and some US shows as a kid.
>>6328763
I know from personal experience it had something to do with exposure during the time of puberty. I discovered risque art of a lot of the female anthro characters I enjoyed when I was a kid right around the time I started puberty, and it messed me up. Deviantart is a bitch of a place to discover when you're starting to understand what being horny is. It also probably had something to do with how certain characters were designed. Characters like Lola Bunny and Sally Acorn and the previously mentioned Polly Esther were clearly designed with sexuality in mind, so exposure to those as a child would easily cause someone to have some...strange thoughts.
But again, that's just personal experience. I can't say for all furries that's the case.
>>6280014
I would love to see her in toy, sadly with action figures we don't get too many female characters, since these are not for kids (young boys prefer male toys) hope BFS will think seriously the possibility of doing her toy

I guess toku stuff, which was the norm, already exposed us to sexually alluring women, so the cartoon ones aren't as tempting unless it was Crying Freeman level of erotic drawings. One of the first films my generation saw was Zeiram and that had this super hot lady as the main protagonist... So by the time Lola Bunny came around, it really just seemed like a cartoon.
any news on purple aligator?
>>6329103
nope
>>6311690
That's what they should be doing. People on here get all carried away and keep saying "I want them to make this fig" or "I want them to license some chick furry from some obscure cartoon from 20 years ago". Sure, if they got $30,000 to throw around, or 300 people willing to pay $100 apiece. So easy to say "gimme gimme gimme". So easy to sit back and hope BFS takes all the financial risk for their furry chick figs. Not so easy when they could license the furry chick themselves, put down money and contract BFS to do the sculpting and then start their own KS.

There's a new Usagi figure coming from the Tmnt line.
>yfw we´ll never get a Tomoe figure
preorder 1 june
release/shipping when?
BOOOOOOOM!
35 FUCKING $
why? they are not bigger than regular hacks, 25 for the recent price increase is ok, 30 is expensive but 35? this is crazy...
>>6338526
Makes perfect sense. BFS didn't go Kickstarter- they went ahead and sunk in their own money to make the first 2 figs of the Bucky line. They need to be able to make the money back.
Good reasons why Bucky should cost more than HACKS:
1) Line does not have the general across-the-board appeal that HACKS does. Projected to sell fewer units to a more specialized base, therefore price goes up.
2) HACKS included blanks, which can be bought in bulk for customizers and people not into the Greek theme. Human bodies and skeletons have generic appeal. Space wabbits do not. Bucky does not have any viable blanks.
3) Bucky doesn't have any army builders for now. Army builders are what increases bulk sales. Individual characters don't motivate people to buy 5 or 6 or 10 of them.
4) With Bucky, unique molds need to be made for each character, with little reuse opportunities. HACKS had a base set of molds that could be combined and recombined into over a dozen different characters.
BFS needs to do what it takes to make Bucky profitable. I certainly hope it's a success and that they don't take a bath on it.
>>6338526
Aww, didn't I call this months ago to be well over $30? Yep.

purple alnegator when?

When they make enough money selling Bucky figs to make it worth their while to make new ones. Give 'em a chance first.

New pics showing off the scale. They're made to scale with the vintage figures. So no worries if they don't make everyone or it takes awhile to make other characters.
Pre-order goes live tonight at minight!

I get the bad feeling that the hip joints on these will work like shit and pop off all if the time
>>6352500
Bossfight uses GI Joe style joints. These won't pop off just from moving them.
>>6352512
They have like 14 points of articulation and interchangeable faces and hands. They're $35 each.
>>6352499
>inkspot eyes
>>6352519
These aren't joe style hip joints, they're just large pvc sockets that pop on to the balls. Joe stuff is ABS for the sockets and it's a two part piece. This isn't a two part socket.
>>6352535
What I was saying was it was a standard T-bar like a GI Joe.
>>6352549
Well.. yeah, like most balljointed hips, but the sockets are what were in question to begin with.
>>6352499
A cat is fine too, r-right /toy?

35 is pretty steep for an obscure franchises that doesn't even have a cult following and are 3.75"
Too bad since I really wanted dead eye duck and all too pander to furries who wanted jenny
>>6356383
Jap figures of more obscure characters at a similar scale sell for far greater yet dominate this board. Only poor fags will be bothered.
>>6356383
> obscure franchises that doesn't even have a cult following
This is why it's $35.
Also, i don't even follow Bucky OHare and i believe i only watched one episode half way through, but i would still buy these just because i like the designs.
Here's hoping this line doesn't kill BFS.
captcha: more signs are vehicles
>>6356383
They're not 3.75", they might be 1/12 scale for being 4". Remember, they were about the height of a preteen/early teen boy.
>>6356383
>35 is pretty steep for an obscure franchises that doesn't even have a cult following and are 3.75"
Actually an eminently reasonable asking price, all things considered.
>>6356383
Buck O'Hare DVDs not even available in the US. That's one factor that's preventing it from gaining a cult following. The BFS figs are clearly a labor of love for BFS. They didn't even go Kickstarter-they sunk in their own $$$ to make these figs. Hope the gamble pays off for them.
>>6356397
>>Here's hoping this line doesn't kill BFS.
I know what you mean. I hope Bucky is successful, if only to keep BFS afloat and not drag them into bankruptcy, or tank them like what happened to October Toys.
>>6356415
Yeah, they're not marketed correctly. They might technically be 4" tall, but their body proportions, and their intended scaling with humans makes them not 1:18. They're in proportion with 1:12 human figs.
>>6356420
Agreed. Smaller fanbase, lower projected sales, higher cost-per-unit from factory would cause the price to be $35. BFS would be idiots to order larger quantities from the factory to bring the unit price down, until they know for certain how well these will sell.
>>6356367
>resealable blister card
thank god.
Seeing a design problem with Jenny. With all that bigass plastic hair and bigass plastic tail, how is she supposed to sit down or fit in a vehicle? Even if she has enough leg artic to kneel down, she can't do it because that tail is in the way!
>>6358094
Make her hair/tail removable, and include resculpted versions to swap on in order to allow it?
(This line is never going to be popular/profitable enough for BFS to release any vehicles... Other characters maybe, but never a new Croaker, Double Bubble, or Righteous.)
You know what would be cool? If they did the purple gator. It's as if they want this line to tank.
>>6358224
And I'm happy that you're happy.
If it weren't for the fact that I could pair these up with the Jakks Star Fox figures, I'd probably not have dipped in for these. I love the style of them, but I just don't do that scale, no room for vehicles or playsets if I did.
>>6358187
They'll get to him... eventually... when not only Bucky and Jenny (and their variants, Stealth Bucky and Astral Jenny) prove to be sufficient selling, but Deadeye and a generic Stormtoad prove worth it as well. So don't expect Al for a few years at least.
>>6358443
one wave each season (3 months) seems reasonable, so the AI can appear in spring-sumer 2018
>>6358609
If you want variant hell, sure, but a whole new mold? At least 6 months for test-shots and similar.
>>6358771
I want to know more about this, so you say a new mold takes at least 6 months to do? how you know? previous experience with BFS or other toy companies?
>>6358775
It's something I've heard tossed around by various interviews with Hasbro staff and I think a few other sources, though I think it was specifically for Transformers, which are admittedly a different bundle of problems(plastic tolerances, construction tests, etc).
But to give some clarity, BFS is a fairly new group when functioning by themselves(They used to work with Hasbro and I think they still do on some sculpt work). So their learning curve may prolong things as they get used to the way factories in Asia do business. Specifically, the original H.A.C.K.S. kickstarter was funded July 11, 2014, had planned to ship the first wave figures February 2015, which fits that 6 month timeframe I mentioned.
They didn't actually get all the kinks and quirks with the factory worked out and toys shipped until late February/early March 2016. They probably got the worst of it taken care of, so we shouldn't see a delay nearly that long. I'd be surprised if they're not already working on a few test shots of the next figures and trying to get a running start.
>>6293369
What country do you live in?
>>6293369
23$ for European Union, some uk stores sell BFS stuff so I supose the shipping can be cheaper
>>6358801
Sounds about right for new molds, plus another six months for the factory to start squeezing out test runs, getting them approved, tweaking any problems, starting up mass production, design and manufacture of the packaging, possible delays in customs, etc.
Most small KS-based action fig operations (the ones with decent artic) need about a year before the figs are in-hand at customers homes. Most take longer, because of additional delays.
>>6358609
First thing's first. They need to MAKE MONEY from the Bucky/Jenny wave first. If they end up with tons of unsold stock in the warehouse, then they'll have to pull the plug so they don't bankrupt themselves.
Next issue: defining what a wave is. With HACKS, a wave was basically color/paint variants of characters that they already had molds for. They were able to milk the same molds for 7 waves. But Bucky, what people are asking for are new characters needing new molds. That's not something that can be pumped out in every 3 months.
>>6356367
>local comic shop
Do these even exist anymore? My local comic shop morphed organically into selling Soda + bizarre assortment of pawn shops and spray cans
>>6360165
I have like 5 of them near me, but only two of them are any good, and the best one in the area bought out several other comic shops I used to visit. Most of the shops just focus on selling card game shit, and only my favorite shop regularly stocks toys.

anon, you need to be more realist, pray for Space Jam 2 for a Lola figure
>>6364117
IDK
I don't think Nintendo is restricting Krystal merch, I think many companies just think she's unpopular.
Fox and the rest of the crew got figures.
>>6364236
It was never really a risk.
Smash has always kept Star Fox relevant enough to be marketable.

Best bun
>not releasing someone as beloved as deadeye duck or al negator instead
this line is DOOMED
>>6367559
Rembember BFS is taking a risk doing this at all- they're doing Bucky (obviously) and Jenny (popular with fans, and never got a figure actually released) first, and if they prove worth the considerable investment of designing, prototyping and production, then and only then, will they move on and do Deadeye and a Stormtoad (and only after milking Bucky and Jenny for variants). And if those two prove worth it, then you might get your purple reptile.
>>6367559
the duck is already in their plans in wave 3 (the second wave are recolors)
>>6367493
Ah... WB will never let us have a sexy action figure of her...
>>6367559
DOOMED!
>>6367684
Damn right. Seems that people who want the duck or alligator *instead* of Bucky and Jenny are missing the point. Why release a Bucky O'Hare series without Bucky? It's like demanding a Grand Moff Tarkin fig before Luke Skywalker gets released.
Besides, worst case scenario is that BFS pulls the plug after Bucky and Jenny. At least people can use the old figures from 1990 by Hasbro along with their BFS Bucky/Jenny.
>>6362889
This.
More because I genuinely love SWAT Kats than waifuism.
An entire line with T-Bone, Razor, Callie, and some of the villains (The Metalikats, Klaw, ect.) would be god tier.
