Actually it was the super/brawl design morphed into the Other M design.
Because nintendo doesn't let out the rights to smash designs, and Jakks was probably trying to salvage what they could. (Though why modify it into the Other M design over simplify the more complex additions the brawl take on the Super design is beyond me)

Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask are going to be high demand, Twilight Princess for the TP outfit, but also The ability to summon Epona which is exclusive to this and the Smash 4 Link. While MMask has a stat boosting Fierce Deity outfit and FD Sword.

Skyward Sword just happens to have the goddess sword as a weapon and the getup that Skyward Sword Link had, which it's not as a revered game as the prior two.

Personally I am disappointed by the Design choice of the Majora's Mask Amiibo. I find the pose lacking, and the Goron Mask questionable as the one he holds. I would of suspected the Deku Mask, or some other mask.

Deku would have been more iconic for the game, sure, but all of the Link amiibo poses have been taken directly from artwork from the time of the game's release. For MM, the one of him holding the Goron Mask is the only one where he's flat footed, so it makes for the best amiibo.

I would've preferred just about any other mask but they're stuck on the artwork thing for whatever reason.

The morph ball was always rather large really, about torso high to Samus in most iterations.
Which is why I'm honestly with anon in not wanting one, since it'd be undersized like every other morph ball we've gotten so far.
More arm cannon shames for other beams, the gravity beam attachment, or misses would be killer though.
Though I would assume other beam cannons would be for the PED suit if we ever get that, since the Varia suit proper only had the power beam in Prime 3.

Finally decided to pickup some World of Nintendo figures after seeing them in Walmart for so long. I'm pretty happy with the Yoshi and Link for $10 although I didn't realize the Link came with the conductor baton thing from Wind Waker instead of a shield. The Bokoblin was one of the cheaper $4 ones and I think it was worth it to go along with the link. I wanted to get some of the other smaller figures too like the Pikmin but $4 for that tiny pikmin is crazy desu.

Pretty happy overall though, I'm definitely going to try and order some more online in the near future since my Walmart barely has any.

Managed to find a Slippy Toad and Inkling Boy today at Target. Slippy is a surprisingly solid figure. The Inkling Boy has way better articulation than the girl and the ink tank doesn't get in the way

Fuck GSC with the accessory stinginess, I bet they chose the Prime 3 license instead of 2 on purpose so they could make it barebones(by figma standards anyway).
Out of curiosity I started comparing it to renders and ingame screens and it comes pretty close, even the ironman-esque pose, considering you have to cheat to get it on the other M fig

It's a lot easier to capture a robotic suit in toy form than it is a human being like Link. The Samus figma's able to look just like the game model (better, actually) because of the joints present on her design, nothing like hair or clothes to worry about, and a proper metallic paint job.

I still think the Link figmas are good, but Samus is just more suited to it design-wise
