My scourge's one looks appropriate, but the dinky 2 gun halves like with trigger happy and co needed to go, while it means less guns on trypticon it means more accurate (if one cares) play value.

I assumed they wouldn't of bothered to care seeing how they have a reserve of their RnD on the movie line but I guess the fact retools of older toys coming out are a sign they knew it was a waste of time using their good skills.

That's hard to say because it's not like there was a hard shift to being slavishly toon accurate, plus it's a very recent thing. I think Ultra Magnus, Shockwave and Hot Rod were testing the waters somewhat but I think MP Inferno proved to them that people will want a toy with minimal real-world accuracy.

I disliked the blue they used on the hasbro (or whatever it was), ok they took away the color variation because lets be honest, the hasbro version was varied as fuck and other figures like TR blurr should of went that way, and made it a better approximation of what people may generally know kup better by.

Aus fag here, we didn't get groove or brainstorm either unless we went to premium collectables (which you guys can use as well) although one local comic shop got a few grooves...at really high prices.

But we've gotten everything else, now we're getting a trickle of wave 3 voyagers, stores beginning to clog with wave 3 AGAIN (meanwhile all the recent sales are either avoiding deluxes or its tru simply bringing them down to competitors prices and not a true sale) and wave 3 and 4 leaders are showing up sporadically.

funny thing is they actually did in the 90's, they dubbed it into Japanese.

They used a mostly different cast outside of Tessho Genda, Seizo Kato and Issei Masamune.

For me, TR Astrotrain doesn't have anything I want in an Astrotrain (as in convincing earth train and space shuttle). This mold really feels like it was made for Sentinel, so I'd say just let it go. Plus his round face on a Titanmaster just look too awkward to accept.

For Hot Rod, he's a straight up improvement over his classic version in every way. Even manages to do the Round face on a titan master thing well. Just watch out for weak face paint application. Some Rods have herpes which gives them bumps on their lips. That and loose ball joints, but those are incredibly easy fixes. Just know that he's good and go for it.

I fucking hated the look of the Hasbro Kup but this is legitimately tempting. The new arms and head improve it immensely.

If it had more accurate colors that weren't as drastically dark grey this would be a 100% buy.

I don't know what it is with Takara and their colors sometimes. It's like they're using an off reference so there are things like this and Shockwave always being light purple and Blast Off being light brown.

As for Kup, I used to have the original Generations release. He was really solidly built but had a pretty tricky chest transformation. Unless this new one has thinner plastic, I don't think you need to worry. Though after CW Fruiticus, I wouldn't put it past Hasbro.

A lot of people hate the cartoon-accurate color. Personally, I just hate that it looks so cheap. The fact that he came with shitty stickers instead of having tampographed Decepticon badges was another huge knock. For a $100+ toy, he looks chintzy as fuck.

On a technical level, his knees are gimped for no real reason. A lot of people complain about his narrow feet, but they don't really bother me. I'm personally not a fan of the lightpiping, I would have just preferred yellow paint. I've bought at least one form of every MP-10+ mold and it's the only one I'm not really a fan of.

Finally scaled right for role play. The g1 toy was great as a kid. I'm not suggesting people run away going pew-pew with it but it will definitely give you those same feels again.

I am not sure how you avoid this when the clearance for backpack and the head is so minimal during transformation.

My is already scratched on various spots, head, shoulders, back of the legs holding the gun stock, etc... At this point I really think they should just go bare plastic with some paint on key spot.

At least the damages match the hurt face pretty well.
