I don't come to /toy/ ever, even though I do buy collectibles now and then. Seeing as this is a buy/trade topic I figured it may be a good place to ask a question concerning a recent order off eBay.

I preordered an import item from a seller with over roughly a 120k positive, 99.6% rating. The item will ship with SAL, but after sending them a message they said I can upgrade it to EMS for an extra 7 bucks.

Skimming through the positives their items seem to arrive quickly, but I'm still curious if it's worth the extra bit of cash for EMS over SAL? I don't import enough products to know much about the shipping methods so I'm curious if you guys have any input to share.

My experience is that it's a pain in the ass. Buyers are even cheaper there than here, and if you have a buy-it-now price you'll get people fielding lowball offers over private message and getting pissed off at you for not taking their offer. Don't expect to profit off of anything, but don't expect to break even anywhere.

If eBay isn't working for you, try Mercari, it's another recent shopping app that has been pretty good for toy and clothing sales and anyone can list.
