so can I still pledge money and get the figures I want? I just doubled my income and can afford these figures now.
>>
>>6257963

pledge is over anon, :(

If you didn't pledge at least 5 bucks then you don't get access to the backerkit (feature that lets you edit or add to your kickstarter pledges) that's going on now.

1.0 is going to get reissued, that might be your best bet. Or wait for 2.0 to hit online stores.

So what figures do you guys think will be reissued in 1.0, 1.5 and Covenent of Shadows?
>>
>>6258071
The current gameplan is literally all of it, as long as each figure hits a individual number ordered.
>>
>>6258083
But I mean which ones do you think are going to get the most orders in order to get made
>>
>>6258113

Most orders, legion builders, all of them.

Besides that, probably any of the named knights.

a lot of people, myself included only found out about these guys during the 1.5/1.75 wave

We have not. They are the only thing left to sculpt if I remember correctly, everything else from the later stretch goals was a reuse of the sculpted heads they already had.

Speaking about buying weapons that fit Mythic Legions.
Blizzard is having a Spring Sale and has the NECA heroes of the storm at 75% off.

The weapons fit mythic legions quite nicely.

Stitches is pretty freakin cool. I was at the Blizzcon when it first came out so I've had him for a while and I absolutely love him, not really worth the full price though, defiantly pick him up
>>
>>6259950
I actually grabbed Arthas and Nova back during the last time they had a sale (each one was $10) and was surprised at how good Arthas was...and how poor Nova was. I do want Stitches but with all my spare cash going to the Legions, I'm probably gonna pass on him again.

Though if they keep trying to unload these guys so cheap, it means we probably won't actually see the series 3 figures they were working on. Which would be a shame because I was really looking forward to Sylvanas and would have liked to get me a small squad of Marines.

>>6261185
I'm holding off until the last minute because I'm hopefully closing on a house next week and I want to see just how much cash I'll have left to spend on these guys. If all goes well, by the time these figures actually arrive at my door, I'll have a nice big mountain castle display shelf to set them all up in.

Nah. Don't really get your hopes up with the 4H.

The bigotry of low expectation is appropriate and just expect delays in everything
>>
>>6265554
>The bigotry of low expectation is appropriate and just expect delays in everything

You sound a little butthurt there, Skippy.
>>
>>6265793
No I'm just being realistic.
- Birds got delayed
- ML 1.0 got delayed
- Backer kit was a couple of days late
- Gwyndolyn head was late
- ML 1.0 printed comic book/tabletop game got delayed.

Everyone here, who's being realistic is setting up expectations that it'll take about 1.5 - 2 years, plus giving more time for the 4H to sort their items in the warehouse and slowly deliver it to each 2000 backers which might take half a year on its own, rather than the April 2018 estimated delivery date to your doorstep
>>
>>6266028
We will see them before the deadline and that's all that really matters
>>
>>6266031
But there's no such thing as Kickstarter "deadline" as the KS owner can push it back further and further. For example the artbook from the original KS has estimated delivery time of May 2016. They're literally a full year late and counting.

Again when a company has a proven track record of delays, it is realistic to expect more delays coming. Anyone who truly believe that they can get these figures on their doorstep by April 2018 certainly has an innacurate expectations
>>
>>6266034
My bad, I meant for the extra heads and stuff. We will get them before the backerkit deadline and that's all that matters to me.

As for KS in general, I don't think I have ever seen one actual ship out on time. It comes with the territory in regards to these crowdfunding things. You either get them delayed, get them on time but with shit QC or don't ever get them at all.

With ML and 4HM I'm glad it's only the first problem although the reissues had some QC issues but nothing deal breaking if you ask me
>>
>>6266031
>We will see them before the deadline and that's all that really matters

Will we? lol

>> the reissues had some QC issues but nothing deal breaking if you ask me

Half painted figures and figures in the wrong color are kind of deal breakers. Also the stripes on all my templar shields look like someone just freehanded them with a paintbrush.
>>
>>6266070
>Also the stripes on all my templar shields look like someone just freehanded them with a paintbrush.
Pics?

Also, till this day still radio silence and not even an acknowledgement of the issues
>>
>>6266106
>Also, till this day still radio silence and not even an acknowledgement of the issues
This is my biggest issue. Sometimes factories fuck up, it's fine, it happens, and 4H simply doesn't have the resources to ship them all back and make them do it again. I understand. All I want is them to be like "Hey, we know these aren't quite right and we'll do our best to make sure it doesn't happen again." That's it. I don't need a refund or replacements, just fucking acknowledge the problem.
>>
Is there anyway to actually buy any of this shit or is it all "Lol too l8 losers?"
>>
>>6266141
You have a chance if you add onto someone's backerkit. Other than that you're SOL. You had more than enough time.
>>
>>6266028
>- Gwyndolyn head was late

I've been out of the loop with 4H's recent toy endeavors but damn, that's horrible. I remember they used to respond a lot and sent entire parts replacements during their Gothitropolis run.

Revised Xylona is revealed, much much better now

4H apologists eat your own dicks. Even your dear supreme leader the 4H agreed that the initial figure was underwhelming
>>
>>6267816
Still looks bad.
>>
>>6267830
They photoshopped the head to be smaller out of overwhelming negative fan feedback on the size of the head

However, that naked female torso, flabby arm and lack of textures to blend the body and the hairy neck is underwhelming. Still a pass for me
>>
>>6267816
>still no fur texture on skin

I had no interest before, and that feeling remains.

Redpill me on this. What's so appealing about translucent figures to you guys? I think the helmet head looks a bit awkward.
>>
>>6268223

It's the only translucent figure in the toy line
It's a skeleton
It has unique accessories not seen on any other figure

That's just looking at it from a Mythic legions fan.

As a clear figure, well, they're just cool. The sculpting holds up on its own and doesn't have that "it just looks unpainted" feeling to it. At the very least, translucent figures always look unique and stand out in any collection.
>>
>>6268089
Hmm, the helmeted look actually makes me want to use this as a heroic counterpart against Scaphoid's necromancer vibes.

>What's so appealing about translucent figures to you guys?

I normally don't like them but at least this will be one ML figure that you can play with without worrying about scraping the paint off.
>>
>>6267816
I love the metallic green, but I agree there's a touch too much now. Still she jumped right back onto my wants list as her shimmering gear makes her a lot more regal looking. Though I still feel the head could be a bit less realistic and a touch more elegant and etheral and a classic brown doe paint job would be amazing. Still a definite improvment over her initial look.

>>6268246
I think the helmeted head looks better then the ghoul head, though they really need to use that ghoul head on a fully painted figure.

Oh my god, you're right, it's the exact same head!

Except the lips, eyes, cheeks and chin are all clearly and completely different. Also, the ears are molded into the head so it's not like they can just be swapped out. Myria also seems to have a crown molded to her forehead. But other then being completely different in every way, it's totally the same face!

It's just the 4H 'style'. 90% of their female heads are sameface shit. I don't know why they can't break out of it and make give each head more distinct features. Gwen, Delf, Juno and Freyj all look like the same cosplayer.

Honestly, I don't like these stands at all. They seem like they're designed more for dolls or something that shouldn't even be standing on their own instead of the action figures Mythic Legions are. They work for the Birds because they topple over a lot (ankle rockers and lower center of gravity would help greatly for them) but I just stand my Legions up on their own.

I keep hoping the 4H will make more Diorama styled stands to go with the Legions, similar to the ones made for the Dino Kickstarter. And I've repeated many times they could take that idea and have that lead to full sized castles if they use a Chain Base style modular connection system. Make some basic floor and wall pieces that can connect together, some small accessories you can mix and match with them and then make some larger stand alone central sets (gates, ramparts, throne rooms etc) that connect to the basic floors and walls so fans could build a castle all on their own. It keeps costs down for the 4H due to heavy parts reuse, initial costs down for collectors due to smaller pieces but still lets hard core fans go wild buy buying large amounts of these pieces to combine into whatever size display they choose.

It's honestly a gimmick I'm surprised isn't seen more often as the Kotobukiya sets are really the only ones on the market like that, and only for small scale Mechs.

>>6273331
I forget where I saw it, but the 4H mentioned that the loose hip issue was from them assuming the material they used would be strong enough that they wouldn't have to use any kind of detent system on the hips for the initial wave. After hearing that the loose hips was a common issue, they said wave 2 won't have smooth joints and will feel more like the shoulder disc with it's noticeable quasi-click feel.

It was really only like one or two trolls complaining about Hagnon, he's mostly gotten a lot of positive praise since he was originally revealed. Most people are fans of ol'ghoulface, even moreso now that he comes with two awesome optional heads.

>>6275372
The only Legion figures who've had any problems with breakage were the Barbarian bodied ones where the head ball joint was said to snap off the neck too easily. But it never seemed to be too widespread of a problem. The only other issue would be loose joints or paint chipping, neither seem to be major issues with the mean green boney machine. If you wait a bit, I'm sure there will be an in-stock sale of the 1.75 guys and all-stars this summer, and a massive Pre-Order for all the first wave characters.
>>
>>6275372
The figures themselves won't break, but the accessories will if you're not careful.

And yeah, the worst you'll get is paint rubbing

>>6275411
I haven't seen 4H even hint at selling any left overstock, which makes me think they never got in in hte first place OR are holding onto them to sell for the conventions they go to.
I really wish they'd start selling stuff at conventions, considering how expensive they are with shipping.

I swear I'm not being contrary and I totally get why people aren't feeling the big bones but that's kind of why I like them. "Realistic" skeletons look so spindly and frail to me now and I think these just make for better toys (although they are very cartoonish and stylized so not for everyone).

I'm not sure why you want to make a skeleton into a bulky character, given that skeletons lack mass.
It's like asking for a giant dwarf.

If you don't want a skeleton to look skeletal, you can add clothes or even keep rotting skin and muscle fiber on them.
A rotten skeleton makes more sense than a picked clean bleached boned skeleton anyway.

So pic related is my current order total, which gives me a good variety of new figures while adding to my pre-existing Legion factions. However I wanna add one more figure to the order, but I'm torn on which of the two I want more.

The choices are either Myria or the Elf Ranger, mostly to hang out with Thistlethorn. In the end I'll be placing another order when these guys have their pre-order sale and will get both of them(as well as some others in their faction), but for now I just wanna add one or the other to the order. I'm just not sure who to get first. The Ranger is cool and all, but I like elf chicks.

I'm supposed to be closing on a house by the end of the month, with it will be a nice big basement. Over the course of the next year I
ll be more or less completely renovating the entire basement, turning half into a laundry and storage room and turning the rest into a nice big man-cave and toy room. Hopefully it'll be finished before the new Legions show up as I'm hoping to turn at least one bookshelf into a giant castle diorama display to house all the legions and other fantasy figures I have.

The only real problem is making sure I have enough room for that as I also intend to make nice big displays for my Transformers, G.I. Joe and Nerf Collections, all of which are already pretty large and still growing.

On the left is a 3.75 Joe scale figure. As you can see, quite a difference between that and a legions.

>>
>>6285572

It looks like they took new pictures of half of the characters (are Knubnik's collar bones not painted anymore?) and put the strap on them.

Will still pick up some extra stuff. I spend weeks going over the Kickstarter and Backerkit and always regret not getting something...
>>
>>6285570
>>6285572

...oh for crap's sake. If I knew they were just gonna run the pre-order so soon after closing the backerkit I would have just added more to my damn order. They need to give our wallets time to heal up before they drill us again. The fact it only runs for a week just makes it even worse. I may have to pass up this pre-order because I can only spend so much a month on toys and I've already spent far more then I should have on these guys.
>>
>>6285695
Yeah if they'd waited a bit I might have felt the need to throw down some money on a few guys I kind of wanted but weren't absolute must-haves. But after already spending so much I just can't justify it again so soon.

Especially since I've still gotta consider the 1.0 pre-order they're planning at some point, which I definitely want a bunch from.
>>
>>6285695
>>6285752

They probably want to get everything into production asap. No matter when they end things people will always ask for "one payday more." This is for people who missed the Kickstarter not for the people on FB who need to beg their wives to spend about $3000 on goblin legion builders.

The sooner this gets out of the way the sooner they can do the 1.0 orders anyways.
>>

Say I already backed the KS and had backerkit lockdown. Is it possible for the 4H to combine shipping between the general public PO and my KS PO???

I heard the webstore infrastructure and their customer service is not very good
>>
>>6286351

honestly, not trying to bash on FH, but that seems very unlikely given their track record about customer service.

>I heard the webstore infrastructure and their customer service is not very good
pretty much dude, we can only hope they shape up for the 2.0 release.
>>
>>6286001
I understand the need to get final numbers to the factory, but these things still need to go through the basic mold tooling process which is the longest part of manufacturing. Running the pre-order less then 2 weeks after the Backerkit closed is a tight squeeze on those who are trying to budget their buys per month. I myself was able to invest more into the Backerkit because there was a period of about a month since the close of the KS where I could put away some side cash. I was hoping for at least a similar amount of time before the next sale so I could do the same for the Pre-Orders. As is, I'll have to limit what I get this time around compared to what I could afford a month from now.

Honestly, the rush probably has less to do with getting the final numbers in place and more to do with them still having 1.75 figures (and trolls) to sell and the full Wave 1 resale to run. They have a lot more product to put out there these days so the sale periods will eventually start getting more consistent with less room to rest between them.

>>6286351
During the first KS this wasn't possible, but the backerkit and actual pre-order happened much further apart and the previous store system was archaic at best.

I won't say they won't be able to combine shipping for this one, but I will say it's highly unlikely and not to expect it.
>>
>>6286485
>>6286376
>>6286351

they combined my 4 store preorders automatically last year but didnt refund my shipping... i think they were just trying to save time
>>
>>6286050
You're joking right? We have at least until the end of the year before production finishes. The last kickstarter took I think over a year for everyone to get their syuff. And the preorders for the birds took nearly a year to ship out, and they already had the molds and everything made for them.

Patience is the Mythic Legions virtue.
>>
I dont understand why a small company like Boss Fight Studio can do releases in a reasonable time and even have stock in their online store and Four Horsemen can't, why they cant do that? why buying things from them needs to be done in a slow painfuly limited way?
>>
>>6287310

3 people run 4H

>>
>>6287322
No because 1.0 reissue already halfway happened with the All Stars.

What we all need to be paranoid about is the quality issue. The last time they reissued the All Stars most of them had fucked up paint or some known QC effect.
>>
>>6287310
>even have stock in their online store and Four Horsemen can't

To be fair, the 4H do have the birds reissue in stock warming their warehouse. However unlike regular online store it might take months for them to ship the thing you bought and paid for. There are people to this day who haven't receive their 1.75 orders

>>6287316
Boss Fight Studio is just as tiny though. Instead of 4 (-1) it's 5. It's not their full time job either and they still do other work like most any sculptors do.
>>
>>6287316
>This isn't their main source of income, they have regular jobs and do this with spare time.

So what, they take in multiple millions of dollars in ML stuff every year at what point does it stop becoming a "hobby." That's no excuse.
>>
>>6287322
The 1.0 figures will probably be 6 months between the end of the Pre-Order period and the figures actually shipping out. The only reason the original figures and wave 2 birds took so long was because of new tooling. Using previously tooled parts, they save a lot of time and turn around is much quicker. However, like >>6287337 said, QC may suffer unless the 4H put a proverbial smackdown on their factory for halfassing a lot of 1.75/All-star figures.
>>
>>6287416
I ordered Mallatard about a week and a half ago, and he arrived yesterday
>>

Lmao no. No they don't. They got funded about 1.7 million between all three of the kickstarters they created and i'm sure a majority of that went into actually creating the damn figures.
>>
>>6289682

>>what is take in

Who cares how much of that they actually pocket, they are dealing with large sums of money + all of what they make on Store Horseman preorders which is more with every preorder.

They are a real company now but they are still trying to run it out of their living room like Glyos.
>>
>>6289707
Increasing their warehouse or making all these changes would honestly probably make the figures themselves more experience to justify the raise of expenses. I rather just deal with delays as opposed to paying more for figures

Is this someone from 4H coming /toy/ just to comment on one post because you got incredibly butthurt over someone noticing how much money is going through your hands?

If oyu are, WHY THE FUCK CANT YOU KEEP STOCK?
Other Kickstarters manufacture more toys from what was KSed, yet you can't sell anything but preorders?
If you could actually support your line, you wouldn't have the mess of taking a whole fucking year to ship someone's order you fucked up on because you need to wait until the next INTEREST FREE LOAN DAY to manufacture more figures.

Some of us want to WAIT on giving you money until we know how the actual product is given how lackluster they have turned out.
>>
>>6290930
There is literally stock of figures on their shop right now. They prefer to not have that because they have limited warehouse space and don't want unsold stuff just sitting around for months.

In some alternate universe, someone was psychic and did warn us about the upcoming issues 4H would be having, but his posts were deleted for "stirring shit up"
In another alternate universe, his posts weren't deleted and people accepted the fate of the QC issues.

Still, fuck you for telling me we shouldn't be allowed to know if a toy is good or not before i can buy them.
>>
>>6291441

Also only the front half of the All Star Skapular torso is shaded. The back is just flat red. That and the shield is covered with some weird white hot glue wash but that's admittedly minor compared to everything else.

>>
>>6291444
>Also only the front half of the All Star Skapular torso is shaded. The back is just flat red.
That kind of cost cutting bullshit is what you'd expect on a Hasbro Marvel Legends, not a line where previously the ENTIRE figure was fully shaded. I wanted to support the latest Kickstarter so bad but the total radio silence from 4H on a variety of concerns/issues made me lose all faith in them.

I was willing to give them a pass on the paint flaking/scraping issue despite the fact it annoyed me but I was NOT willing to accept crappier paint apps, half-shaded figures, floppy joints and major QC issues like those halberds being full of mold flashing to the point where it looked like a literal dollar store toy.
>>

How about their absolute incompetence in combining shipping between the preorder and the backerkit (there's no reason not being able to, these figures hasn't been made yet). It's pure logistical incompetence/lack of giving a shit.

Also people are funding bug on the storehorsemen, like they're charging $50 shipping on certain figures like Morgolyth.

Blind shills like you are the one who enable the 4H to act this way
>>
>>6291638
I'm not a guy with a huge disposable income, so the 3 or 4 figs I do end up buying are a big deal to me. Especially since they won't be arriving for a year. I understand giving them a pass on some things, but poor molding (like the flash) or shitty paint for something that was originally amazingly done doesn't sit well with me as a smaller collector. Just accepting these issues and pumping hundreds of dollars into this while mindlessly shilling isn't helping anybody in the long run. I wish the toys weren't so goddamn nice looking, then I could probably ignore the KS and still be happy. As is though, I don't want to have to play the late buy in game and spend 100 bucks per figure. I will say that I personally feel like the selection this time around is much less exciting, because I'm here for good knights and thats about it.

>>
>>6291869
I'm talking about combining shipping between backerkit and storehorsemen PO, or even combining shipping between two storehorsemen PO purchases.

Say day 1 I bought legion builder $22 + $25 shipping, or I had 1 legion builder KS on backerkit at $18+$25 shipping.

Next day I decided to change my mind and buy another legion builder. Can you combine the shipping? Nope, you have to pay $22 + $25 twice, rather than $22 + $22 + $25. This is out of sheer incompetence.

For comparison with Raptor KS, there's preorder period and if you back the KS already and paid for shipping already, since the figures hasn't ship yet you just email the guy and within 24 hours he'll paypal you back the extra shipping that you paid for

Sure it's high, but everyone had plenty warning, we told everyone to order now, or face higher costs, even 4H emailed that out.

So what's the point of complaining here?

The kickstarter was the best deal anyone was going to get on the figures.
Some people decided to wait even though they were told not to.
Now they're facing increased costs and complaining about it.

They did it to themselves.

>In a fucking hobby where missing out a release date is punished with higher prices on the secondary market, WHY WOULD ANYONE WAIT instead of ordering the kickstarter?
Bullshit.

Almost every other toy maker will continue producing their figures and selling them after release. All the imports that /toy/ collects? They're all sold in stores, which allows consumers to buy their toys AFTER knowing whether a toy is worth buying or not.
it's only 4H who only produce enough for preorders, and any extras are just left overs from the manufacturing process.

Even tiny companies who made toys for Kickstarter continue manufacturing toys after the matter, like Boss Fight Studio and Marauder Gun Runners.

4H is the only collector company where you have to blind buy the toys to own them without paying scalper fees.
It's funny how their FANtastic Exclusives, which are supposed to be limited, like the Raven is pegwarming, while the line that they planned for army builders is only made for people who preorder.
Making army builderable figures in numbers limited to only backers is backwards as fuck, but i guess that's what happens when you increase the scale for the He-Man buyers.

>The point was that other companies can also make you feel pressured to order $100+ worth of stuff up front without knowing how it's going to turn out, or else you deal with aftermarket prices.
Bullshit.
No other company pressures you by making it feel like you have to pre-order or face scalper fees.
I know there are ignorant weeaboos on /toy/ who believe that pre-orders are the only way to get Japanese toys, but they ignore that physical stores exist even in the US who carry these products and charge roughly MSPR or less.

>>6293732
What company doesn't allow you to buy something after its released in the market? 4H basically onl ymakes enough to cover preorders. Almsot all exclusives that are produced cover more than just preorders.
>>
The only pressure to pre order coming from anywhere is yourself. If you can't afford it don't go blaming the creators when there stock sells out every time.
>>
>>6294591
I'm not the one making the argument that you're pressured into buying anything or that any company punishes you for not preordering.
All I've said is that 4H is the only company that forces you into buying a product without knowing how it'll turn out. They sell only blind buys.

They're ass backwards when it comes to selling and producing army builders.
>>
>>6294830
How can you say that when that's literally all Kickstarters? All game preorders, all crowd funding goes like that. You go watch a movie, no idea if it's gonna be good. And you watch it. Like that's just how it works sometimes. And at this point Mythic Legion HAS had examples of their products so you can get ideas
>>
>>6296202
> that's literally all Kickstarters?
Did you know that dumb, idiot, and stupid all mean different things, yet can be applied to you at the same time??

Name a toy kickstarter where you can only buy a product by preordering it?

>You go watch a movie, no idea if it's gonna be good.
No, seriously, you're completely moronic.
Again, the only way to buy a MyLe figure is by doing a blind buy. A movie you can wait until after its released and reviews are out to watch it.
Only way to do that with the MyL line is by paying a scalper and that's awful.

Hell, you can even buy SDCC exclusives after people have reveiwed or shown them off without buying them from scalpers.
