Half a grand usually. The plan is to make sure I can grab anything rare I want that's within reason.
Surprised to see so many high numbers honestly. People answering the poll must not be in the northeast. Last few shows I went to I didn't see many people carrying anything.

Bringing spending money doesn't necessarily mean they're spending all of it. Also sometimes people buy a few high priced items. I know when I go to cons I tend to look for things that I either missed out on in the past, exclusives, and things that I never found in retail.

all != any
As Otakon shifted to a dumping ground for leftovers that didn't sell in Japan, I started going to more western cons and catching up on older stuff that was poorly distributed. I'd spend a small fortune if I didn't have to sell more than I bought...
At least $200, maybe more. My first two toy cons, I was buying so many grails and awesome stuff that I was leaving good shit on the table (I got like 40-50 Simpson figures for $120, but I didn't have enough cash to buy like 12 simpsons playsets). My next two, I think I spent less then $20 on random bullshit. It's always good to bring too much cash and not buy anything then to come up short handed.
My most recent one, I got a 3a robot Pyro figure, and the Mcfarlene King Kong figure. Without those two items, it'd be pretty much all bullshit.
depends on the size.
SDCC? $1000+
Wondercon? $300.
Small time? >$200
Of course, this is to buy art and comics too. Not just toys
