Legends is finally up for PO!

>>its a rerun of the "megaman figure with an undersized gimpy looking arm cannon" episode
maybe the next toyline will be better
emaciated Mega Man needs to eat a sammich.
He can rot like other bulimics and anorexics.
Sad that a candy figure is the only MML figure worth anticipating
>>6249974
>>6249980
?????????
>>6250021
def looks better bigger, imo, accurate or not
>>6249936
It's a shame the volnutt ended up being so shitty looking compared to the other 4inchnel Megamen.
>>6250027

>>6249936
WHY IS THE BLASTER SO FUCKING SMALL???
>>6249936
When is X releasing?
>>6250092
It was never big. Most didn't even use it after getting the minigun.
>>6250138
Cool, but it still was never as small as it is on the figure.
>>6249936
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>>6250117

>>6250138
>It was never big
Are you dense? No one is saying it needs to be huge but you seem to somehow conflate "it's too small" with "it needs to be gigantic!". I can't tell if you're being intellectually dishonest, trying to troll or really just don't understand the concept.
The cannon has always been bigger than the default arm, on this figure it's not. It's not wide enough and it's not long enough. Period. Argument over. This is no longer up for debate.
>>6250213
regular Mega Man's buster is also too small, compared to how the d-arts does it
>>6250302
Not trying to instigate a D-Arts vs 4InchNel thing, but I get tired of people comparing it to the D-Arts.
Both lines have their own take on the figure-- simple as that.
I liked the D-Arts for the effect parts, shoulders, and abdomen.
But I like the 4InchNel for the matte finish, the headsculpt, and hips.
Both are great.
But I will also AGREE that the buster on Volnutt does look a bit too slim.
>>6249936
>volnutt comes with open hands and an extra headpiece
>.exe had his extra hands limited to a fucking statue for some reason
Still fucking gay
>>6249936
Gonna scalp this
>>6250431
Not a bright move unless you can sit on it for 2-3 years. Collectors are so poor these days that even retail is going to take 1-2.
>>6249936
Looks pretty Nice to me.
>Only accessory is a helmet
Aww man fucking weak
>>6251980
god i hate those fucking exposed pins
>>6251980
>not figurarts scale
Blunder of the Century
How big does the 1/10 look next to Marvel Legends?
>>6252329
only classic megaman works at that size since he's meant to be a little boy
>>6252282
Making it metallic would make it inaccurate and ugly.
>>6251410
god damn it, I'm actually very tempted by X but find the price point for these figures a bit high considering how small they are. Those who own them, how durable are they?
>>6250431
Good luck with that. I don't think any of the standard retail 4 Inchnel releases have become rare, and some even got discounted/went on sale.
>>6251410
Shit. I have X fatigue from buying all the other figures of him already, but this looks...really great. Gives me a real SNES vibe somehow. Though I suspect that a big part of the appeal is the color he looks in your pic....which probably isn't accurate. I'm expecting it to look a lot more like >>6251980 in real life, which isn't as appealing.
>>6252812
I've heard some people had issues with EXE's knee joints or something like that, but I own Ryoma and standard Megaman and both feel quite solid and sturdy. I don't quite know if the line feels worth the asking price, but they are fairly nice toys.
>>6252802
He listed "not metallic" in the pros section...
>>6252604
Same with EXE. Think there is only 2 net navis that are smaller than him. The rest are taller.
It just hit me. I know what would have made Megaman better. A knee swivel. His legs can't raise very high if you try to raise them straight up, but you can get them higher if you twist them at the thigh. Unfortunately, this makes his knee (and lower leg) go sideways.
>>6249936
>http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-029034
>100 mm
i know that the line is small, but still, i was sure he wasjust a bit taller compared to classic megaman and the others when they showed him past wonfes.
>>6253783
The line is named specifically for its size, son.
>>6251980
I'm actually having real difficulties picturing how small EXE actually is in reality. Like, I have classic Rock and he's SMALL, real small. But EXE is supposedly the same size, and much thinner and spindlier...I can't help but feel it's gonna be this incredibly tiny and easily breakable thing. How did you guys feel? Does EXE feel ludicrously tiny in-hand?
This line's gonna die before I get a Protoman, isn't it?
>>6253834
Hey man, at least you HAVE a modern Protoman figure in the form of Koto's kit. Some of us have been waiting for our favorite Megaman characters to get any sort of toy at all for literally decades.
>>6252604
Exactly, the toys are all too small.
>>6253842
Koto proto is not better than nothing. not even Roll.
I really hate that X is not to scale. Now I will have to buy a D-Arts X.
YOU KNO
>>6254452
>MYEGANIZE MYE
...Yeah...let's wait and see if the show is actually watchable first.
>>6254586
We all know it won't be
Didn't want to shit up the board making a new Megaman thread when everyone talking about the figures in here anyway.
Thoughts on this guy?
>>6254717
I think they shit the bed on it to be quite honest. The panel lining doesn't really seem to follow any kind of sense. It's just all over the place like my 15 year old artist self did it.
I'm not against them taking liberties with the design but they need to be intelligent choices. Riobot's subtle re-imagining of various stuff is a good example of how to do it right.
>>6254739
I agree. The panel lining is fucked, but I can see myself picking him up since he's under 30 and I'm a huge Mega Man fan. I might edit him with so paneling pins to make him look better.
>>6254806
Lining the thing won't help it. It's the fact they're hopping on the Ver. KE's dick and adding unnecessary panel lines. They don't look like they'd have any mechanical purpose since they're really weirdly shaped. It's too ornamental.
I'm gonna putty mine and repaint it. I dig the proportions on it over the 4-inch one desu, the head on the Nel is slightly too big.
>>6254717
It looks cute but also "modernised" like the new spider-man suit
>>6254717
Did Bandai make this? I know they don't know how to do anime faces, and the style looks right off of Nxedge
>>6254892
That X is also an NXedge.
>>6254586
Things aren't looking good, but I'll say this. Whether the show is watchable or not, the aesthetic continues to be garbage, regardless of all the redesigns and style shifts. It's improved over time, but only barely and not anywhere near enough to make it actually look good. I don't have any interest in a figure of this Mega Man.
>>6254717
i want to get it but the panels are really shit
>>6254452
>Mega Man is an upcoming American

BURN TO THE GROUND
BURN TO THE GROUND
BURN. BURN. BURN
>>6254717
man the eva 01 from this line... I wish it was just straight up SD without the... extra panel lines and sharper shapes.
>>6253168
Matte finishes, in certain cases, can be better.
I have to agree that a metallic X would probably end up looking more cheesey than it would good.
>>6251980
Can I still get these somewhere? I would love to start my megaman figure collection with these.
>>6256279
Classic and EXE are available on Amazon for fair prices. X is overpriced there since he's new, but his price will probably fall over time. Or you can go check if any of the Japanese webshops still have him in stock, I'm too lazy to.
>>6256292
Ohh I see. What are these called?
>>6256321
4 Inchnel.
>>6252329
i guess you could fit him with marvel and gi joe figures/???
>Figures in the same line don't scale with each other at all.
Why is this allowed?
>>6254717
What figure is this? Its kinda neat
>>6258106
Nxedgestyle X.
Saw some pics and I'm sold on the 4inch X but everywhere seems to be sold out. Before I jump on it, am I right in reading that all of the megaman toys will literally be the exact same height? If that's the case, I may stick to X.
>>6258572
>Before I jump on it, am I right in reading that all of the megaman toys will literally be the exact same height?

No exceptions. Everything in this line is 4 inches, regardless of what it means for scale.
Can someone take pics of X next to a Figuarts or Marvel Legend? I want to see if he'd scale well for Marvel vs Capcom. I'm sort of doubting it.
>>6254717
It looks like utter dogshit and I kind of want it for that reason.
>>6258102
Because apparently they went full retard with the "4inch" gimmick and ignored how awkward the rest of the figures would be in the exact same scale next to classic mega's ginormous dome.
I'm real glad I'm hella attached to my d-arts X and I missed the preorder window on the 4inchnel, I gotta say.
How is the 4inchnel Megaman? How is the articulation on it? Any problems to look out for?
>>6258711
articulation is great but i like the d-arts design better. i should mention his loose joints and ear parts but i think that's something fixable.
the Cutman two-pack is great though
>>6258711
It needs a knee swivel very, very badly. It has a thigh swivel, but you need to use that to get the leg to move upwards more than a few degrees. So the leg articulation is somewhat hindered. Other than that, it's quite a nice figure. I have mixed feelings about the fact that I paid $40 for something so small and it still isn't perfect, but....what can I say. I like the faces more than any other classic Megaman figures that have ever been made, so that kinda sold me on it.
>>6254717
it truly looks like ass. I share the complain that 4inch-nel X looks like shit next to 4inch-nel classic megaman but even then it's much better than this.
>>6249936
This is great. It would be more than okay for me if this is the last thing we get from the Legends series. It's a good note to leave the series on.
>>6250138
>never upgraded the mega buster so it rapidfired instant killing shots
>Busterlet
Who gave you permission to speak your shit opinion?
>>6254717
I'm still not exactly sure why people are shitting on this figure so hard. I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea, no figure will be honestly, but the negative response to it is much larger than I expected.
I dig the big clear head-jewel, that looks great. Proportions look quite nice for an SD interpretation of X. Colors looks good too. The panel lines...well, some of them do seem a tad arbitrary and crowded, but that's the NXEdge house style, seems foolish to start complaining about it now. Anyway, I don't hate it, the swooping lines interspersed with the straight ones actually quite remind me of Syd Mead's work, which is rad.
seeing it on youtube reviews is making me want it even more... I honestly love Rockman X, played the shit out of it as a kid. I just have a hard time justifying the price for something so small. Do enough anons over here own this to give their opinions on it?
>>6259096
>I can't handle different opinions: the post
>>6259154
Most people are mad because of "muh figure line scale." It's a great figure. Kinda small but $40 ain't bad. Posing is great. Not a ton of accessories but it's fine.
>>6259154
I picked it up and have it in hand--
It's small, for sure, but that doesn't make it any less of an amazing figure. The articulation is amazing (better- not arguably better- but better than the D-Arts), the paint job is nice (this is, of course, my opinion) with the matte finish, and the magnetic feet are something fun.
Accessories are few-- but that makes sense. You get open hands, closed costs, the buster, and one additional face plate.
Scale was never an issue for me, as I prefer the smaller figures to begin with. Usually anything above 6 inches resembles too much of a doll to me, so the smaller and, especially in this case, nice detailed adds a lot of personality to the figure. It's small, so it's portable and can literally go anywhere.
It's like, don't get me wrong, the D-Arts X was and still is a great figure, but 4InchNel X can sit and crouch and pull off the more aesthetic fighting poses and stances. And, unlike the very nice TruForce, you can easily take 4InchNel X in a bag or in your pocket to fiddle with on the go-- I'm a fan of toy photography in the real world, so a smaller figure fits my needs perfectly :)
Hope this helps.
Just got my 4-inch X.
Pros:
Feels really solid
MAGNETS
Joints are hidden a bit better than on the D-Arts
Same size as the old Mega Armor models by Bandai, so if you happen to have the ride armor from that you can put this X in just fine.
Cons:
D-Arts is more posable
Has less accessories
Wouldn't put him too close to a computer or game console
Overall, he's pretty nifty. I don't regret getting him. The magnets alone are my favorite feature, and if I ever get that ride armor he's totally going in it.
>>6259087
This is so sad. But I agree as a legends fan.
>>6259700
How is the D-Arts more poseable?
4Inch can do a standing side kick (think Kamen Rider Kabuto style), reach across to touch his other shoulder, AND sit properly in a chair.
The D-Arts cannot do that, unless my D-Arts has some weird QC issue.
>>6259700
>D-arts is more posable
That's not true. What are you talking about?
>>6259651
I'm not complaining that people don't like it. I'm just saying I find it kind of confusing cause the figure really doesn't seem that bad to me.
i hope you guys enjoy your 4inch X. I always considered the D-arts to be perfect in every way, coffee cup elbows and visible seams be damned. bandai fucked a lot of you with its release
>>6260318
The D-Arts is definitely LESS poseable. Don't get me wrong, the D-Arts is quite poseable, but the 4Inch is more.
Arm poseability and torso poseability are comparable-- however, the 4Inch has better hip/leg articulation. He can properly extended his leg forward and sideways. He can also sit in a chair properly.
>>those perfect SNES-like MMX proportions
>>figure itself is kind of cheap and shitty
>>another line of all blue main Megamans
One day
>>6262802
Well if niggas would stop dropping the ball when it came to buying Mega Man figures, we'd be into a full line of ZX D-Arts.
>>6262802
There's actually a red Megaman in there too. If the line is popular, which it seems to be, there's a good chance of much more variety. This is just the first wave. It's almost like the old DB 66 wave, with just the 4 main Saiyans. Nothing else came out of that line until recently with the improved ones. We'll have to see if this one can pick up steam.
>>6262883
itd be nice if we get an enemy/boss line
>>6262942
It's all fucked by the line's "scale" though
>get robot masters
>they're all as tall as Megaman
>>6263231
what about Chill Penguin etc
>>6263150
I didn't pre-order because I didn't know what to expect. Now it's too late.
>>6263150
I originally thought this was a good sign, but then I realized it's much more likely they did this because so many parts could be reused from Mega Man himself.
And at least two were webshop exclusives, so they could put a hefty markup on already expensive figures.
>>6263231
>Ride Armor announced
>it's 4 inches tall
>>6257792
bumping this
>>6264266
>4 inch FrostMan
>>6254717
The overly done lines are ugly and add nothing but clutter to the design.
>>6264266
no. it has to fit X who rides it
>2 inches
Out of curiosity, has anyone painted their Megas?
>>6262802
man, i can't wait for these to come
