Does anyone remember when there were toys in cereal boxes and fruit snacks? If so, post your favorites!
I'll start: Shark Bites glow in the dark Great White
>>6249534
Oh man, I remember these. I think I had the green shark.
They still have them, but not nearly as often
these were pretty good
>>6249534
Those remind me of Crazy Bones
>>6249654
I ordered some original crazy bones packs on eBay recently for really cheap. Was a good experience
>>6249534
The Kellogg's Disney afternoon pvcs were awesome
>>6249534
As soon as I saw that picture it was like a nostalgia bomb but if I didn't happen to see it, I never would have remembered those for the rest of my life.
>>6249534
>tfw I lived in that brief period of time in which these were a thing and that I owned the great white
I am so, so sorry for you newfags who never experienced the thrill of getting worthwhile toys in your cereal boxes.
>>6249534
Never had those as a kid. My mom only got pic related.
>>6249733
I wish they had made more characters. All of those cartoons were Goat AF. Darkwing, Talespin, Gummi Bears, Ducktales...And they all got neglected toy wise, recieving half-assed lines.
Do Happy Meals toys count? I loved this Back to Future car from McDonalds.
The Monsters in My Pocket cereal prize run
For some reason my cousin and I would always do rock paper scissors when we had a cereal box with a prize in it
I won and got a green version of the multiheaded buff dragon
>>6249534
That white shark terrorized many of my toys.
>>6249733
Fff, I wanted Darkwing Duck and Gizmo Duck from these sets, but they didn't honor the promo if you lived in a U.S. territory.
>>6249946
10/10 happy meal toy. The flux capacitor had a flint that sparked, didn't it?
>>6250017
Very practical. I still have one that lights up. Too bad the battery isn't replacable.
>>6250421
Yup. Do they even make sparking toys anymore?
>>6252512
No, pretty sure they were outlawed for catching things on fire.
Not a toy but man did I love these bowls as a kid ... I wish I still had them
>>6252512
>>6252516
4th TF film had them. Work around is the flint is encased in clear plastic shell.
>>6252542
I think I still have one.
>>6249534
>>6249733
Oh man, I had the Megamouth shark from Sharkbites (the inside of the mouth glowed in the dark) and a Don Karnage pvc. At one time, Frosted Flakes had a mail away promo for a Darkwing Duck bubble gun. The only thing I ever sent away for, but it was well worth it.
>>6252700
>megamouth
I actually just got one of those, I never had it as a kid though.
>>6250017
Quite pleased with the kellogs spoons.
Nice for eating yoghurts or making hot drinks with.
The new ones with the straws in have a very small head though, not ideal
>>6249534
I fucking loved the toys that came with Thunder Jets. It's shame there doesn't seem to be any decent pictures of them.
When Jurassic Park 2 came out Nesquick had plastic dinosaur fossils inside the boxes. I hunted for the raptor claw for ages until I finally got one :D
>>6249534
I'm not sure why, but I've never been struck with such desire before. The idea of getting that pleasant little plastic shark in a package of fruit snacks seems unreal and wonderful. I want that shark worse than anything right now.
Back in my day (the 60's) we were all about these and sports trading cards in corn flakes.
>>6249689
You either A. didn't get original crazy bones, or B. didn't get them for "really cheap" because the original price for a bag was $4 and they're selling for more than $4 plus shipping on ebay.
Reminder that it is now illegal to conceal a children's toy inside a sealed food container. This is why cereal no longer has toys
>>6249927
That off-brand Aldi life.
>>6249534
I had the white and blue ones.
>>6249733
Had these guys too.
>>6250017
Had a couple of those.
>>6252700
These guys too.
Man, where did they all go? Thought I stored my old toys somewhere, but I couldn't find them.
Best haul I think was getting a couple Han Solo Disguised as Stormtrooper in the mail from sending in proof of purchases.
>>6249733
Holy shit I had all those. I loved the darkwing duck set. Fuck, I had no clue cane from cerak boxes.
Man, I miss prizes in food items. The best was being the right age during the POGs craze, pic related and others like 'em came in bags of chips (not even wrapped either, just tossed in). Still have a ton of them, the toothed ones are great for building forts for army men.
>>6252542
FUCK YES. My mom still has my Mikey at her place. I loved that bowl.
>>6249927
i never had those for lunch. and those were my two favorite things
>>6263652
kankergoeie tijden godverdomme
>>6250017
Neat, I had the green indiana jones one
>>6249733
This really is like a punch in the stomach. If Disney related toys like these were still inside cereal boxes I'd actually have a reason to buy cereal.
>>6252700
Shit, I still have this little guy. I found him on the street while walking around as a kid. Didn't know he was a cereal box toy.
I once got a shitty Tony the tiger toy in a box once. I loved him to death as a kid. You would put him in water, and he would bop around. Still have him somewhere I think.
Got this cool color changing Aladdin cereal box spoon once. They also made a Lion King version.
>>6269612
I love these.
You put baking soda or something in them.
>>6249534
no contest. These game pieces were easily my favorites. Especially that robot.
I should see if I can track these down again.
>>6249733
I had the ones from RESCUE RANGERS Those were epic and came on the outside of the box right before these.
My korean email exchange pal sent me these after telling her i like toy robots
>tfw i will never have a qt k-girlfriend who'll get me yogurt drinks with robot charms
Why live?
>>6270946
My mom bought one of these for my from my local asian store in the US
>tfw it wasn't my gf who bought them for me
>>6271005
I wish i had an asian grocery near me. Closest is like an hour and a half drive.
>>6271025
tfw live like 5 minutes away from a big one and theres like 4 more 10 and 15 mintues away.
Sucks mate and I'm not even in california. Houston rocks
>>6259778
To be fair, a lot of their food is better than Wal-mart's.
>>6271005
which one?
>>6249689
The first wave crazy bones and the alien wave were marketed in my country by Coca-Cola. You had to trade bottle caps and some money for a pack with two.
>>6270737
Holy fuck I ate so many goddamn boxes of captain crunch to get that robot
I had some from when The Tick was airing on fox kids, and they had I think little toys you could fill with baking soda like sewer urchin.
Can't remember which cereal had them though, I know when kelloggs corn flakes was promoting star fox me and my brother mailed away for the watch but never got it.
>>6270737
I have some of those. I even own the prototypes.
>>6276008
Whoa, amazing collection, man. You should track down some of Talyn's Baron Sogg resin bootlegs to lead your squad.
>>6249654
I remember these! Here in Italy they were called "Go-Gos" or something like that. I got first two packs outside my elementary school. Back then sample stuff from neestands was given freely to elementary children even during the lessons.
I remember this guy entering the class with two box full of sticker albums of Medaroth. Nostalgia canaglia!
>>6276008
my god, i am impressed
>>6276008
Damn dude
>>6276014
Where would you even find one of these? Dude only made a couple dozen.
>>6276545
Most likely trading someone from OTF, where Talyn used to hang out a lot. A good start is probably asking around the Glyos community, who are closely related.
>>6249534
I don't have any pics to share but I distinctly remember always visiting an asian supermarket and running into these snack boxes (at least I think they were but I'm also remembering them as candy boxes) but the toy inside was a miniature gunpla kit with the most common I ran into being Zaku's. As far as I can recollect the whole build was as basic as it comes and barely much color variety but the designs always drew me back.
>>6276008
Here are the original sculpts.
>>6277529
Pretty cool anon!
only ones worth a shit
>>6269622
holy fuck nostalgia.
I still remember those having a nice texture for a plastic spoon. What a weird memory.
>>6278388
I had these too. They had a weird shine to them. I should dig them out, they're probably somewhere...
>>6278388
I had those and the second wave.
>>6278388
Every time I see the cinnamon pop tarts I think of these. I remember getting all of them, good shit. Around the same time or a bit later they made some big round spinning tops, I had a Marill shaped one.
>>6281506
This spinners where cool I had the owl one, and the gengar one
