I PO'd from HLJ, way back in December or November when the original PO was up. I finally got Vulpix last month from the same PO period, and it's fantastic so I'd really like the Rockruff too but by now I'm just waiting for the cancellation email.

So, how's that TOMY articulated Mewtwo?
I always here people talk about the Greninja and Machamp but not much talk about the Mewtwo.
>>6258085
because no one really buys it, most everyone here knows it's D-Arts or nothing for Mewtwo
>>6257928
That one exists, we just don't have it here apparently. It's not Guzma, its just a grunt sadly.
>>6258220
so everyone hates VAH Mewtwo? because i hate D-arts mewtwo, but only because i dont really know if it IS better.
>>6258613
the mold is bad and doesn't resemble Mewtwo
>>6258613
I don't hate it, but it's not any better than the D-arts. If VAH Mewtwo was the same size as the D-arts, and didn't have that crazy dark shading, then maybe I would have gotten it. It's a smaller figure with less articulation and costs more money.
>>6253882
I work at Target and we just got them in today's shipment, along with a bunch of zygarde doggos and goos. No mega mawile yet, though.
I'd also been hunting for them with no luck, so I'm guessing they'll be more common in April and beyond when Tomy's next "wave" hits more retailers.
>>6258676
>dat shading
>>6258676
that additional shin joint looks interests me. but how about his tail? im hoping it touches the ground
>>6258085
It's a fun toy and worth the 10 bucks; just be mindful of the toy's finish. Thinking it'd be impossible to get, I bought the first one I found in stores and its head and legs are a nasty and super glossy plastic.
The ones on shelves now seem to have a nice and consistent matte finish, but some still have random shiny parts.
Beyond that it's like the rest of the Tomy line; it's impressively good at only ten bucks, but leaves you wishing it cost a little more and had a handful more joints and some option parts.
What options are there for Lunala toys? The size on >>6250789 seems promising, but I'm not really after scale.
>>6258670
This.
I impulsively bought the VAH Mewtwo, as an alternative to the D-Arts. But I haven't opened it yet, because I just hate the sculpt - especially his goofy hands and head. The D-Arts is a better, moodier resemblance to Mewtwo, especially from the first movie.
>>6258613
>>6258676
As someone who has owned both, VAH is vastly superior to D-Arts. VAH has much more dynamic articulation, especially in his legs and tail. VAH also has way more and much better accessories than D-Arts, though I will admit that neither has a very good shadow ball. VAH is also much more expressive than D-Arts. I always thought D-Arts looked like he was just blankly content, but VAH looks straight pissed. The only problems with VAH are that it's based on the Pokken model and it's a little short, but I don't mind the Pokken model, and the height problem isn't bad enough to be a dealbreaker.
>>6259230
VAH has much more dynamic articulation, especially in his legs and tail.
The tail only looks good when posed to conform to the sculpted curve, it's limited.
I don't know about vastly superior. It's pretty subjective. Yeah I can see why some people would like it. I like the sculpt I have no problem with the design. But for me, I already have a D-arts that is more in scale with the upcoming trainer SH Figuarts and Figmas. The VAH is too small to put next to Ash or Red. The ugly paint job is what killed it the most. His legs look burnt and the contrast with the joints doesn't look good. Unless someone is a Mewtwo collector that wants both, there is no reason to get the VAH if you already have a good D-arts.
>>6259282
VAH's tail is a little limited by the sculpt, but D-Arts tail is limited by design. It can pretty much only go straight or do a slight curve. It certainly can't do anything close to pic related, which VAH can at least get close to. Which Mewtwo is better is purely subjective, but for me, VAH is the better, more dynamic, more posable choice. It's just a more fun toy to me, but if you don't care about posing and just want it to look good on a shelf next to other figures, I could see why you'd prefer D-Arts
Not really the biggest Pokémon toy fanatic, all merch that I have that is Pokémon related are pictured here.
I would love an articulated figure of Scyther or Scizor.
probs not gonna happen though
I am not much for Pokemon merch but when I saw the Kuttamari plushes on PokemonCenter, I HAD to get Raichu and Cubone. (I'm quite fond of Raichu and my wife's favorite Pokemon is Cubone) It will be a lovely surprise for her, since there is very little merch out there of Cubone

Sadly my Z-Ring seems fucked as it randomly hangs and makes screeching noises that don't stop unless I remove the batteries.
>>6259289
My D-Arts poses fine, my tail does nice curves. You just really like the VAH and that's ok.
>>6259358

I found Lucario at a convention for $60, is it worth picking up despite the weird pokken textures?

As far as I know, they get them at roughly the same time that the US PokeCen site does, since both Nintendo NY and the PokeCen website are supplied directly by The Pokemon Company USA.
>>6275839

It'd be nice to have her due to having good pokemon figures now, but her articulation sucked so whatever.
Squirtle plush from Build a Bear is coming soon. Here's hoping we get Bulbasaur some time after.
>>6280144
How will they do a quadruped body type? I like bulbasaur, I hope they can pull it off without looking freaky.
>>6276766
>tfw bought Serena on preorder because you saw the art for her and she was hot
>tfw later find out she's nothing but a shitty shipbait 'character' who doesn't even develop a real character until like 50 episodes in.
>>6280339
They did Eevee previously, so Bulbasaur shouldn't be an issue, probably the least costume friendly one though.
>>6280391
The problem with bulbasaur is going to be the bulb. Build a bear has quadruped animals quite frequently and has outfits tailored to fit them.
They don't have a GIANT FUCKING BULB on their backs though.
>>6280447
They would do the bulb like a backpack, like Toothless's razor-edged wings.

I'd love to try this myself. It doesn't appear too difficult, but I'm not sure, I don't really have the know-how.
>>6281949
I don't have both on hand to compare them directly right now, but I think they'd scale well considering Mega Blaziken is supposed to be 6'03" and Lucario is supposed to be 3'11".
>>6281949
>>6282446
Another Anon posted this a while back, it should help give you a good comparison. I think Blaziken is the same size as the Figuarts Lucario; if not a bit taller?
>>6281949
Have both, and yes it does. Figuarts Lucario is a freak and dwarfs anything next to it, which sucks as it's only like 3 feet. VAH is superior in everything but some articulation.

Tomy's Mega Mawile is out. I found it at a Target today. It's about as articulated as you'd expect for a figure of Mawile. The jaws feel like solid plastic and are pretty heavy. Here's a pic with Greninja for scale.
>>6289409
Post more pics and in depth review of articulation, thnx
>>6289409
Yeah that scale looks about right.
God those arms though.
Saw this on the Takara Tomy website
>>6290205
Ah, cool, they got the shine on Pikachu too for the Z-Power. Nice wrist additions on Ash, but too bad he will still have limited hip movement. Probably too much to ask for those to have ball pegs at the feet. Might have to do that myself.
>>6289409
>>6289416
The head, both jaws, hips, and arms are all ball-jointed. The giant mouths are pinned, and the waist and feet can swivel. Her jaws are really heavy, so no matter the pose they will be resting on the ground. She's honestly pretty decent though. Good sculpt with no serious flaws. Her limitations are due to her design rather than engineering, so you can't fault Tomy for trying to make it work. For what it is, they did a good job. That said, I could only recommend her if you're a fan of Mawile.
>>6290205

Look like they're knock off nano blocks. I don't know where to get these specifically but you can get similar ones made by Loz on gearbest for like 3 bucks each. I have a Loz set and for 3 bucks is a great deal. Pieces stay together great.
Is it possible to collect all existing pokemon in plush form?
>>6291506
No, because there still aren't ones from the latest game that have plush releases yet.
Then even if that were so, you'd have to be able to time travel as releases are staggered and older ones are really hard to find.
>>6291568
okay, lets say: Is it possible to collect all Pokémon in Plush form minus the latest gen?

No. Some pokemon have never gotten official plushies. I'm STILL waiting on a shuckle over here.
The only plushies that have actually caught my eye are the PC Zoroark and the substitute plush (most recent version?). What are some others that are about on par (Substitute actually looked accurate, and Zoroark wasn't derpy looking), but preferably a little bigger than Zoroark? I want something to hug when I go to sleep, and Zoroark is a tad small for such.
Pls no bully.
I had a question here >>6285972. Can someone please clarify what they are? Seems like there's a massive price disparity between their statues, most of which are found only in sketchy places Aliexpress/Taobao.
Pic related for example is $160 freedom bucks ($229 singapore dollar) and it says that it is a super limited edition where they only make 200 of them. However you can find the same figure for much cheaper on taobao.
Are the taobao ones bootleg? Is there any bootleg of these? Some statues like the big charizard and lugia here >>6285972 seems to cheap for their size and quality, but some statues like the Weezing and Arbok are fairly small but still cost an arm and leg.

I'm the Anon from this post >>6295951. To be honest I'm not even sure what the story is with these kinds of resin figures. I've seen them go for hundreds on eBay, yet they're very common among PokeInstagrammers and they vary in price all over Taobao, even for the same figure. My guess is like yours, that some are bootlegs of Pokestudio figures, but I can't be certain on the quaily. Maybe some other Anons know better.
Tapu Koko finally arrived! Either customs or my post office messed up though so it took 6 weeks to get here. They were also kind enough to dent up my box... The contents inside were safe though because of PlazaJapan's packaging. I even got the Pokemon Center bag and Eeveelution poster as freebies. I was hesitant to use PlazaJapan at first, but they're a great site with fair prices, especially if you preorder early. Tapu Koko was only $37 dollars before shipping which is just a bit over retail. >implying a picture of toys needs to be 4k hd
Get that autism checked out
>>6303294
youre shelf is breaking, throwing the ball made it worse
>>6303379
No.
But actually being visible would be nice.
>>6303294
oh shit, the mega mawile is out?
>>6302174
Had no idea there was a shiny Tapu Koko plush. Hope I can find one, is it a limited thing? Hope there are shiny ones of the other 3 eventually.
>>6304246
yikes you need to get that blindness checked out, thats a lot worse then my parkinsons
What expressions do you want the Lillie Nendoroid to have?
>>6302174
How bizarre. We ordered from the same seller and has the same issue. I preordered my Shiny Koko and A-Persian and they also took about 6 weeks. I got mine only a few days before you (going by post date). I has also preordered the new ditto set, which came out a week after Koko, and the boxes arrived on the same day.
>>6306099
Ditto stuff I got, if anyone cares. Hoping the US Center gets the rest.
>>6306085
1,3 and 6
>>6306099
Yeah, I'm not entirely sure what went wrong. I really like the site and their prices are affordable, but if the package takes that long again, I'm going to have to use a different seller.
Also, that Persian is cute. I was thinking about getting one on release, but went for Shiny Tapu Koko instead since I doubt the US will get it and I really like shinies. I might order it with Incineroar next time I make a purchase.
>>6306085
#4 is my favorite : T
Also want 6 and 1
>>6306085
4 and 9
>>6306100
I know some people find them creepy or derpy, but I think transformed ditto toys are so cute.
>That transforming gimmick
Love it
>>6306165
I've been ordering from them for a long time The packages awhile back used to always take 2-4 weeks. This was the first time I ordered and it was supposed to be 2 weeks and took so long.
Next time, I'm gonna just shell out for the super fast shipping. I've also taken to pre-ordering from Amazon Japan (they have official Pokemon Center preorders and more) but their shipping is so insanely expensive. However with that price you get a tracking number, Amazon guarantee, and they text you in advance when your package will arrive so you know to be home to sign.
>>6306100
The big snorlax looks like shit compared to the tiny one. I get that it has a gimmick, but it looks like a Chinese knockoff.
I wish the TOMY pokemon line would release more stuff faster. I was looking forward to Rotom and Mimikyu.
>>6308729
same, I ended up ordering a pair of Mimikyu from HLJ back in February and still haven't gotten even a notification
I'm so excited for the Pikipek and Salandit figures, as well as the Grubbin extra large pack too.
went to Walmart to pick up some supplies for work and found this
it's really heavy and messes with the articulation
>>6310530
I mean mawile just stands there in the game, even when attacking its not moving much so I think its pretty accurate
Have there been any toys of Mareanie so far? Haven't really been paying attention to Pokemon stuff for a while.
>>6311889
not to my knowledge, not even a Kid
>>6311936
Hm. Don't suppose any of the Ultra Beasts have gotten anything either? Or Golisopod?
Would have thought half a year would have been enough to get more Gen 7 stuff out there.
>>6311651
Not that anon, but it's literally pointless to be articulated. Like, you can't even do anything with it. No poses or anything.
>>6311987
neither UBs nor Golisopod have gotten figures yet, only Tapu Koko has gotten a figure
>>6301648
I broke down and ordered the bag finally. Now I just need the Neb.
Poo
>>6312369
Tapu Koko has two plushes. Shiny and regular.
>>6312338
Its looks articulated so people don't complain (which people will anyway). Its a static pokemon that never does anything
>>6313530
speaking of, did anyone pick up any of the GET figures?
>>6291875
Pls respond
>>6315153
are you looking for current releases or any release?
Saw one of these for about 16 USD. Worth buying?
>>6315897
you like stickers?
>>6315929
why?
>>6315936
some of the details youre looking at? those are stickers. maybe not the eyes, but what''s on the eyes
>>6315897
Not really, since you can get a three pack with Shiny and Regular Genesect kit + a Mewtwo kit for 2000yen if you lurk mandarake and a single Shiny Genesect kit was 700 or 800
yen
Even if these are easy kits you still need tools to make them not look like shit
Some anon posted pics of his a couple threads back covered in untreated nubs and it looked disgusting
>>6315897
Not sure if anyone here actually bought it but I did. This is the best pokepla figure I've purchased. The stickers are minimal and the best out of the ones i purchased.
So apparently the toy company called Wicked Cool Toys is going to handle the Pokemon toyline next year
>>6319156
does that mean we're no longer getting tomy stuff in the US?
>>6319156
Well back to out of scale abominations
Life sucks
>>6319156
>Wicked Cool Toys
Source?
>>6319321
2 seconds on google
>>6319328
....
Ok. That doesn't tell us too much.
Hopefully it's just something along the line of Ionix or whatever and the Tomy stuff can keep coming.
>>6319338
Wicked cool toys has the master license
If they diced to make figures they can 100% block tomy from importing their figures
>>6319351
decide*
>>6319351
Fffffffufufuufffff fffffffufufuufffff
Uck
>>6319351
>master license
You mean for the USA only, right?
>>6319460
I believe it's US only
>>6319156
>I wonder what these guys make
>First thing on their website is a big picture of a new Teddy Ruxpin
Jesus christ how horrifying
>>6319466
Well all they're going to do is make all of the popular common pokemon figures again. So more Eevee, starters, Legends, and Lucario.
>>6319543
Here are some figures they've made. I don't expect much from them, but I'd love to be proven wrong.
So they've apparently inserted themselves into this company's board of directors and will be able to make certain decisions. Likened to their relationship with Niantic.
"The Pokémon Company International has also become a strategic investor in Wicked Cool Toys and will have a seat on the toy company’s board of directors. The partnership will also allow for enhanced collaboration in the development of Pokémon toys and is in line with the partnership approach the company engaged in with Niantic, the developer and publisher of “Pokémon Go,” last year."
Also,
"Meanwhile, Tomy, the brand’s current master toy partner, will continue to be a key licensee and will produce select products inspired by the brand’s video games, such as the Pokémon Z-Ring, which interacts with “Pokémon Sun” and “Pokémon Moon” games."
So I guess Tomy won't be in charge of the toys anymore, but will still do things like electronic toys, and maybe plushes?
I would hope that they'll continue at least something similar to the scale line, along with more articulated Pokemon figures. My only real issue with Tomy was how slow they were at releasing products, so hopefully that's rectified but we still get some pretty good quality figures.
>>6319156
their toys look really disappointing, but maybe they'll just do playsets...wouldn't mind a new battle arena or the likes a la WWE rings they do
>>6319351
once again, i support a toyline just to watch it die
>>6319571
> Wild Kratts
>Some animals
Holy fuck,. Did Kratts creatures/Zoboomafoo get a cartoon reboot or something ?
>>6319156
why is TPCi such shit
>on to a new company
>Still have barely found any trace of S/M toys
>>6320607
hopefully it starts picking up in june
>>6319156
>>6319571
>>6320178
Takara Tomy was finally doing something right with the Pokemon Hero scale.
At the moment I feel like this licensing thing is worse than Jakks and when Hasbro stopped using Takara Tomy molds and weirder scaling.
Maybe it'll go back to Takara Tomy when we get Gen 9 where it takes place in NOT Australia or something.
>>6320619
The starters are gonna show up in two packs right?
I thought I saw a paper that implied that
>>6320691
Theres a youtuber named pituvision that already found all the new two packs
Is this really an online exclusive?
>>6320864
Nevermind, apparently they are sold in stores.
Does anybody wish the Pokemon Duel figures were actual figures? Because I fucking love this pose and action so much.
>>6321688
Of course, but sadly the boat has probably sailed for good on Pokemon TFG/Duel figures. At this point it would cost so much to produce the retail would be even higher than it used to be and they would once again not sell. They could maybe work as PVC figures though, as opposed to what they used to be made of. And whether or not they kept the game aspect in anything real life, who knows. It would be cool if they found a way to keep costs down and try to bring back the game. Duel seems to be doing quite well for itself but who knows how a real life counterpart would be. I'd be happy with even just a promo figure or two, if nothing else.
>>6320217
Yeah, where have you been? They got too old to be in front of the camera, so they made the cartoon. The show is kind of Dora the explorer mixed with Captain planet.
>>6322058
How long ago was that? Nothing has ever made me feel so of as knowing the live show I watched when I was little had a cartoon show that I entirely missed.
>>6320864
These just arrived this morning. Definitely getting Blastoise now. They're just as soft as the ones from Pokemon Center, great size, very well done. I had pretty low expectations but I'm extremely happy with them.
I really, really hope they make the Venusaur, Tyranitar, and Gengar they showed.
>>6253965
Yep! The new GSC line finally came in a few days ago.
>>6323293
Are Charizard's wings floppy? Wired? And huh, didn't even know about the Ninetales.
>>6323299
Holy fuck I NEED that totodile
>>6323300
Sadly, just kinda floppy. It feels like there's some flimsy poster board in them. If you ever felt the wings on the Toothless from Build a Bear, it's like that. Otherwise, great plushie.
>>6323394
They keep trying to curl up behind him since that's how they were pinned in the packaging
Big Banpresto Bewear also came in! Here he is with the Pokemon Center one for size comparison (Banpresto one is the big guy in back). Not as soft as the Pokemon Center one, but perfect size of good hugs and cuddles.
>>6322058
Ive only seen a few bits of the show while aimlessly flipping channels, but they still get in front of the camera for parts of the show.
>>6323434
Yea, I was hoping for at least some wire for posing. Overall, I totally recommend him.
I had pre-ordered mine from ToyWiz but have you found them anywhere else? I saw Charizard and Blastoise on Amazon with Prime shipping but they're from some 3rd party that are just as expensive as ToyWiz.
> S.H.F. Pikachu is a 40usd abomination
> Plamo Pikachu is a 7usd model kit and looks 10x better
Articulated Pikachu will alway be an absolutely shit concept, but Bandai what are you even doing
>>6324323
How big is it?
>>6324323
is this the model or the toy?
That looks real crappy, so it's the Figuarts, right?
I don't get how it can have that much articulation and still look rigid as fuck.
>>6324517
That's not the Figuarts, the Figuarts has articulated hands for some unholy reason.
This does look a lot better, though obviously not amazing.
>>6324523
so they're both shit and not worth considering?
>>6324539
I mean, maybe. I don't own either.
This one really doesn't look that bad, especially for 7 bucks, but that's just me. You do you.
>>6324323
Oh I want this Pikachu
Can it do all fours?
>>6301658
>they already all have pokedolls
Yeah and they're bootlegged to hell and back
>>6323332
I have totodile. I definitely like mine.
>>6301658
These just came out today in Japan. I heard they're made with the new extremely soft Mocchi fabric.
Just when you thought the eevee train was about to stop... These life-size eeveelution plushies were just announced. More info will be available on June 2nd.
I'm excited for these, and want to get an espeon but I wish there was more time before orders started. I already have 2 huge plushies pre-ordered and need to liquidate an expensive plush of mine if I want to be able to afford espeon. And I'm afraid to even guess how much it will be to ship these internationally.
>>6325569
Someone is going to spend a small fortune buying all 9 of these and getting them shipped from Japan to whatever shithole they live in.
Shit even I'm tempted to get 1 or 3. If they make Flareon extra fluffy, it's a done deal. If Jolteon looks cool, spikey and sharp, it's a wrap. If I had to get only one, it would be Leafeon.
>>6271981
Right now, I don't even care what you want is girly shit.
You want something, and your letting something like, what people think holding you back.
You are the master of your fate.
If you don't take control of your life and do what you damn please.
Then this world will eat you up, and shit you out.
Now man up and go buy that shit.
>>6258676
There needs to be a figure of this Mewtwo
>>6325742
dear lord no, the VAH was bad enough, we don't need a second abomination.
so i posted a while back that a preowned japanese store opened in malaysia
got this lil plush for a buck
>>6325799
all these were a buck
>>6325800
and this frogger was also a buck
>>6325799
you're that guy that refused to middleman us shit right?
>>6326163
Yeah, I remember that cunt. I guess he's here to gloat again.
anyone copping?
>11in
i'm really stoked for the FRLG Red figma. I wish we had more details on it
>>6326443
I hope a lot of people buy it. I want other trainers, don't really care about FRed, but I feel like I need to buy it so they can make more.
>>6326458
i feel you on that.
>>6326436
didn't realize I forgot the image
>>6326703
Dude, you can...you're not paying for shipping you fucking retard, whoever asks you to buy the item is.
>>6326589
ugh
>>6323293
What did the Tyranitar look like?
>>6326589
This pose has been done to death since the series began, and yet even a high-end statue can't make it look good.
If expensive Charizard statues are your thing, it's worth considering the GEM Charizard if you can deal with Ash's typical GEM melon head and off-putting soulless gaze tainting an otherwise amazing sculpt.
>>6326589
This shitty pose is what kept me from having any interest in Charizard for the longest time. He just looks like an angry bong.
new Plamo, Ho-Oh looks pretty good
>>6326975
The Plamo is passable at best. Always.
>>6326937
I know it's not Pokemon, but I ordered the the Greymon GEM statue instead because Ash is just so off putting to me.
>>6326978
Jesus, that thing is huge
>>6326930
This guy.
Need that big Dratini, too.
>>6327606
I don't know if you already have it or not, but the Pokemon Center has a big Dragonair right now.
https://www.pokemoncenter.com/dragonair-pok%C3%A9-plush-%28large-size%29---28-701-02842
>>6328103
I do! Thank you! I've got the Pokemon Time Dragonair and the Pokemon Center one!
>>6326937
Out of curiosity I filled in Ash's pupils and I think it looks a little better.
>>6325776
Yes we do. It'd be for people with good taste to buy.
>>6325569
where did you preorder these?
>>6323293
Did they ever have a release date for the Tyranitar plush? I can't seem to find any info on it.
>>Get VAH Mewtwo for birthday.
>> Breaks in half from trying to turn waist.
FML.
>>6331091
>VAH
serves you right
>>6331091
uh oh, and i just sold my D-arts
>>6331091
Glad I was able to sell off my VAH a few weeks back.
>>6331275
Told my friend and returned it to amazon.
So Build A Bear is getting Squirtle next on June 1, is anyone interested?
If he's anything like the previous BAB Pokemon, he'll be a really nice plush.
>>6332477
i still find it beary odd that theyre not making Stufful/Bewear plushes
>>6332507
They've only gone for gen 1 so far and even then, only the most normie Pokemon possible: Pikachu, Eevee, and Charmander.
They keep selling out really quick, so maybe they'll eventually expand the line.
As long as they don't do all the fucking Eevee evos.
Unfortunately, this raincoat and the voice box is exclusive to the online bundle, but there's an ultra ball hoodie you will be able to buy in stores that keeps with the theme, since Pikachu had a poke ball hoodie and Charmander had a great ball hoodie.
>>6332507
they're going for safe sales, though if this were in Japan, that would sell like hotcakes
>>6253882
My ToysRus in Australia has had them for weeks
>>6332477
I want it and hope they do Bulbasaur.
