I would die if they made a Manaka Laala cu-poche, I already have the co-des of her but I really want something that's actually articulated and right now cu-poches are my favorite line. It helps if you go with friends or family that are chill with your hobby. The Lori gourmet market from target. It's $15, has a lot of stuff, including pizza, and is the perfect size for cu-poche.

I went to Dollar Tree and found some clothing that fit Alice. I need to pin the ruffle down on the left dress to sit correctly. The other one the straps need tightened and/or I'll just make it into a skirt.

But yeah. These are good if you want some dresses that need just a bit of sewing instead of making one from scratch.

But I think that her normal standard face doesn't look bad either, the issue is that with other poches they always put a normal standard face along with two other faces with more exagerated emotions (i.e. happy, angry, sad or crying face) with Alice and Akazukin as they only comes with one face, they feel kind of incompleted in the expresive department IMO, that's why they need the extra faces set or borrow faces from other poches

Cute, really cute. Only thing I probably would have changed is pulling back a little for nicer framing. The way the chair leg/back align with the edge of the frame (and is so close) is distracting.

I would also normally tell you to fix your white balance, but weirdly I kind of like this warm tone for this specific pic. It feels sort of...like a warm glow. Home-y.

I've been going through a bunch of toy stuff I have saved from when I was buying stuff for monster high dolls. I found some accessories that work. Mattle had released these packs with shoes, crowns, necklaces, and purses for disney princess dolls. I need to get around to building a proper diorama.

Personally i thought it had too much free space. I tried to convey the feel that it could actually be some sort of room she was in, and not only forniture at the centre of my desk.
But yeah, i need to improve my photografy.

Most stuff that scales with nendos will scale with poche since they're prett close in height. I actualky noticed that some barbie accessories work. The glasses on Alice I believe are some barbie ones I cut the stems on to fit. I had to work them a bit to fit under Alice's bangs.

I actually have several wigs (the kind made for bratzilla and so on). That I want to cut, and then make a piece that fits a poche's head sans their molded hair. Might be cute but we'll have to see how it goes.

Okay, so I'm not sure if you're shooting with a phone or actual camera, but either way, look for a white balance setting. This basically corrects for whatever kind of lighting you're shooting under (fluorescent, incandescent, daylight, etc) and corrects your colors so you can avoid overly yellowish or bluish tones. If your camera doesn't have this setting, you can also correct this in Photoshop (or similar image editors). You can try auto color (shift-ctrl-B), which sometimes fixes the problem by itself, or correct the colors manually (shift-B then play with the sliders). Photoshop CS2 is free now if you don't have it yet, just register an account on Adobe.com and go to downloads. They supply you with a serial number and everything.

As for framing, I mostly just meant you don't want tangents. You can google "tangents in photography" to learn more about this. For example, in your most recent photo the way Rei's finger is just touching the edge of the chair back would be a tangent. It takes a while to be able to spot stuff like this so don't worry too much for now!

To get the impression of her actually being in the room, I would probably get in even closer. I cropped your photo to simulate this. You can also print or cut out a tiny poster and put it on the wall behind her, this accomplishes a few things at the same time:

1. It tells you where the wall is so it doesn't look like an infinite white void back there
2. It further suggests that she's in a tiny room, and
3. The edges of the poster will converge in perspective so that we have a sense of where we are in this room

I shittily Photoshopped one in here, but you get the idea. Anyway, again, I like your photo, it's really cute.

I'm currently using my phone so I'll try what you suggested (thanks a lot for the shortcuts) with an image editing software. I'll check Photoshop CS2 but right now I have Gimp.
People say it's easyer to develop space rockets than to use it but I think I can handle it.

I'll look about those tangents but I suppose it's when two or more objects "touch" in the photo? anyway thanks.

I did actually try a closer look but again, I feel the first image I posted was the best. In this one it looks like she's just staring at nothing... at least to me.

As much as I like the Akazukin design, her face is really boring. If they announce Alice extra faceplates before RRH goes up for PO I'll definitely get RRH, but if they don't and it looks like neither of them will get more faceplates I might just wait.

I don't care much for the Calico dolls themselves, but so far all of the accessories are great for poches. I picked up their kitchen set and its perfect. Yeah, that's the problem that every long hair character has to use the rainy day or the parka sets, You can work around using the back hair piece of a short hair character like in pic related, is using Anne's back hair piece, In you case you can get Cherie's extra face set that give you a blonde back piece for the ponytail, but you just don't use the ponytail and Alice could use the rainy day set without problems

The balloon accessory doesnt fit into anne's hand perfectly, so it droops a bit, but if you modify it a bit im sure you could make it less droopy when she holds it.

The ballerina leotards are a bit loose, but since theyre meant to be skin-tight on the original doll they fit better than the other evi love clothes. They also come with cute shoes, and 3 pairs of them.

The calico critters ice skating outfits ended up being my favorite, the shoes are a bit loose on anne but if you stuff a little bit of paper into the toe of them theyre nice and snug.

In total, i got 7 pairs of shoes and 7 outfits for 20 dollars (evi love dolls were on clearance). I would say it wasnt a bad deal, most of the stuff is useable, but in the future ill probably just get calico critters. They seem cuter and better made, but thats all just my opinion. Neither of them are perfect fits, so it just comes up to how much you wanna spend and what you thinks cuter.

I bought the exact same set with the ballons. You can pose it a bit so a poche holds it with both hands. The best bet is probably a rubberband around the handle or a little mountung putty to help hold it up more.
