ITT: The one that got away
I had this beast when I was little, it was my absolute favorite. I lost it with most of my other toys and games when my house burned down when I was 13. I've since searched for it and I can't find any for less than a few hundred dollars. Someday, I'll have it back.
I don't even care too much for the little cars/Hoghug figure, the giant itself is awesome. The fingers and wrists were very pose-friendly. I remember the arms being a little difficult but the shoulders were perfect.
Easily my favorite figure of all time, up there with Play Arts Roxas for me.

Fuck house fires, they suck.
There's a couple, but this is one of the oldest for me. When Beast Wars first came out, I really wanted a dragon Transformer, so much so that I tried to write Kenner a letter with a design to submit. but I was also 5 so my handwriting was incomprehensible and my sister never mailed the letter. So when years later, a dragon Megatron actually came out, I should've been super excited. But I couldn't find it at retail. Eventually Beast Machines came out and I lost interest. When I did find it(and Tigerhawk, another one I wanted and couldn't find), it was in 2001 in one of those little toy stores you see in Union City NJ, loaded with everything but recent toys. Like, you'd see everything from bootlegs, to toys from 3-6 years ago, loaded to the gills with no real order on a wall, in a small space, next to bookbags and trinkets.I was into DBZ at the time, so I passed it up in favor of one of those, in hindsight shitty, giant rotocast Goku figures.
As far as things I had, my original Transmetal Megatron's shoulders broke a year into getting him as a kid. In 2012 I replaced him with a Japanese version which I paid way too much for, since I didn't know of any alternatives to eBay at the time, oh well.
I still haven't got a TM2 Megatron, even though I own the Botcon 2016 Megatron. There's not much more I really want in my collection, so I guess I avoid getting it so there's always something out there I want still.
Also, OP, you should totally get the Mondo version if you can find it for around retail. Its a bit light feeling, but its a really cool toy.

Have you heard of the Mondo Iron Giant, OP? Seems to fit all your criteria, and if you were willing to shell out a few hundred bucks for the old one, why not spend a bit more for the new one? The articulation and make are both leagues ahead of the one you posted. I understand the need to get the original because of nostalgic purposes, but if you're a fan of the IG, the mondo's the definitive

>tfw this guy would be literally perfect if they gave him ankle tilts
Xevoz.
I still have a some of their parts laying around but I am missing a lot of them and most of what I can put together is pretty floppy from too much playing as a kid.
I am trying to put together a new collection of them but my favorite ones are pretty much impossible to find online.
>>6245708
Not op but how does this one compare to op's sizewise?
I absolutely loved bionicles when I was a kid and my absolute favorite was this one, hydraxon. I loved how badass he looked as a figure and in the bionicle story and lore.
>>6247221
That's fine and dandy, but how did it get away from you my guy.
>>6247198
The OP one is bigger, but less articulation.
>>6245661
transformers Springer, couldn't afford it
didn't matter in the end because an infinitely better version came out a few years ago
Ah, fuck. I remember i used to have a bunch of bionicle and legos when I was younger. Like two 6x4x4 cardboard boxes full of the things. I remember re-watching Aliens one day and made a bunch of regular xenomorphs out of legos and a queen and powerloader out of bionicle. I tried to re-create the hive scenes with Ripley.
I had to give it all away when I moved overseas. My brother refused to store it for me. Fucking asshole.
Funkeys. I had the game on a shit PC when I was little but that was about it. I had limited figures even though my pops worked for Mattel at the time and could have potentially gotten more, but I was dumb as shit, and little. I never even cared for the game, I preferred the figures.
Come years later and I am a total funkeyfag with over 150 under his belt. Those things are long gone and expensive as shit now. Barely any of the ones I want/need are avalible...
If I wasn't an autist back then, god damn... I totally missed out on all of them. They were just more avalible. Now my only saving graces are Kijiji and Ebay. Even on there people don't know what they're selling.
Does anyone remember/have these guys?
>>6247261
Wow,thanks man.
>>6247300
Don't thank me, thank google.
The Mondo one is severely underrated and flew below the radar unfortunately, which is a damn shame. a lot of people go chicken Little about minor stuff like the lack of ankle rockers, but in-hand its so irrelevant and they're just missing out on a great figure.

TM2 Megs was my grail for the longest time until my wife got me one MIB for Christmas a couple years back.
I still haven't taken it out of the box just because the Beast Wars packaging was so well-made and fucking metal compared to today's

>If I wasn't an autist back then, god damn.
Nice to see you're making up for that lost autism by hoarding those things now.
20th anniversary MP Optimus Prime.
>ask for original optimus prime toy for christmas in like 2006
>expect to get a reissue of the original G1 toy
>get the massive show-accurate diecast beauty instead
>fast forward a few years
>moved houses like 6 times since I got it
>found his dusty body but the head, all the accessories, and a foot are missing
Last time I checked he's worth a few hundred dollars ;_;
I know they made another MP Optimus but I don't like the changed head.
>>6250812
Why do you prefer shortstack prime to mp-01 or mp-04?
>>6249955
>Fucking mellenials.
oh hey, found another one.
>>6250816
Obviously I'd be fine with those but the 20th anniversary one is the one I actually had.

I never get the point of that chart. Trying to imply all new fags are phone posters? You can clearly see there is a increase in desktop sessions as well.
>>6253169
oh fuck lmao
>>6245708
Please teach me where I can find this for less than 500$
