Okay I'm not really a G.I Joe Collector but two of the voice actors (Michael Bell and Arthur Burghardt) in the Real American Show are attending this convention i'm going to in the summer and I want to get a Duke and Destro figure for them to sign.
what are the best versions of these guys. I won't be opening them of course.

Your best bet for single carded figure of each of them that best represent the characters are probably going to be the ones from the 2007-ish 25th anniversary line. They're not all great figures, but since you won't be opening that doesn't really matter. They'll also be very classic representations of them that won't cost too much.

what are the usual prices i should be paying.
I saw this one place, I think it was Play-Guru selling 25th Destro for $35 and 25th Duke for $25.

Yeah, you'll be paying a late tax, but even carded I wouldn't go above $25-35 for either on ebay. I've seen them for less at like your standard toy stall at a flea market (if they have those wherever you are).

There's not many good modern figures with Duke's classic look. The Pursuit of Cobra version is great. It's like a modern update of his classic look with some body armor and knee pads on him.

And my main Duke for display is 50th Duke, who's inspired by his cartoon look but again Doesn't do his straight up classic look. He comes in a two pack for the current line.

Cash Money Destro is sort of HTF, though. I was about to say "Get a Hall of Heroes Duke & Destro for them to sign" but then i remembered there's no HoH Duke or Destro!

The fact that moneybags Destro is highly sought after was one reason I suggested him. He's one of the most costly. Though I'd still recommend 50th to get signed.

What's really funny is Hasbro refers to it as the "Crown Jewel of the Hasbro Universe" but it's dead as a doornail and has been for a while because the public doesn't want war toys.
Meanwhile Transformers is alive and healthy after all this time, and so are a few other Hasbro toy properties.

50th was one of the best lines though. I managed to get 13, 50th Vipers and 9 Viper Officers for a fraction of what the 30th Vipers were going for. I also troop built 8 Zombie Vipers. Not to mention all the new versions of characters like Leatherneck, Saw Viper, Flint, Heavy Duty, and Chuckles.

I really hate his puffy jacket.

The arms of the jacket aren't that bad. He looks very good in hand; easily one of the best of the recent 50th wave. He pairs nicely with other brightly colored, Sunbow style figures like the 4 pack Lady Jaye, Shipwreck and General Hawk. Also looks good with Retaliation Ultimate Snake Eyes and Ultimate Cobra Commander.
