Think they could retool this mold further?
Discuss
>>6237314
I want to get a Windblade toy, I really do. I like her design process concept and her character is fun. I just wish they'd make a GOOD toy of her for once.
>>6237318
the RID2015 toy has a fuckhuge cockpit backpack, and overly chucky jet mode with arms that aren't even trying to hide, and SERIOUS plastic/paint colour match issues.
>>6237318
>Low effort Airachnid
As shit as TR Windblade is, let's not get silly with the hyperbole
>>6237314
It should have been used for Nautica.
>>6237321
Basically it can be used for Low-effort any_fembot. Airachnid, Airazor, even arcee if they want to push it.
>space boat
>then helicopter
>now vtol jet
Now I want either a car or a bike.
Fuck, a tank will suffice too.
>>6237327
I can see a new Tracks or Sunstreaker
Bike? Maybe Wreckgar
Tank? I have no idea who else could be a tank at this point
Plus Hardhead mold exist
>>6237320
>fuckhuge cockpit backpack, and overly chucky jet mode with arms that aren't even trying to hide
All Windblade toys have these issues. It's just that the RID warrior executes this transformation the cleanest. Deco-wise, there's the Titan Force, TAV and Combiner Force versions to choose from.
>>6237330
>All Windblade toys have these issues.
Yes, hence my complaint about all Windblade toys sucked and my wanting of a good one.
>>6237324
that head design should have been used as well
>>6237314
Her waist is just mistransformed right?
>>6237356
It's a feature.
Time for another ko alert, and a question.
Yep, the guys at bb7/bbq who made the near perfect replica seekers (minus faction emblems which are stickers, I guess to evade legal hassles SOMEHOW!?!?) have made this limited edition...clear purple seeker.
My question is, is this a joke or is this meant to homage starscream or something, I can't wrap my head around it
>>6237381
>>6237386
Well shit
>>6237357
That is some Pat Lee tier shit.
>>6237339
I'd even be cool with Blurrtica if they got the head right.
>>6237390
Nah, if it was Pat Lee, Tailgate's limbs would be bloated to hell and back
>>6237390
>>6237401
sasuga mr. Funana-san
>>6237401
Looking at this art makes me appreciate how much better the IDW comics (particular the works done by Alex Milne) look.
>>6237401
>Fortress Maximus is the size of Ultra Mangus
>Still has his own area code
>>6237401
>bottom left optimus
>>6237419
Someone needs to do an edit of this.
We need a noptimus
>>6237327
Did they move this engineering team on tos omething else?
All the upcoming remolds are lazy as fuck and suffer from stray arms in alt mode (except twintwist and he's still lazy.)
>>6237469
Wouldn't be the movie line, so far straight repaints of existing figures.
I have beef with quake and krok, but the rest have been fitting (though I wonder how anyone can save kup)
>>6237475
The only person that I know is working on movie stuff is the guy who did the MP-10 Prime.
So if anything, the Movie MP toys will be good.
>>6237477
If I recall correctly the budget for the movie toys will be limited.
They did mention a few retools and redeco's but people thought it was a translation error, so...
Its gonna be a mixed bag, looking forward to leader megs (why megs not galvs?), and nothing else apart from mp movie bee (which I...think is done by yuki since he spoke about it in a dengeki hobby interview, husui is the guy who did mp-10 so I guess we might see a few interesting tricks)
>>6237483
Galvatron is what the humans called him, but as far as he seems to be concerned, he is still and always has been Megatron.
>>6237329
Wreck-Gar would make sense since they're doing the movie/S3 crew.
They could also reuse the mold for Sideways.
>>6237483
I'm looking forward to retools of this.
>>6237492
There is always wave 6...and perhaps a third box set could give us sideways
>>6237419
>>6237496
I still don't understand why they gave us a redeco of the previous bumblebee, is that piece of shit gonna be in the movie before he's upgraded?
>>6237497
if it's anything like cw then it's all remolds with possibly one new Voy mold.
>>6237498
Is that Bendydick cumbersomebitch?
>>6237499
To pad out the waves. Looks like they aren't making many new molds for this film.
>>6237496
I like this, but now that he's back to his old look I'd rather see a MP remold with the body kit parts.
>>6237523
Well, I guess that's good.
Less oc movie characters more focus on other lines like generations
>>6237525
Simple retool job, that can easily milk that mold to death
>>6237528
Easily.
Hell, throw me some Stealth Bumblebee in with a nice matte black and glossy orange stripes.
>>6237530
Or go full murderbee.
>>6237543
Huh, his paws aren't ball hinges? Weird.
>>6237543
>>6237545
>>6237317
How do you feel about legends?
>>6237610
She is pretty fun.
>>6237617
Meh, I think everyone expects a backpack on Windblade at this point. It's more that it just looks like a lackluster mold. Plus we've yet to see any good picture of it. There's the mistransformed one you posted and that "power squats" pose of the offical renders.
>>6237617
Hell, Blitzwing and Slugslinger's kibble stopped being kibble after a certain point in their existence and just became part of the figure's identity.
It'd be like calling the Datsun triplets out for having door wings, or Optimus for not folding away his windshield pecs.
>>6237616
I like that background. Did you make it?
>>6237625
Yep. I use it in a lot of pictures I post on here. I just wanted a simple cybertronian backdrop. And thanks!
So after what Conway said about microwaves turning into cameras, who wants a triple changer? It would give Ejector a new friend in the kitchen.
>>6237617
massive fucking backpack (yes I am aware it needs to hold a titan master, it's still huge), arms that go nowhere, very obvious legs in jet mode.
It's like the problem of the generations toy and the RID toy had a baby
>>6237663
who said what now, because i misread that as "Convoy"
>>6237610
I think it's cute and any problems it has are mitigated by the limitations of its size (unlike >>6237330), but the cost-to-size ratio is out of my value zone, it'd rather have a properly sized one anyway, and gosh darn it, hasbro should be able to do a good toy of their brand celebration character. it's the principal.
>>6237314
Dem legs.
>>6237679
Oh hey Maverick, long time no see.
>>6237317
I've just embraced the fact that Windblade can't get a good toy and I'm happy with the LG version because it looks the best.
>>6237680
Hi, I'm here quite offten, just stopped using the nametag.
>>6237679
these proportions are terrible, even for fetish fuel
look at her face and then at her thigh
>>6237696
It is a fucking alien robot
>>6237701
I want to fuck an alien robot.
>>6237701
and it looks fucking retarded even for a fucking alien robot meant for fucking
>>6237617
I just don't find it to be much better than the RID version. Her headsculpt getting turned into a box without a removable crown is also unfortunate.
>>6237356
Yeah it's just not pushed down.
>>6237696
you know real people can have those proportions, right?
>>6237314
I would if I could put those T H I C C legs onto the RiD or Gen one.
Maybe onto the RiD and then swap in the arms from Generations.
>>6237742
Imagine a Windblade with the worst parts of all her dexule-sized releases!
>>6237308
Chromedome doesn't share ANYTHING with Dead End. It's the same case as G2 Smokescreen/Energon Starscream.
CW Dead End, TR Chromedome and TR Blurr and completely indipendant and unique molds. They just used the same concept of engineering for Dead End, with Chromedome.
>>6237277
Windblade reuses the thighs, biceps and most likely the sliding spine mechanism and probably the shoulder ball joints. Still counts as a retool.
>>6237610
This is what I ended up settling on. Shes real fun and a qt3.14 but i would love a solid deluxe scale.
The original mold being such a let down is double the bummer because they used it for Slipstream and Airazor, both figures I would love to want but I just know I'll be disapointed
>>6237768
I think when they brought up shared parts they meant the gun
Astroforce!!! Assemble!!!
>>6237780
The gun, thighs, knees, and titan master body
>>6237800
I should really pick up Sentinel as a body for Sawback. He's my favorite tm so far and he should have his own body. If only there was somewhere for his lion to attach in either vehicle mode.
>>6237804
My advice is to get a loose SDCC one. It matches better.
>>6237805
That does look pretty good. I didn't realize his titan master was transparent too, that's pretty cool.
>>6237807
No idea of it's still up but a Chinese eBay page I got mine was selling a good amount lose for cheap ($20 usd) Pretty sure they were factory rejects so take caution. Mine has a weak TM connector.
>Hey kid wanna triple change?
And so started Revolver's obsession with altmodes.
>>6237811
Yeah, I just picked up the 'last one' for 24.99. Here's hoping it's not too bad for a potential reject.
>>6237818
I'm out about $120 total for all for but I loved the mold when I bought Sentinal Prime and knew I want all the repaints/retools. I will likely without shame buy the Ehobby one that was hinted at.
>three headed dragon in edgy black-red colors
>autobot
Bullshit.
>>6237797
Will there ever be a 3rd party kit to connect them together?
>>6237818
Assuming he went with HLJ anon's out less than any MP Soundwave or OP made. Not justifying it just sharing this hobby isn't really for the sane to start with.
Combiner Wars is still relevant, right???
>>6237821
The only place I see the symbol is there on the side and they've been pretty loose with the symbols on packaging lately. Several TR figures have the wrong symbols. Unless I'm missing other Autobot branding?
>>6237826
Hell yeah it's only a year and a half old.
>>6237821
It's killing more that it's going to be a $30+ Sound effect brick
>>6237826
What guns are those on onslaught?
>>6237826
>dat custom chocolate Blast-off
oh baby
>>6237828
It's not even wrong as planned. All wave one and two had Autobot all wave 3 and 4 have decepticon ones.
>>6237818
Honestly I'm shock it took this long for some one to do it here.
>>6237833
The Perfect Effect gun set.
>>6237836
Ah, neat. I'd never kept track of who had what or which waves, but that makes sense.
What's this I heard about memes and combiner wars?
>>6237821
it's not like it hasn't happened before
>>6237854
He wasn't an Autobot.
>>6237826
Brawl reminds me of a dumpy old man with a beer gut when he's standing.
I still stand by my statement that he's so shitty I kind of like him.
Am I the only one who hates Cybertronian vehicle modes? They miss the point.
>>6237859
Gotta transform into something when they're on cybertron.
>>6237855
He wasn't really a Decepticon either, despite Hasbro's marketing as such.
>>6237841
I never knew those were a thing, and they come in black too
I really wanted a gun set for my defensor, I think I might get those
>>6237859
Generally I prefer realistic vehicles and organic beasts, but mecha beasts are still cool and I like Cybertronian vehicle modes when they're well designed.
Lately I've been hating Cybertronian vehicle modes that are just slightly different Earth-modes without windows.
>>6237855
Not officially, but he joined Optimus's side and become a good guy.
Not that there was much of the Decepticons left by the end, all they were was Thunderblast leading three idiots
>>6237419
>>6237859
I don't hate them but I get why it can be less charming. More so when they don't even try to had the robot parts becuse of it.
>>6237869
And Thundercracker didn't even want to be there.
>>6237874
>More so when they don't even try to had the robot parts becuse of it.
Opening a can of worms, but a lot of turds are HORRIBLE about that. Not so much that the robot parts are visible, but that there's no aesthetic difference between robot parts and vehicle parts. the greebling just blends together. really thats my main complaint about them.
>>6237863
nigga u wrong
>>6237859
I think they're fine, but a good looking transformer that turns into a real vehicle are always really cool.
The disguise aspect hardly ever comes into play anyway.
>>6237848
IDW Galvatronus if he was FoC Bruticus.
>>6237892
No I agree. Doubly so with the non earth combiners. They don't even try half the time.
>>6237956
i remembered making this a while ago to articulate why I don't like a few third party things.
Alright time for remold/recolor predictions
>Repugnus recolored into Buzzclaw
>TM Megatron from Terribull
>Mindwipe recolored into Ratbat, Optimus Primal, or Wingthing
>Weirdwolf into Carnivac or Cybertron Snarl
>Highbrow into Spinister
>Hot Rod into Sideswipe, Rad, or Wheeljack
>Triggerhappy into Rumbler
>Voyager Megs/Blitzwing into Starscream
>>6237991
But, Mindwipe was already redecoed as Primal
>try to use paypal on target's website
>keeps pretending i selected credit/debit and saying there's no number provided
>>6237997
In Japan. Hasbro needs more sweet, sweet profit to recoup the mold costs.
>>6237828
The legends figure has an Autobot tampo.
>>6238007
They already made Stormcracker and Ultraburst to do that.
>>6237821
The movie Dinobots where blight covered red eyed dinosaurs that were Autobots. This isn't much of a stretch.
>>6238010
This line is half embarrassing half amazing.
Legends Dragonstorm look fun as hell, Leader/Voyager Megs looks great, Fucking Scorn getting a new toy, Movie MP figures, then repaints with the occasional new figure.
Hell, that Legends Prime is 10 years old now.
>>6238048
god megs and scorn looks so fucking good
>>6238048
Scorn looks like complete BW Megatron repaint bait
>It's detailed in one of the club stories, based on the information Hasbro gave them when planning 2016 exclusives. Rather than Deluxe Afterburner and a retooled Strafe, there was a redeco of Legends class Groove as Afterburner, Strafe as a straight redeco of Air Raid (no retooling), and Ironclad, Rook with his alternate Brawl style head (with Afterburner attaching to him). No Scrounge either.
hmn
>>6237991
For Wave 6? I'd say
>Grotusque from Fangry
>Crosshairs from Kup
>Pointblank from Hot Rod
>Sureshot also from Hot Rod
>fifth deluxe Magnificus from Perceptor
>>6238048
Come on. Legion Optimus is only eight years old.
>>6237828
>Several TR figures have the wrong symbols
What do you mean? They have all been labelled properly.
>>6237330
Seems to me all kibble that hangs in the back should detach and become a weapon.
>my opinion juss saying!!
>>6237673
Sentinel Trump's spokesbot Kellyanne Convoy, when speaking on surveillance, mentioned microwaves that turn into cameras.
So what a great idea for a triple changer. A microwave-camera-bot would be great and give Ejector (toaster) and friend in the kitchen.
>>6238128
Don't bring political shit in this thread, please.
>>6238076
I think he's talking about how Hasbro is throwing the movie version of the Decepticon symbol on all current and upcoming Decepticons. Honestly it's bugging the shit out of me and I'll probably buy a sheet of silver-backed 'con logos just to fix them.
>>6238048
>Leader/Voyager Megs looks great
Dragonstorm is getting a Leader in a similar style to Megatron, though images have'nt been shown yet it was listed on Amazon.

>>6238133
thank god i'm not the only it bugs. i don't even have a good reason for it. it just doesn't look as good
>>6237826
Combiner Wars will always have a special spot in my collection.
>>6237314
well Funpub was going to do a Sari figure using Windblade's original mold before they lost the TF license, so maybe Hasbro or Takara could do one using this mold, all they need to do is make a new head and maybe change around a couple other details(maybe giver her some different weapons as well), would be pretty easy, not to mention it'd probably sell pretty well since Sari is a pretty popular character
>>6237469
No, they downsized it. They want to be able to reuse more parts. Things have to be cheaper/easier more cost efficient.
>>6238157
I think what bugs me about it is how representative it is of the movies, ie: making useless and/or ugly changes for change's sake that get spread around where they aren't wanted.
I'm starting to think it isn't an accident, either, because Movie 5 is next year and someone would've caught it before the problem carried over to Trypticon of all things. Goldner probably enforced it to promote "brand synergy" or something equally retarded.
>>6237826
CW is gonna be relevant until they make even better combiners. Which probably won't be for a while, unless oil prices suddenly nosedive and we get someone in charge who isn't a beancounting fuckstick.
>>6238191
>we get someone in charge who isn't a beancounting fuckstick.
As long as the company is named Hasbro and is owned by Jews it will never happen again.
>>6238192
Well, I guess theres always 3P's then.
>>6238206
That's true but paying ~$100 for an entire combiner was an alright price with me. Most third party stuff is at least $100 per component.
I can appreciate the kind of underdog artistry and engineering of the 3rd party gangs, but fuck me that is entirely too much.
Go ahead and call me a poorfag, I guess.
>>6238252
Nah, I agree it's expensive as Hell. It'd be a much easier pill to swallow if they were around $300 total rather than $500-600+.

Alot of the boxes have the wrong faction on them, I'm getting the feeling its based on waves.
What did TR broadside have, was it autobot or decepticon?
>>6238516
Oh, you mean the colored logo on top? I think >>6238519 is right and that it's a per wave basis.
See pic related: there's a red Autobot logo on top of Soundwave's box, but there's still a Decepticon logo next to his name in front as an indicator.
I've been avoiding shopping for TFs for at least half a year now and is it just me or is the market dried up? Even the coveted Takara versions don't seem to be worth a lot.
Are these cheap eBay listings from China bad quality KOs or are these just factory thefts that happened to have the occasional bad QC just like everything?
maybe I shouldn't go back to buying... I saved so much money. the only gestalts I got were the most worthless ones, and they're sitting on the other side of the continent for when I visit those relatives. Takara Superion, Menasor, and Devastator. I want Hasbro Defensor and Bruticus, & a Computron. and G2 Menasor.

Older ones may be a bit higher but its buyers demand that drives up the prices, you want a rare one, saw some supposed babe chromed AOE figures for fucking thousands of dollars on ebay, mp's retain value but people are selling themselves short, its how I'm getting mine cheap.
>Are these cheap eBay listings from China bad quality KOs or are these just factory thefts that happened to have the occasional bad QC?
Bit of both, when you read the listings sometimes they mention they are ko's, there are outright fake stuff and people have complained about even knock off cw shockwave figures, boxed and all.
If you're that worried stay away from Chinese sellers
>maybe I shouldn't go back to buying
Then don't, this year is expensive for me with mp megatron 2.0 and trypticon
>worthless gestalts
>Superion, Menasor, and Devastator
I'm guessing these are unite warrior sets, superion is one of the better ones in terms of qc and design, menasor is shit design wise but individually his components are fine and people have mixed feelings on devastator, I'm personally fine but would of liked him smaller
>I want Hasbro Defensor and Bruticus, & a Computron. and G2 Menasor
Hasbro defensor ain't bad but finding a cheap cw groove (as in the deluxe) can be tough depending on budget range plus his leg ratchets have him leaning all the time, no idea if the UW had that same issue but wouldn't surprise me, hate the fact hasbro bruticus has a repainted slingshot as a standing for blastoff (even though I bought 2 for a custom gestalt) so ended up pre-ordering the UW baldigus set (because his body is rotated so no fat shuttle belly), I would reccomend the UW computron but he flew out the fucking door so fast...but the hasbro one is no doubt on clearance in most places.
g2 menasor would have the same issues as the one you have with weaker plastic tolerances, I know g2 silverbolt's fist can snap off the hinge
>>6238494
What is going on ith Fastgashe's altmode
>>6238580
He has to look the same as a guy with a different altmode, so compromises were made.
>>6238580
Thats how it has always looked, pretty much the G1 figure with improved articulation.
>>6238580
He's one the Clones, bots who all had pretty much identical bot modes, but different vehicle modes.
>>6238365
>and then the company crashes because no majority will pay $40+ for a well engineered deluxe. Western market is just to big sadly.
The implication here was the company would eat the 0.00002 cents extra per figure to make them not as crap, not that we'd be getting SH Figuarts/figma/revoltech/etc tier mainline TF's.
>>6238645
We never will, standard action figures all use similar engineering, they can focus on sculpt.
We have the MP line, its not sold broadly enough to work with collectors seeing as how we usually tend to import rather than buy from tru.
>>6238645
This, basically. I don't know when we ask for relatively simple things that would really improve the line (sometimes very basic things that we used to have), someone always has to immediately jump to FORTY DOLLAR DELUXES GUYS
>>6238651
>someone always has to immediately jump to FORTY DOLLAR DELUXES GUYS
Because people are knee jerk faggots instead of being reasonable. I think things we used to see in mainline figures that we no longer do are entirely reasonable to add back into the line, and Hasbro should eat the cost for it. It's far too obvious someone (or hell, just all of them) in the upper echelons of the company is lining their pockets far more than they should be.
I'm not asking people be denied a "fair" wage (lets face it, none of the higher ups get anything considered "fair" wages), but I am asking they look like they're putting some effort into the products they sell rather than halfassing it on purpose and pocketing the literal fractions of a cent on every unit due to that intentional halfassing.
>>6237815
Well I see "running a train" has taken a new meaning.
>>6238662
>big companies eating cost to make consumers happy
They know people will keep buying shit and if they stop they just stop altogether and keep their profits.
I was gonna argue wages of individual staff that make/design the toys, plastic cost, unions that would be involved pushing up prices, and the almighty share holders who hold everyone by the fucking balls, but there isn't much point.
The sad fact is the consumer is a slave to the corporate machine, take Australia and its cigarettes, a certain pack now cost $36.95 aud, years ago it was supposedly $10, and I know myself it rose by $5 in 2 years because of government taxing which is "meant to help people quit" (KEK!), yet its still the most popular brand.
And these fucking idiots just buy LESS FOOD to buy them.
TF toys can follow the same path, just without the addictive additives (unless they figured out how to make literal plastic crack which would explain why my beside table is covered in tf's)
>>6238650
That's the bigger reason we don't see more labor to it. The already small collector's market stretches out to other means such as imports and 3rd party. Never mind that some collectors just buy one or two characters and that's the end of it.
>>6238645
>>6238662
nice /biz/ there guys but if they are struggling to keep deluxes under $15 with what they are doing now what makes you think they will handle extra work and it not add up fast? Hell you just assume that shit, none of you have any EEDP education or skills you just shit out what sounds right to you.
>>6238669

fun fact: your brain can create all the addictive additives without outside sources.

>>6238676
Well I'm a shopperholic/hoarder, it could be a fucking blind bag, gotta have something to sate my nature.

>>6238684
>I expected the name change, since "Fastlane" is currently trademarked for these automatic cash systems they have in mall supermarkets
Not every country uses that, we use express lane/express in Australia.
>>6238676
yes. I had to basically lock my credit/debit cards for four months to prove to myself I could stop buying TFs and junk in general. It was hellish how cranky I got and how my mind would race with justifications just to get that feel good ping of buying something, anything. After about month 3 however I even out and while I still buy toys and shit I have a lot more self control and don't find the urge to spend when money is present. Biggest thing that help was after that four months I saw I saved over 3k which was a big wake up call how quickly a few purchases a month can add up. Assuming that was average it means I was blowing nearly 10k on toys/games/shit I don't need a year.
>>6238691
I have a feeling I'm heading down the same path as you once have.
I just want an mp galvatron to come out, my holy grails are coming but I can't control myself in between.
>mp megatron 2.0
>titan trypticon
>titan scorponok
>mp galvatron
With these I can actually quit, but I have major plans to quick buying main line shit.
I gotta, I mean gotta have my wisedom teeth extracted soon and I'm not waiting 24 months to get it done, I'm gonna need 3k or more.
I came into this wanting mp 10 and haven't slown down until now
>>6238691
Yeah that legit sounds like you had a problem with spending beyond your means. Then again I'm a poorfag so 3k a month would literally be impossible for me, I barely can afford rent/heat/elec and have to squirrel money away to get a game or toy or a TPB here or there for myself.
>>6238691
Same. This paycheck I promised myself I wouldn't spend anything on toys. Well, so far I'm at <$50 which is honestly better than I expected. I can afford it all, I just...don't want to. I want to actually WANT and ENJOY the stuff I buy. I plan to do even better next paycheck.
There really is some kind of addiction involved in this.
Although preordered stuff doesn't count, I've already budgeted for it.
>>6238698
>Yeah that legit sounds like you had a problem with spending beyond your means.
That's the thing I wasn't. I bring in about 76k a year, and I didn't think I was spending 10k. I can only imagine the rabbit hole I would have sent myself down if I ever decided to "splurge"
I feel if I was poor I just be spending say $800 a year, still way to much on fucking plastic toys and games.
>>6238703
>I feel if I was poor I just be spending say $800 a year, still way to much on fucking plastic toys and games.
That isn't that much in the long run. To me, thats entertainment. Instead of going out for a burger, or movie, or whatever the fuck, that money ends up going to a game or plastic whatever.
Then again I'm the sort of person that'll run out to buy a $60 game and then put 50-300+ hours into it (depending on game type) easily, and balk at the $20+ a movie ticket and popcorn costs because it's only an hour or so's worth of entertainment.
>>6238653
that is no plane boy that is one of the dinoking limbs
>>6238712
>balk at the $20+ a movie ticket and popcorn costs because it's only an hour or so's worth of entertainment.
This is why I try to avoid meet up with friends when a movie is involved.
If I must I wear a decent coat, I'll bring my own confectionery, fuck the system I could buy several proper meals with that $20
>>6238684
It's also the name of a WWE pay-per-view.

Oh.
>>6238712

I'm not sure saying I rather have my garbage then their garbage is a strong case for any of this argument. The fact your mind jumps straight to food when talking about entertainment goods isn't a good sign.
>>6238752
Its a retool/addition/cluster of the TFPrime Abominus set.
>>6238756
And head
>>6238712
>That isn't that much in the long run.
To give context however that's buying every full wave as the release in a year with a good some left over. That's a lot of wasted money.
>Then again I'm the sort of person that'll run out to buy a $60 game and then put 50-300+ hours into it
According to Steam that makes you the average so it's safe to assume most think like you.
>>6238764
that would be a given with the new torso bot....
>>6238735
3P combiners follow whatever is "right" for the combiner. So 3P Devy's have 6 members, etc.

Meh, nevermind, this looks bad too imo. The only good one is the TAV version.

>>6238834
With a cockpit so fucking huge they could've remolded it so it transforms into the arms.
>>6238862
I feel like with every single figure she's gotten having the nosecone on the back, it's a fully-intended design choice for Windblade by this point.
>>6238868
>people still complains about huge cockpit in the back
>people still complains about arms hanging at the sides of jet mode
I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone here, I don't really care about design choices when the final product can be improved.
>>6238812
I like that guy but it rather sucks how a limb team for him is rather limited
>>6238880
Yeah, but one of those birds very clearly wants to stay,
Maybe the arms are just PART of the fuselage then?
>>6238885
I'd grab a G2 Menasor set and use that version of the Stunticons for his limbs, especially since G2 Menasor sets are pretty cheap these days
>>6238862
or at least contain the arms to justify its size
>>6238712
I actually measure a lot by how many transformers I could get for it.
>Wake up after a night of all-out clubbing
>Realise you spent a whole CW Combiner
>>6238735
All of the proper combiners have their 6 members, even TFC's Hades has the proper 6 members.
>>6238999
Thats a bit overboard for me. I just tend to weigh things based on the amount of time I think I'll get out of something.
Like I figure a figure I can easily mess with over a long period of time, taking pics of it, posing when I'm bored, etc. A game I'd try to estimate how many hours I could get out of it when compared to other potential games, etc.
This is probably why I rarely end up buying movies, or play so many RPG's, or grab a few Legends over Deluxes. More percieved value for the same/lower price.
>>6239006
Maybe Takara will release their version of Nautica so you can pay $40 instead of $100 later.
JK, not actually happening.
>>6239015
It actually could happen. Takara's done comic characters before.
>>6238999
I basically do the same thing way too much
>I could buy lunch and not go hungry
>...or a new deluxe
In my defense, I'm kind of a cheapass and I think pretty much any prepared food is horribly overpriced, but I definitely have to force myself to food more than any reasonable human should.
>>6239006
You could definitely just buy the set and sell off Laser Prime, Quickswitch and Fastlane my their lonesome easily.
>>6239024
Since they have the female TM Windblade mold, maybe they'll do another female set like they did with BA/Slipstream/Nightbird and Windblade/Chromia/Arcee.
>>6239037
But who is the third one?
A Minelba from kitbashing various molds?
>>6239039
1) either another extensive remold of an existing TM into a female character
or
2) maybe a reuse of the chromia mold as one of the season 2 female autobots.
>>6239043
>1) either another extensive remold of an existing TM into a female character
Still surprised we haven't seen Blurr into Arcee yet. Seems like a pretty easy fit.
>>6239039
>using the fucking engrish abortion Minelba instead of the logical Minerva

>>6239053
Then the translation teams are retarded.
>>6239064
>Series was designed for a Japanese audience
>Complains about the Japanese team not knowing the name of their characters
>>6239054
Thats what happens with a lot of figures though. Take Blurr for example. Great mold, but they really should've molded him in his proper colors. Takara did it, why couldn't Hasbro?
>>6239072
I think TR Blurr was just some sort of exercise in seeing how little paint they can get away with in a toy.
I don't see how anyone could let a toy that bad go into production in good faith.
>>6239092
>in good faith
The board of directors wants to hear money falling into their pockets, not money seeping out of it for luxury things like paint apps, stickers, tampos, and different plastic colors.
>>6238495
Striker Noir. The price is similar to the other two being Takara exclusive repaints. Also comes with an edgelord staple gunblade configuration for his extra weps

I thought the Titan Masters were that.
>>6239092
because the budgets keep getting slashed by upper management and bean counters who have also decided to move manufacturing to even cheaper hellholes like Vietnam
>>6239028
>any prepared food is horribly overpriced
It really is. You save an insane amount of money by just bringing a lunchbox when you go out.
>>6239047
I'm glad I'm not the only one who could see this.
Blurr's alt-mode is pretty similar to Gen Arcee's.
Am I the only one who wants the Stunticons to have loud paint-jobs, built-in weapons and spikes everywhere?
>>6239123
lemme fix that for you:
>I want the Stunticons to have loud paint-jobs, built-in weapons and spikes everywhere.
>>6239122
they would either need to give arcee windshield boobs or have her be boobless, and either might be too far away from their desired character design identity to do it.

>>6239123

It's the movie line, man. It's literally Hasbro's garbage dump. Just ignore it like everyone else does, and hope they put out more Generations stuff ASAP.
>>6239297
I hope they don't. G1 is shit and I'm tired of it, so after the movie line they should start rebooting Beast Wars
>>6239300
Generations isn't G1 you idiot. It's an all-encompassing line. There is no disputing G1 is the most popular part of it though.
Also why do you need BW rebooted? You're getting MP's now. It's like the people asking for a "good" Hotrod. MP28 exists, it's damn near perfect, go buy that.
>>6239302
>Also why do you need BW rebooted?
Because G1 and Warden suck, they need to fire him and start focusing on actually good shows like BW. Masterpieces are cool but they're slow as hell.
>>6239123
I'd love a version of the Stunticons where they all turn into different racing vehicles. We already have an F1, and Motormaster is clearly the racing team trailer, so let's make the others into a stock car, a rally car, a 60 second car, and give 'em a pair of motorbikes that transform into a gun.
>>6239069
They don't, it's simple as that.
>>6239123
Naw I'm happy with them being regular cars.
I definitely would not be opposed to a team of MadMaxicons, though. Like take AoE Megatron and make 5 more of him and we're good.
>>6237821
Ghidorahtron.
>>6239319
>because my opinions on cartoons
>>6239354
But G1 is objectively shit and BW is objectively good. Not my opinions, these are facts.
>>6239354
Not him but with Primal "winning" the poll surely there is going to be a push for BW in some capacity? I mean generations has dabbled into figures inspired by several other series. Not to mention several of the core cast of BW got generations figures.
I do agree with the Anon in question that while G1 is the cornerstone of the TF toyline it's also pretty overdone at this point. It'd be nice to have a change once in a while.

Had a creepy dream last night:
IDW revealed that Mindwipe was trans.
The TV program about the first "trans" Transformer had them talking about how Mindwipe was an animal Transformer who was a bat but who wanted to be human. So she started killing other Transformers and taking their body parts (including another transformers' head) until "she was a he" and the only remaining trace of "her" original body was her Bat head.
Worse thing was Roberts stating FtM Trans Mindwipe was based upon Blanche from Golden Girls voice and personality-wise.

Bullshit.

>First published: February 20, 2008
>Howlback's appearance in Recordicons is actually a fairly momentous situation, from a meta viewpoint. As the Shattered Glass universe in which it is set has crossed over with the Classics universe—which is itself a Marvel-derived continuity—Howlback's assigned sex is "neuter", but as she identifies as a woman (as expressed in her Recordicons appearance), she has the honor of being the first Transformers character in the history of the brand to be depicted in official fiction as transgender—at least according to the author.
>Recordicons is a series of comic strips by David Willis, showcasing the adventures of Shattered Glass Ravage and other Mini-Cassettes. It was published as back up strips in the Hasbro Transformers Collectors' Club starting with issue #34 and ending with issue #63.

The Transformers franchise ignoring beast wars is basically like marvel ignoring the fantastic four. Disney writes it off like "cant make movies, have trouble with marketing cause of movies....fuck em"
So unless mainframe or some other company holds the rights, I don't see the issue. Both could exist side by side. WE should and could have a bigger expanded transformers universe, with multiple cartoons and such.....but.... idk wtf hasbros problem is.
